1. അവന് തലപൊക്കി ധനവാന്മാര് ഭണ്ഡാരത്തില് വഴിപാടു ഇടുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

1. And having looked up, he saw those who did cast their gifts to the treasury -- rich men,

2. ദരിദ്രയായോരു വിധവ രണ്ടു കാശു ഇടുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു അവന്

2. and he saw also a certain poor widow casting there two mites,

3. ഈ ദരിദ്രയായ വിധവ എല്ലാവരെക്കാളും അധികം ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായി നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

3. and he said, 'Truly I say to you, that this poor widow did cast in more than all;

4. എല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളുടെ സമൃദ്ധിയില് നിന്നല്ലോ വഴിപാടു ഇട്ടതു; ഇവളോ തന്റെ ഇല്ലായ്മയില് നിന്നു തനിക്കുള്ള ഉപജീവനം ഒക്കെയും ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. for all these out of their superabundance did cast into the gifts to God, but this one out of her want, all the living that she had, did cast in.'

5. ചിലര് ദൈവാലയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അതു മനോഹരമായ കല്ലുകളാലും വഴിപാടുകളാലും അലങ്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്

5. And certain saying about the temple, that with goodly stones and devoted things it hath been adorned, he said,

6. ഈ കാണുന്നതില് ഇടിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ കല്ലു കല്ലിന്മേല് ശേഷിക്കാത്ത കാലം വരും എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

6. 'These things that ye behold -- days will come, in which there shall not be left a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.'

7. ഗുരോ, അതു എപ്പോള് ഉണ്ടാകും? അതു സംഭവിപ്പാറാകുമ്പോഴുള്ള ലക്ഷണം എന്തു എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

7. And they questioned him, saying, 'Teacher, when, then, shall these things be? and what [is] the sign when these things may be about to happen?'

8. And he said, 'See -- ye may not be led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying -- I am [he], and the time hath come nigh; go not on then after them;

9. നിങ്ങള് യുദ്ധങ്ങളെയും കലഹങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുമ്പോള് ഞെട്ടിപ്പോകരുതു; അതു ആദ്യം സംഭവിക്കേണ്ടതു തന്നേ. അവസാനം ഉടനെ അല്ലതാനും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. and when ye may hear of wars and uprisings, be not terrified, for it behoveth these things to happen first, but the end [is] not immediately.'

10. Then said he to them, 'Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom,

11. വലിയ ഭൂകമ്പവും ക്ഷാമവും മഹാവ്യാധികളും അവിടവിടെ ഉണ്ടാകും; ഭയങ്കരകാഴ്ചകളും ആകാശത്തില് മഹാ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകും.

11. great shakings also in every place, and famines, and pestilences, there shall be; fearful things also, and great signs from heaven there shall be;

12. ഇതു എല്ലാറ്റിന്നും മുമ്പെ എന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം അവര് നിങ്ങളുടെമേല് കൈവെച്ചു രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെയും നാടുവാഴികളുടെയും മുമ്പില് കൊണ്ടുപോയി ഉപദ്രവിക്കയും പള്ളികളിലും തടവുകളിലും ഏല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

12. and before all these, they shall lay on you their hands, and persecute, delivering up to synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and governors for my name's sake;

13. അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സാക്ഷ്യം പറവാന് തരം ആകും.

13. and it shall become to you for a testimony.

14. ആകയാല് പ്രതിവാദിപ്പാന് മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി വിചാരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മനസ്സില് ഉറെച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

14. 'Settle, then, to your hearts, not to meditate beforehand to reply,

15. നിങ്ങളുടെ എതിരികള്ക്കു ആര്ക്കും ചെറുപ്പാനോ എതിര്പറവാനോ കഴിയാത്ത വാക്കും ജ്ഞാനവും ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരും.

15. for I will give to you a mouth and wisdom that all your opposers shall not be able to refute or resist.

16. എന്നാല് അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരും ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരും ചങ്ങാതികളും നിങ്ങളെ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും നിങ്ങളില് ചിലരെ കൊല്ലിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

16. 'And ye shall be delivered up also by parents, and brothers, and kindred, and friends, and they shall put of you to death;

17. എന്റെ നാമം നിമിത്തം എല്ലാവരും നിങ്ങളെ പകെക്കും.

17. and ye shall be hated by all because of my name --

18. നിങ്ങളുടെ തലയിലെ ഒരു രോമംപോലും നശിച്ചുപോകയില്ലതാനും.

18. and a hair out of your head shall not perish;

19. നിങ്ങള് ക്ഷമകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണനെ നേടും.

19. in your patience possess ye your souls.

20. സൈന്യങ്ങള് യെരൂശലേമിനെ വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു കാണുമ്പോള് അതിന്റെ ശൂന്യകാലം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വിന് .

20. 'And when ye may see Jerusalem surrounded by encampments, then know that come nigh did her desolation;

21. അന്നു യെഹൂദ്യയിലുള്ളവര് മലകളിലേക്കു ഔടിപ്പോകട്ടെ; അതിന്റെ നടുവിലുള്ളവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകട്ടെ; നാട്ടുപുറങ്ങളിലുള്ളവര് അതില് കടക്കരുതു.

21. then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains; and those in her midst, let them depart out; and those in the countries, let them not come in to her;

22. എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ആ നാളുകള് പ്രതികാരകാലം ആകുന്നു.

22. because these are days of vengeance, to fulfil all things that have been written.

23. ആ കാലത്തു ഗര്ഭിണികള്ക്കും മുല കുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ദേശത്തു വലിയ ഞെരുക്കവും ഈ ജനത്തിന്മേല് ക്രോധവും ഉണ്ടാകും.

23. 'And woe to those with child, and to those giving suck, in those days; for there shall be great distress on the land, and wrath on this people;

24. അവര് വാളിന്റെ വായ്ത്തലയാല് വീഴുകയും അവരെ സകലജാതികളിലേക്കും ബദ്ധരായി കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ജാതികളുടെ കാലം തികയുവോളം ജാതികള് യെരൂശലേം ചവിട്ടിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യും.

25. 'And there shall be signs in sun, and moon, and stars, and on the land [is] distress of nations with perplexity, sea and billow roaring;

26. men fainting at heart from fear, and expectation of the things coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

27. അപ്പോള് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ശക്തിയോടും മഹാതേജസ്സോടും കൂടെ മേഘത്തില് വരുന്നതു അവര് കാണും.

27. 'And then they shall see the Son of Man, coming in a cloud, with power and much glory;

28. ഇതു സംഭവിച്ചുതുടങ്ങുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങളുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു അടുത്തുവരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിവിര്ന്നു തല പൊക്കുവിന് .

28. and these things beginning to happen bend yourselves back, and lift up your heads, because your redemption doth draw nigh.'

29. ഒരുപമയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുഅത്തി മുതലായ സകല വൃക്ഷങ്ങളെയും നോക്കുവിന് .

29. And he spake a simile to them: 'See the fig-tree, and all the trees,

30. അവ തളിര്ക്കുംന്നതു നിങ്ങള് കാണുമ്പോള് വേനല് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സ്വതവെ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

30. when they may now cast forth, having seen, of yourselves ye know that now is the summer nigh;

31. അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ ഇതു സംഭവിക്കുന്നതു കാണുമ്പോള് ദൈവരാജ്യം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പിന് .

31. so also ye, when ye may see these things happening, ye know that near is the reign of God;

32. സകലവും സംഭവിക്കുവോളം ഈ തലമുറ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

32. verily I say to you -- This generation may not pass away till all may have come to pass;

33. ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളോ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയില്ല.

33. the heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words may not pass away.

34. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം അതിഭക്ഷണത്താലും മദ്യപാനത്താലും ഉപജീവനചിന്തകളാലും ഭാരപ്പെട്ടിട്ടു ആ ദിവസം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പെട്ടെന്നു കണിപോലെ വരാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചു കൊള്വിന് .

34. 'And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts may be weighed down with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day may come on you,

35. അതു സര്വ്വഭൂതലത്തിലും വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവര്ക്കും വരും.
യെശയ്യാ 24:17

35. for as a snare it shall come on all those dwelling on the face of all the land,

36. ആകയാല് ഈ സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിന്നും ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുവാനും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ മുമ്പില് നില്പാനും നിങ്ങള് പ്രാപ്തരാകേണ്ടതിന്നു സദാകാലവും ഉണര്ന്നും പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടിരിപ്പിന് .

36. watch ye, then, in every season, praying that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.'

37. അവന് ദിവസേന പകല് ദൈവാലയത്തില് ഉപദേശിച്ചുപോന്നു; രാത്രി ഔലിവ് മലയില് പോയി പാര്ക്കും.

37. And he was during the days in the temple teaching, and during the nights, going forth, he was lodging at the mount called of Olives;

38. ജനം എല്ലാം അവന്റെ വചനം കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതികാലത്തു ദൈവലായത്തില് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലും.

38. and all the people were coming early unto him in the temple to hear him.
