1. The following are the stages by which the Israelites journeyed up by companies from the land of Egypt under the guidance of Moses and Aaron.

2. By the LORD'S command Moses recorded the starting places of the various stages. The starting places of the successive stages were:

3. They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the Passover morrow the Israelites went forth in triumph, in view of all Egypt,

4. While the Egyptians buried their first-born all of whom the LORD had struck down; on their gods, too, the LORD executed judgments.

5. Setting out from Rameses, the Israelites camped at Succoth.

6. സുക്കോത്തില്നിന്നു അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു മരുഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള ഏഥാമില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

6. Setting out from Succoth, they camped at Etham near the edge of the desert.

8. Setting out from Pi-hahiroth, they crossed over through the sea into the desert, and after a three days' journey in the desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.

9. മാറയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഏലീമില് എത്തി; ഏലീമില് പന്ത്രണ്ടു നീരുറവും എഴുപതു ഈത്തപ്പനയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു അവര് അവിടെ പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

9. Setting out from Marah, they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.

10. ഏലീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ചെങ്കടലിന്നരികെ പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

10. Setting out from Elim, they camped beside the Red Sea.

11. ചെങ്കടലിന്നരികെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു സീന് മരുഭൂമിയില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

14. ആലൂശില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു രെഫീദീമില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി; അവിടെ ജനത്തിന്നു കുടിപ്പാന് വെള്ളമില്ലായിരുന്നു.

14. Setting out from Alush, they camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

32. ബെനേയാക്കാനില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഹോര്-ഹഗ്ഗിദ്ഗാദില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

37. അവര് കാദേശില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു എദോംദേശത്തിന്റെ അതിരിങ്കല് ഹോര്പര്വ്വതത്തിങ്കല് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

37. Setting out from Kadesh, they camped at Mount Hor on the border of the land of Edom.

38. പുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോന് യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ഹോര് പര്വ്വതത്തില് കയറി, യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പോന്നതിന്റെ നാല്പതാം സംവത്സരം അഞ്ചാം മാസം ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി അവിടെവെച്ചു മരിച്ചു.

38. (Aaron the priest ascended Mount Hor at the LORD'S command, and there he died in the fortieth year from the departure of the Israelites from the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.

39. അഹരോന് ഹോര് പര്വ്വതത്തില്വെച്ചു മരിച്ചപ്പോള് അവന്നു നൂറ്റിരുപത്തിമൂന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

39. Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.

40. എന്നാല് കനാന് ദേശത്തു തെക്കു പാര്ത്തിരുന്ന കനാന്യനായ അരാദ്രാജാവു യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളുടെ വരവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടു.

40. Now, when the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negeb in the land of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming....)

41. ഹോര് പര്വ്വതത്തിങ്കല്നിന്നു അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു സല്മോനയില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

41. Setting out from Mount Hor,-They camped at Zalmonah.

42. സല്മോനയില് നിന്നു പറപ്പെട്ടു പൂനോനില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

42. Setting out from Zalmonah, they camped at Punon.

43. പൂനോനില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഔബോത്തില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

43. Setting out from Punon, they camped at Oboth.

44. ഔബോത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു മോവാബിന്റെ അതിരിങ്കല് ഈയേ-അബാരീമില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

44. Setting out from Oboth, they camped at Iye-abarim on the border of Moab.

45. ഈയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദീബോന് ഗാദില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

47. അല്മോദിബ്ളാഥയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു നെബോവിന്നു കിഴക്കു അബാരീംപര്വ്വതത്തിങ്കല് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

47. Setting out from Almon-diblathaim, they camped in the Abarim Mountains opposite Nebo.

48. അബാരീംപര്വ്വതത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു യെരീഹോവിന്നെതിരെ യോര്ദ്ദാന്നരികെ മോവാബ് സമഭൂമിയില് പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

48. Setting out from the Abarim Mountains, they camped on the plains of Moab along the Jericho stretch of the Jordan.

49. യോര്ദ്ദാന്നരികെ മോവാബ് സമഭൂമിയില് ബേത്ത്-യെശീമോത്ത് മുതല് ആബേല്-ശിത്തീംവരെ പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

49. Their camp along the Jordan on the plains of Moab extended from Beth-jeshimoth to Abelshittim.

50. യെരീഹോവിന്നെതിരെ യോര്ദ്ദാന്നരികെ മോവാബ് സമഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

50. The LORD spoke to Moses on the plains of Moab beside the Jericho stretch of the Jordan and said to him:

51. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടുന്നതെന്തെന്നാല്നിങ്ങള് യോര്ദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ കനാന് ദേശത്തേക്കു കടന്നശേഷം

51. 'Tell the Israelites: When you go across the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

52. ദേശത്തിലെ സകലനിവാസികളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും ബിംബങ്ങളെയും എല്ലാം തകര്ത്തു അവരുടെ സകലപൂജാഗിരികളെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയേണം.

52. drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you; destroy all their stone figures and molten images, and demolish all their high places.

53. നിങ്ങള് ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കി അതില് കുടിപാര്ക്കേണം; നിങ്ങള് കൈവശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ആ ദേശം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

53. 'You shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land as your property.

54. നിങ്ങള് കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി ദേശം ചീട്ടിട്ടു അവകാശമാക്കേണം; ആളേറെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും ഏറെയും കുറെയുള്ളവകൂ കുറെയും അവകാശം കൊടുക്കേണം; അവന്നവന്നു ചീട്ടു എവിടെ വീഴുന്നുവോ അവിടെ അവന്റെ അവകാശം ആയിരിക്കേണം; പിതൃഗോത്രം പിതൃഗോത്രമായി നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അവകാശം ലഭിക്കേണം.

54. You shall apportion the land among yourselves by lot, clan by clan, assigning a large heritage to a large group and a small heritage to a small group. Wherever anyone's lot falls, there shall his property be within the heritage of his ancestral tribe.

55. എന്നാല് ദേശത്തെ നിവാസികളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയാതിരുന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് അവരില് ശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണുകളില് മുള്ളുകളും പാര്ശ്വങ്ങളില് കണ്ടകങ്ങളുമായി നിങ്ങള് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കും.

55. 'But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those whom you allow to remain will become as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the country where you live,

56. അത്രയുമല്ല, ഞാന് അവരോടു ചെയ്വാന് നിരൂപിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യും.

56. and I will treat you as I had intended to treat them.'
