1. ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ പറഞ്ഞു തീര്ന്നിട്ടു യേശു ഗലീല വിട്ടു,

1. And it came to pass, when Jesus ended these words, he removed from Galilee and came into the bounds of Judaea beyond the Jordan.

2. യോര്ദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ യെഹൂദ്യദേശത്തിന്റെ അതിരോളം ചെന്നു, വളരെ പുരുഷാരം അവനെ പിന് ചെന്നുഅവന് അവിടെവെച്ചു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.

2. And there followed him large multitudes, and he cured them there.

3. പരീശന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഏതു കാരണം ചൊല്ലിയും ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ എന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചുചോദിച്ചു.

3. And there came unto him Pharisees, testing him, and saying, Whether is it allowed a man to divorce his wife, for every cause?

4. അതിന്നു അവന് “സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവന് ആദിയില് അവരെ ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു എന്നും

4. And, he, answering, said Did ye never read He who created at the beginning, Male and female, made them,

5. അതു നിമിത്തം മനുഷ്യന് അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും; ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായി തീരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു എന്നും നിങ്ങള് വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

5. and said For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and be united to his wife, and, the two, will become, one flesh;

6. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് മേലാല് രണ്ടല്ല, ഒരു ദേഹമത്രേ; ആകയാല് ദൈവം യോജിപ്പിച്ചതിനെ മനുഷ്യന് വേര്പിരിക്കരുതു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

6. So that, the longer, are they, two, but, one flesh, What, therefore, God, hath yoked together, Let not, a man, put asunder.

7. അവര് അവനോടുഎന്നാല് ഉപേക്ഷണപത്രം കൊടുത്തിട്ടു അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാന് മോശെ കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

7. They say unto him Why then did, Moses, command, to give a writing of repudiation and to divorce?

8. അവന് അവരോടു“നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തമത്രെ ഭാര്യമാരെ ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാന് മോശെ അനുവദിച്ചതു; ആദിയില് അങ്ങനെയല്ലായിരുന്നു.

8. He saith unto them Moses, in view of your hardness of heart, permitted you to divorce your wives; From the beginning however, hath it not been done, thus.

9. ഞാനോ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതുപരസംഗം നിമിത്തമല്ലാതെ ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവന് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.”

9. And I say unto you Whosoever shall divorce his wife, saving for unfaithfulness, and shall marry another, committeth adultery.

10. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുസ്ത്രീയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു മനുഷ്യന്റെ അവസ്ഥ ഇങ്ങനെ എങ്കില് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. The disciples say unto him If, so, is the cause of the husband with the wife, it is not expedient to marry.

11. അവന് അവരോടു“വരം ലഭിച്ചവര് അല്ലാതെ എല്ലാവരും ഈ വചനം ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.

11. But, he, said unto them Not all, find room for he word, save they to whom it hath been given;

12. അമ്മയുടെ ഗര്ഭത്തില്നിന്നു ഷണ്ഡന്മാരായി ജനിച്ചവര് ഉണ്ടു; മനുഷ്യര് ഷണ്ഡന്മാരാക്കിയ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യംനിമിത്തം തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരാക്കിയ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് കഴിയുന്നവന് ഗ്രഹിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. For there, are, eunuchs, who, from their mother's womb, were born so, and there, are, eunuchs, who were made eunuchs, by men, and there, are, eunuchs, who have made, themselves, eunuchs, for the sake the kingdom of the heavens: He that is able to find room, let him find room.

13. അവന് കൈവെച്ചു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലര് ശിശുക്കളെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവരെ വിലക്കി.

13. Then, wore brought unto him children, that he might lay his hands upon them, and pray. And, the disciples, rebuked them.

14. യേശുവോ“ശിശുക്കളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് വിടുവിന് ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടേതല്ലോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. But, Jesus, said Suffer the children and do not hinder them to come unto me, for, of such, is the kingdom of the heavens.

15. അങ്ങനെ അവന് അവരുടെ മേല് കൈവെച്ചു പിന്നെ അവിടെ നിന്നു യാത്രയായി.

15. And, laying his hands upon them, he went his way from thence.

16. അനന്തരം ഒരുത്തന് വന്നു അവനോടുഗുരോ, നിത്യജീവനെ പ്രാപിപ്പാന് ഞാന് എന്തു നന്മ ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു

16. And lo! one coming near unto him, said, Teacher! what good thing shall I do, that I may have life age-abiding?

17. അവന് “എന്നോടു നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നല്ലവന് ഒരുത്തനേ ഉള്ളു. ജീവനില് കടപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്ക” എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. And, he, said unto him Why dost thou question me concerning that which is good? There is, One, that is good! But, if thou desirest, into life, to enter, be keeping the commandments.

18. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus, said These: Thou shalt not commit murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness;

19. അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക; കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്ക എന്നിവ തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”

19. Honour thy father and thy mother, and Thou shalt love thy neighbour as, thyself.

20. യൌവനക്കാരന് അവനോടുഇവ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് പ്രമാണിച്ചു പോരുന്നു; ഇനി കുറവുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. The young man saith unto him These all, have I kept, What, further, do I lack?

21. യേശു അവനോടു“സല്ഗുണപൂര്ണ്ണന് ആകുവാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നീ ചെന്നു നിനക്കുള്ളതു വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രര്ക്കും കൊടുക്ക; എന്നാല് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിനക്കു നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടാകും;” പിന്നെ വന്നു “എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. Jesus said unto him If thou desirest to be perfect, Withdraw! sell thy substance, and give to the destitute, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens; and come! be following me.

22. യൌവനക്കാരന് വളരെ സമ്പത്തുള്ളവനാകയാല് ഈ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ദുഃഖിച്ചു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 62:10

22. And the young man, hearing, this word, went away sorrowing, for he was holding large possessions.

23. യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുധനവാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു പ്രയാസം തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

23. And, Jesus, said unto his disciples Verily, I say unto you, A rich man, with difficulty, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

24. ധനവാന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് ഒട്ടകം സൂചിക്കുഴയൂടെ കടക്കുന്നതു എളുപ്പം എന്നും ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Again I say unto you Easier, is it for, a camel, through the eye of a needle, to enter, than a rich man into the kingdom of God.

25. അതുകേട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഏറ്റവും വിസ്മയിച്ചുഎന്നാല് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. And, hearing it, the disciples were being struck with the greatest astonishment, saying Who then can be saved?

26. യേശു അവരെ നോക്കി“അതു മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും അസാദ്ധ്യം എങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തിന്നു സകലവും സാദ്ധ്യം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. And, looking intently, Jesus said unto them With men, this is, impossible, but, with God, all things are possible.

27. പത്രൊസ് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് സകലവും വിട്ടു നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചുവല്ലോ; ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു കിട്ടും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

27. Then, making answer, Peter said unto him Lo! we, have left all, and followed thee, What then shall there be, for us?

28. യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“എന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങള് പുനര്ജ്ജനനത്തില് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങളും പന്ത്രണ്ടു സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരുന്നു യിസ്രായേല് ഗോത്രം പന്ത്രണ്ടിന്നും ന്യായം വിധിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു

28. And, Jesus, said unto them Verily, I say unto you, As for you who followed me in the regeneration, When the Son of Man shall take his seat on his throne of glory, ye also, shall be seated upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29. എന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം വീടുകളെയോ സഹോദരന്മാരെയോ സഹോദരികളെയോ അപ്പനെയോ അമ്മയെയോ മക്കളെയോ നിലങ്ങളെയോ വിട്ടു കളഞ്ഞവന്നു എല്ലാം നൂറുമടങ്ങു ലഭിക്കും; അവന് നിത്യജീവനെയും അവകാശമാക്കും.

29. And, whosoever left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for sake of my name, manifold, shall receive, and life, age-abiding, shall inherit.

30. എങ്കിലും മുമ്പന്മാര് പലര് പിമ്പന്മാരും പിമ്പന്മാര് മുമ്പന്മാരും ആകും.”

30. But many shall be first-last, and last-first.
