1. ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ പറഞ്ഞു തീര്ന്നിട്ടു യേശു ഗലീല വിട്ടു,

1. When Yeshua had finished talking about these things, he left the Galil and traveled down the east side of the Yarden River until he passed the border of Y'hudah.

2. യോര്ദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ യെഹൂദ്യദേശത്തിന്റെ അതിരോളം ചെന്നു, വളരെ പുരുഷാരം അവനെ പിന് ചെന്നുഅവന് അവിടെവെച്ചു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.

2. Great crowds followed him, and he healed them there.

3. പരീശന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഏതു കാരണം ചൊല്ലിയും ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ എന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചുചോദിച്ചു.

3. Some [P'rushim] came and tried to trap him by asking, 'Is it permitted for a man to divorce his wife on any ground whatever?'

4. He replied, 'Haven't you read that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female,

5. അതു നിമിത്തം മനുഷ്യന് അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും; ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായി തീരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു എന്നും നിങ്ങള് വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

5. and that he said, 'For this reason a man should leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two are to become one flesh'?

6. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് മേലാല് രണ്ടല്ല, ഒരു ദേഹമത്രേ; ആകയാല് ദൈവം യോജിപ്പിച്ചതിനെ മനുഷ്യന് വേര്പിരിക്കരുതു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

6. Thus they are no longer two, but one. So then, no one should split apart what God has joined together.'

7. അവര് അവനോടുഎന്നാല് ഉപേക്ഷണപത്രം കൊടുത്തിട്ടു അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാന് മോശെ കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

7. They said to him, 'Then why did Moshe give the commandment that a man should hand his wife a [get] and divorce her?'

8. അവന് അവരോടു“നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തമത്രെ ഭാര്യമാരെ ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാന് മോശെ അനുവദിച്ചതു; ആദിയില് അങ്ങനെയല്ലായിരുന്നു.

8. He answered, 'Moshe allowed you to divorce your wives because your hearts are so hardened. But this is not how it was at the beginning.

9. ഞാനോ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതുപരസംഗം നിമിത്തമല്ലാതെ ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവന് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.”

9. Now what I say to you is that whoever divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery!'

10. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുസ്ത്രീയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു മനുഷ്യന്റെ അവസ്ഥ ഇങ്ങനെ എങ്കില് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. The [talmidim] said to him, 'If that is how things are between husband and wife, it would be better not to marry!'

11. അവന് അവരോടു“വരം ലഭിച്ചവര് അല്ലാതെ എല്ലാവരും ഈ വചനം ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.

11. He said to them, 'Not everyone grasps this teaching, only those for whom it is meant.

12. അമ്മയുടെ ഗര്ഭത്തില്നിന്നു ഷണ്ഡന്മാരായി ജനിച്ചവര് ഉണ്ടു; മനുഷ്യര് ഷണ്ഡന്മാരാക്കിയ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യംനിമിത്തം തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരാക്കിയ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് കഴിയുന്നവന് ഗ്രഹിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. For there are different reasons why men do not marry- some because they were born without the desire, some because they have been castrated, and some because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever can grasp this, let him do so.'

13. അവന് കൈവെച്ചു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലര് ശിശുക്കളെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവരെ വിലക്കി.

13. Then children were brought to him so that he might lay his hands on them and pray for them, but the [talmidim] rebuked the people bringing them.

14. യേശുവോ“ശിശുക്കളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് വിടുവിന് ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടേതല്ലോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. However, Yeshua said, 'Let the children come to me, don't stop them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.'

15. അങ്ങനെ അവന് അവരുടെ മേല് കൈവെച്ചു പിന്നെ അവിടെ നിന്നു യാത്രയായി.

15. Then, after laying his hands on them, he went on his way.

16. അനന്തരം ഒരുത്തന് വന്നു അവനോടുഗുരോ, നിത്യജീവനെ പ്രാപിപ്പാന് ഞാന് എന്തു നന്മ ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു

16. A man approached Yeshua and said, 'Rabbi, what good thing should I do in order to have eternal life?' He said to him,

17. അവന് “എന്നോടു നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നല്ലവന് ഒരുത്തനേ ഉള്ളു. ജീവനില് കടപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്ക” എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. 'Why are you asking me about good? There is One who is good! But if you want to obtain eternal life, observe the [mitzvot].'

18. The man asked him, 'Which ones?' and Yeshua said, 'Don't murder, don't commit adultery, don't steal, don't give false testimony

19. honor father and mother and love your neighbor as yourself.'

20. യൌവനക്കാരന് അവനോടുഇവ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് പ്രമാണിച്ചു പോരുന്നു; ഇനി കുറവുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. The young man said to him, 'I have kept all these; where do I still fall short?'

21. യേശു അവനോടു“സല്ഗുണപൂര്ണ്ണന് ആകുവാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നീ ചെന്നു നിനക്കുള്ളതു വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രര്ക്കും കൊടുക്ക; എന്നാല് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിനക്കു നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടാകും;” പിന്നെ വന്നു “എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. Yeshua said to him, 'If you are serious about reaching the goal, go and sell your possessions, give to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come, follow me!'

22. യൌവനക്കാരന് വളരെ സമ്പത്തുള്ളവനാകയാല് ഈ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ദുഃഖിച്ചു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

22. But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he was wealthy.

23. യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുധനവാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു പ്രയാസം തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

23. Then Yeshua said to his [talmidim], 'Yes. I tell you that it will be very hard for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

24. ധനവാന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് ഒട്ടകം സൂചിക്കുഴയൂടെ കടക്കുന്നതു എളുപ്പം എന്നും ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Furthermore, I tell you that it is easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.'

25. അതുകേട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഏറ്റവും വിസ്മയിച്ചുഎന്നാല് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. When the [talmidim] heard this they were utterly amazed. 'Then who,' they asked, 'can be saved?'

26. യേശു അവരെ നോക്കി“അതു മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും അസാദ്ധ്യം എങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തിന്നു സകലവും സാദ്ധ്യം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. Yeshua looked at them and said, 'Humanly, this is impossible; but with God everything is possible.'

27. പത്രൊസ് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് സകലവും വിട്ടു നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചുവല്ലോ; ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു കിട്ടും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

27. Kefa replied, 'Look, we have left everything and followed you. So what will we have?'

28. യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“എന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങള് പുനര്ജ്ജനനത്തില് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങളും പന്ത്രണ്ടു സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരുന്നു യിസ്രായേല് ഗോത്രം പന്ത്രണ്ടിന്നും ന്യായം വിധിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു

28. Yeshua said to them, 'Yes. I tell you that in the regenerated world, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones and judge the twelve tribes of Isra'el.

29. എന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം വീടുകളെയോ സഹോദരന്മാരെയോ സഹോദരികളെയോ അപ്പനെയോ അമ്മയെയോ മക്കളെയോ നിലങ്ങളെയോ വിട്ടു കളഞ്ഞവന്നു എല്ലാം നൂറുമടങ്ങു ലഭിക്കും; അവന് നിത്യജീവനെയും അവകാശമാക്കും.

29. Everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times more, and he will obtain eternal life.

30. എങ്കിലും മുമ്പന്മാര് പലര് പിമ്പന്മാരും പിമ്പന്മാര് മുമ്പന്മാരും ആകും.”

30. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
