1. ആ കാലത്തു യേശു ശബ്ബത്തില് വിളഭൂമിയില്കൂടി കടന്നുപോയി; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് വിശന്നിട്ടു കതിര് പറിച്ചു തിന്നുതുടങ്ങി
ആവർത്തനം 23:24-25

1. One [Shabbat] during that time, Yeshua was walking through some wheat fields. His [talmidim] were hungry, so they began picking heads of grain and eating them.

2. പരീശര് അതു കണ്ടിട്ടുഇതാ, ശബ്ബത്തില് വിഹിതമല്ലാത്തതു നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. On seeing this, the [P'rushim] said to him, 'Look! Your [talmidim] are violating [Shabbat]!'

3. But he said to them, 'Haven't you ever read what David did when he and those with him were hungry?

4. He entered the House of God and ate the Bread of the Presence!'- which was prohibited, both to him and to his companions; it is permitted only to the [cohanim].

5. 'Or haven't you read in the [Torah] that on Shabbat the [cohanim] profane [Shabbat] and yet are blameless?

8. For the Son of Man is Lord of [Shabbat]!'

9. അവന് അവിടം വിട്ടു അവരുടെ പള്ളിയില് ചെന്നപ്പോള്, കൈ വരണ്ട ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.

9. Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue.

10. അവര് അവനില് കുറ്റം ചുമത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു ശബ്ബത്തില് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

10. A man there had a shriveled hand. Looking for a reason to accuse him of something, they asked him, 'Is healing permitted on [Shabbat]?'

11. അവന് അവരോടു“നിങ്ങളില് ഒരുത്തന്നു ഒരു ആടുണ്ടു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ; അതു ശബ്ബത്തില് കുഴിയില് വീണാല് അവന് അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു കയറ്റുകയില്ലയോ?

11. But he answered, 'If you have a sheep that falls in a pit on [Shabbat], which of you won't take hold of it and lift it out?

12. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യന് ആടിനെക്കാള് എത്ര വിശേഷതയുള്ളവന് . ആകയാല് ശബ്ബത്തില് നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതു വിഹിതം തന്നേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

12. How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore, what is permitted on [Shabbat] is to do good.'

13. പിന്നെ ആ മനുഷ്യനോടു“കൈ നീട്ടുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവന് നീട്ടി, അതു മറ്റേതുപോലെ സൌഖ്യമായി.

13. Then to the man he said, 'Hold out your hand.' As he held it out, it became restored, as sound as the other one.

14. പരീശന്മാരോ പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് വേണ്ടി അവന്നു വിരോധമായി തമ്മില് ആലോചിച്ചു.

14. But the [P'rushim] went out and began plotting how they might do away with Yeshua.

15. യേശു അതു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവിടം വിട്ടുപോയി, വളരെ പേര് അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു; അവന് അവരെ ഒക്കെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കി,

15. Aware of this, he left that area. Many people followed him; and he healed them all

16. തന്നെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കരുതു എന്നു അവരോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു.

16. but warned them not to make him known.

17. “ഇതാ, ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത എന്റെ ദാസന് , എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പ്രിയന് ; ഞാന് എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ അവന്റെമേല് വേക്കും; അവന് ജാതികള്ക്കു ന്യായവിധി അറിയിക്കും.”

17. This was to fulfill what had been spoken through Yesha'yahu the prophet,

18. അവന് കലഹിക്കയില്ല, നിലവിളിക്കയില്ല; ആരും തെരുക്കളില് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കയുമില്ല.

18. 'Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, with whom I am well pleased; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will announce justice to the Gentiles.

19. ചതഞ്ഞ ഔട അവന് ഒടിച്ചുകളകയില്ല; പുകയുന്ന തിരി കെടുത്തുകളകയില്ല; അവന് ന്യായവിധി ജയത്തോളം നടത്തും.

19. He will not fight or shout, no one will hear his voice in the streets;

20. അവന്റെ നാമത്തില് ജാതികള് പ്രത്യാശവേക്കും”

20. he will not snap off a broken reed or snuff out a smoldering wick until he has brought justice through to victory.

21. എന്നിങ്ങനെ യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു നിവൃത്തി ആകുവാന് സംഗതിവന്നു.

21. In him the Gentiles will put their hope.'

22. അനന്തരം ചിലര് കുരുടനും ഊമനുമായോരു ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ഊമന് സംസാരിക്കയും കാണ്കയും ചെയ്വാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് അവനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.

22. Then some people brought him a man controlled by demons who was blind and mute; and Yeshua healed him, so that he could both speak and see.

23. പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും വിസ്മയിച്ചുഇവന് ദാവീദ് പുത്രന് തന്നേയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. The crowds were astounded and asked, 'This couldn't be the Son of David, could it?'

24. അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു പരീശന്മാര്ഇവന് ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ തലവനായ ബെയെത്സെബൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടല്ലാതെ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. But when the [P'rushim] heard of it, they said, 'It is only by Ba'al-Zibbul'- the ruler of the demons- 'that this man drives out demons.'

25. അവന് അവരുടെ നിരൂപണം അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“ഒരു രാജ്യം തന്നില് തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കില് ശൂന്യമാകും;

25. However, knowing what they were thinking, Yeshua said to them, 'Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not survive.

26. ഒരു പട്ടണമോ ഗൃഹമോ തന്നില് തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കില് നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല. സാത്താന് സാത്താനെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് അവന് തന്നില് തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു പോയല്ലോ; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ രാജ്യം എങ്ങനെ നിലനിലക്കും?

26. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself; so how can his kingdom survive?

27. ഞാന് ബെയെത്സെബൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്, നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കള് ആരെക്കൊണ്ടു പുറത്താക്കുന്നു? അതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ന്യായാധിപന്മാര് ആകും.

27. Besides, if I drive out demons by Ba'al-Zibbul, by whom do your people drive them out? So, they will be your judges!

28. ദൈവാത്മാവിനാല് ഞാന് ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു സ്പഷ്ടം.

28. But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you!

29. ബലവാനെ പിടിച്ചു കെട്ടീട്ടല്ലാതെ ബലവാന്റെ വീട്ടില് കടന്നു അവന്റെ കോപ്പു കവര്ന്നുകളവാന് എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടിയാല് പിന്നെ അവന്റെ വീടു കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്യാം.
യെശയ്യാ 49:24

29. 'Or again, how can someone break into a strong man's house and make off with his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? After that he can ransack his house.

30. എനിക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലാത്തവന് എനിക്കു പ്രതിക്കുലം ആകുന്നു; എന്നോടുകൂടെ ചേര്ക്കാത്തവന് ചിതറിക്കുന്നു.

30. 'Those who are not with me are against me, and those who do not gather with me are scattering.

31. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതുസകലപാപവും ദൂഷണവും മനുഷ്യരോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; ആത്മാവിന്നു നേരെയുള്ള ദൂഷണമോ ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.

31. Because of this, I tell you that people will be forgiven any sin and blasphemy, but blaspheming the [Ruach HaKodesh] will not be forgiven.

32. ആരെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന്നു നേരെ ഒരു വാക്കു പറഞ്ഞാല് അതു അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്നു നേരെ പറഞ്ഞാലോ ഈ ലോകത്തിലും വരുവാനുള്ളതിലും അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.

32. One can say something against the Son of Man and be forgiven; but whoever keeps on speaking against the [Ruach HaKodesh] will never be forgiven, neither in the ['olam hazeh] nor in the ['olam haba].

33. ഒന്നുകില് വൃക്ഷം നല്ലതു, ഫലവും നല്ലതു എന്നു വെപ്പിന് ; അല്ലായ്കില് വൃക്ഷം ചീത്ത, ഫലവും ചീത്ത എന്നു വെപ്പിന് ; ഫലം കൊണ്ടല്ലോ വൃക്ഷം അറിയുന്നതു.

33. 'If you make a tree good, its fruit will be good; and if you make a tree bad, its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.

34. സര്പ്പസന്തതികളെ, നിങ്ങള് ദുഷ്ടരായിരിക്കെ നല്ലതു സംസാരിപ്പാന് എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതില് നിന്നല്ലോ വായ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു.

34. You snakes! How can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what overflows from the heart.

35. നല്ല മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തില്നിന്നു നല്ലതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യന് ദുര്ന്നിക്ഷേപത്തില്നിന്നു തീയതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു.

35. The good person brings forth good things from his store of good, and the evil person brings forth evil things from his store of evil.

36. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യര് പറയുന്ന ഏതു നിസ്സാരവാക്കിന്നും ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തില് കണകൂ ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

36. Moreover, I tell you this: on the Day of Judgment people will have to give account for every careless word they have spoken;

37. നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാല് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാല് കുറ്റം വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.”

37. for by your own words you will be acquitted, and by your own words you will be condemned.'

38. അപ്പോള് ശാസ്ത്രിമാരിലും പരീശന്മാരിലും ചിലര് അവനോടുഗുരോ, നീ ഒരു അടയാളം ചെയ്തുകാണ്മാന് ഞങ്ങള് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന് അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു

38. At this some of the [Torah]-teachers said, 'Rabbi, we want to see a miraculous sign from you.'

39. “ദോഷവും വ്യഭിചാരവുമുള്ള തലമുറ അടയാളം തിരയുന്നു; യോനാപ്രവാചകന്റെ അടയാളമല്ലാതെ അതിന്നു അടയാളം ലഭിക്കയില്ല.

39. He replied, 'A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign? No! None will be given to it but the sign of the prophet Yonah.

40. യോനാ കടലാനയുടെ വയറ്റില് മൂന്നു രാവും മൂന്നു പകലും ഇരുന്നതു പോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മൂന്നു രാവും മൂന്നു പകലും ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉള്ളില് ഇരിക്കും.
യോനാ 1:17

40. For just as Yonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea-monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the depths of the earth.

41. നീനെവേക്കാര് ന്യായവിധിയില് ഈ തലമുറയോടു ഒന്നിച്ചു എഴുന്നേറ്റു അതിനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും; അവര് യോനയുടെ പ്രസംഗം കേട്ടു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടുവല്ലോ; ഇതാ, ഇവിടെ യോനയിലും വലിയവന് .

41. The people of Ninveh will stand up at the Judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they turned from their sins to God when Yonah preached, but what is here now is greater than Yonah.

42. The Queen of the South will stand up at the Judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Shlomo, but what is here now is greater than Shlomo.

43. അശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം നീരില്ലാത്ത സ്ഥലങ്ങളില് കൂടി തണുപ്പു അന്വേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ലതാനും.

43. 'When an unclean spirit comes out of a person, it travels through dry country seeking rest and does not find it.

44. ഞാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോന്ന എന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലും എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നു; ഉടനെ വന്നു, അതു ഒഴിഞ്ഞതും അടിച്ചുവാരി അലങ്കരിച്ചതുമായി കാണുന്നു.

44. Then it says to itself, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house standing empty, swept clean and put in order.

45. പിന്നെ അവന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു, തന്നിലും ദുഷ്ടതയേറിയ വേറെ ഏഴു ആത്മാക്കളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; അവരും അവിടെ കയറി പാര്ക്കുംന്നു; ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ പിന്നത്തെ സ്ഥിതി മുമ്പിലത്തേതിലും വല്ലാതെ ആകും; ഈ ദുഷ്ടതലമുറെക്കും അങ്ങനെ ഭവിക്കും.”

45. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they come and live there- so that in the end, the person is worse off than he was before. This is how it will be for this wicked generation.'

46. അവന് പുരുഷാരത്തോടു സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയില് അവന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും അവനോടു സംസാരിപ്പാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തു നിന്നു.

46. He was still speaking to the crowd when his mother and brothers appeared outside, asking to talk with him.

47. ഒരുത്തന് അവനോടുനിന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും നിന്നോടു സംസാരിപ്പാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തുനിലക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

48. അതു പറഞ്ഞവനോടു അവന് “എന്റെ അമ്മ ആര് എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര് ആര്” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

48. But to the one who had informed him he replied, 'Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?'

49. ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി“ഇതാ, എന്റെ അമ്മയും എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും.

49. Pointing to his [talmidim], he said, 'Look! Here are my mother and my brothers!

50. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്റെ സഹോദരനും സഹോദരിയും അമ്മയും ആകുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

50. Whoever does what my Father in heaven wants, that person is my brother and sister and mother.'
