1. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു, ആട്ടിന് തൊഴിത്തില് വാതിലൂടെ കടക്കാതെ വേറെ വഴിയായി കയറുന്നവന് കള്ളനും കവര്ച്ചക്കാരനും ആകുന്നു.

1. Verely verely I saye vnto you: He yt entreth not in at the dore in to the shepefolde, but clymmeth vp some other waye, the same is a thefe & a murthurer.

2. വാതിലൂടെ കടക്കുന്നവനോ ആടുകളുടെ ഇടയന് ആകുന്നു.

2. But he that goeth in at the dore, is the shepherde of the shepe:

3. അവന്നു വാതില് കാവല്ക്കാരന് തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കുന്നു; ആടുകള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ ആടുകളെ അവന് പേര് ചൊല്ലി വിളിച്ചു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.

3. to him ye porter openeth, and the shepe heare his voyce, and he calleth his awne shepe by name, and ledeth them out.

4. തനിക്കുള്ളവയെ ഒക്കെയും പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോയശേഷം അവന് അവേക്കു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുന്നു; ആടുകള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നു.

4. And whan he hath sent forth his awne shepe, he goeth before them, and the shepe folowe him: for they knowe his voyce.

5. അന്യന്മാരുടെ ശബ്ദം അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവ അന്യനെ അനുഗമിക്കാതെ വിട്ടു ഔടിപ്പോകും.

5. As for a straunger, they folowe him not, but flye from him: for they knowe not the voyce of straungers.

6. ഈ സാദൃശ്യം യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാല് തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു അവര് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല.

6. This prouerbe spake Iesus vnto them, but they vnderstode not what it was, that he sayde vnto them.

7. യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുആടുകളുടെ വാതില് ഞാന് ആകുന്നു.

7. Then sayde Iesus vnto them agayne: Verely verely I saye vnto you: I am the dore of the shepe.

8. എനിക്കു മുമ്പെ വന്നവര് ഒക്കെയും കള്ളന്മാരും കവര്ച്ചക്കാരും അത്രേ; ആടുകളോ അവരുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടില്ല.

8. All they that are come before me, are theues and murthures. But ye shepe harkened not vnto them.

9. ഞാന് വാതില് ആകുന്നു; എന്നിലൂടെ കടക്കുന്നവന് രക്ഷപ്പെടും; അവന് അകത്തു വരികയും പുറത്തുപോകയും മേച്ചല് കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

9. I am the dore. Yf eny man entre in by me, he shalbe saued, and shal go in and out, and fynde pasture,

10. മോഷ്ടിപ്പാനും അറുപ്പാനും മുടിപ്പാനും അല്ലാതെ കള്ളന് വരുന്നില്ല; അവര്ക്കും ജീവന് ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും സമൃദ്ധിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും അത്രേ ഞാന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

10. A thefe cometh not, but for to steale, kyll, and destroye. I am come, yt they might haue life, and haue it more abundauntly.

11. ഞാന് നല്ല ഇടയന് ആകുന്നു; നല്ല ഇടയന് ആടുകള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്റെ ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

11. I am a good shepherde. A good shepherde geueth his life for the shepe.

12. ഇടയനും ആടുകളുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥനുമല്ലാത്ത കൂലിക്കാരന് ചെന്നായ് വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു ആടുകളെ വിട്ടു ഔടിക്കളയുന്നു; ചെന്നായ് അവയെ പിടിക്കയും ചിന്നിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

12. But an hyred seruaunt, which is not the shepherde, nether the shepe are his awne, seyth ye wolfe comynge, and leaueth ye shepe, and flyeth. And the wolfe catcheth & scatereth ye shepe.

13. അവന് കൂലിക്കാരനും ആടുകളെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരമില്ലാത്തവനുമല്ലോ.

13. But the hyred seruaut flyeth, because he is an hyred seruaunte, and careth not for the shepe.

14. ഞാന് നല്ല ഇടയന് ; പിതാവു എന്നെ അറികയും ഞാന് പിതാവിനെ അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാന് എനിക്കുള്ളവയെ അറികയും എനിക്കുള്ളവ എന്നെ അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

14. I am a good sheperde, and knowe myne, and am knowne of myne.

15. ആടുകള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഞാന് എന്റെ ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

15. Eue as my father knoweth me, and I knowe ye father. And I geue my life for my shepe.

16. ഈ തൊഴുത്തില് ഉള്പ്പെടാത്ത വേറെ ആടുകള് എനിക്കു ഉണ്ടു; അവയെയും ഞാന് നടത്തേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കും; ഒരാട്ടിന് കൂട്ടവും ഒരിടയനും ആകും.

16. And I haue yet other shepe, which are not of this folde, and those same must I brynge also, and they shal heare my voyce, and there shalbe one flocke and one shepherde.

17. എന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടും പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അതിനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു പിതാവു എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

17. Therfore doth my father loue me, because I leaue my life, that I maye take it agayue.

18. ആരും അതിനെ എന്നോടു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നില്ല; ഞാന് തന്നേ അതിനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അതിനെ കൊടുപ്പാന് എനിക്കു അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു; വീണ്ടും പ്രാപിപ്പാനും അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു; ഈ കല്പന എന്റെ പിതാവിങ്കല് നിന്നു എനിക്കു ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. Noma taketh it fro me, but I leaue it of myself. I haue power to leaue it, and haue power to take it agayne. This commaundement haue I receaued of my father.

19. ഈ വചനം നിമിത്തം യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് പിന്നെയും ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.

19. Then was there discension amoge the Iewes for these sayenges.

20. അവരില് പലരും; അവന്നു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു; അവന് ഭ്രാന്തന് ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. Many of the sayde: He hath the deuell, and is madd, why heare ye him?

21. മറ്റു ചിലര്ഇതു ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തന്റെ വാക്കല്ല; ഭൂതത്തിന്നു കുരുടന്മാരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറപ്പാന് കഴിയുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. Other sayde: These are not wordes of one that is possessed. Can the deuell also open ye eyes of the blynde?

22. അനന്തരം യെരൂശലേമില് പ്രതിഷ്ഠോത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു; അന്നു ശീതകാലമായിരുന്നു.

22. It was the dedicacion of the teple at Ierusale, & was wynter,

23. യേശു ദൈവലായത്തില് ശലോമോന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തില് നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

23. and Iesus walked in Salomos porche.

24. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനെ വളഞ്ഞുനീ എത്രത്തോളം ഞങ്ങളെ ആശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു? നീ ക്രിസ്തു എങ്കില് സ്പഷ്ടമായി പറക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. The came ye Iewes rounde aboute hi, & saide vnto hi: How loge dost thou make vs doute? Yf thou be Christ, tell vs planely.

25. യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഞാന് ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികള് എനിക്കു സാക്ഷ്യം ആകുന്നു.

25. Iesus answered the: I tolde you, & ye beleue not. The workes yt I do in my fathers name, they beare wytnesse of me.

26. നിങ്ങളോ എന്റെ ആടുകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവരല്ലായ്കയാല് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്റെ ആടുകള് എന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നു;

26. But ye beleue not, because ye are not of my shepe as I sayde vnto you.

27. ഞാന് അവയെ അറികയും അവ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

27. My shepe heare my voyce, & I knowe the, & they folowe me.

28. ഞാന് അവേക്കു നിത്യജീവന് കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവ ഒരുനാളും നശിച്ചു പോകയില്ല; ആരും അവയെ എന്റെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കയും ഇല്ല.

28. And I geue the euerlastinge life, & they shal neuer perishe, and noma shal plucke the out of my hande.

29. അവയെ തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പിതാവു എല്ലാവരിലും വലിയവന് ; പിതാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുപറിപ്പാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴികയില്ല

29. My father which gaue the me, is greater the all: & noman is able to plucke them out of my fathers hande.

30. ഞാനും പിതാവും ഒന്നാകുന്നു.”

30. I and the father are one.

31. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനെ എറിവാന് പിന്നെയും കല്ലു എടുത്തു.

31. Then the Iewes toke vp stones agayne, to stone him.

32. യേശു അവരോടു“പിതാവിന്റെ കല്പനയാല് ഞാന് പല നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തികള് നിങ്ങളെ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവയില് ഏതു പ്രവൃത്തിനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കല്ലെറിയുന്നു?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

32. Iesus answered the: Many good workes haue I shewed you fro my father, for which of the stone ye me?

33. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനോടുനല്ല പ്രവൃത്തി നിമിത്തമല്ല, ദൈവദൂഷണം നിമിത്തവും നീ മനുഷ്യനായിരിക്കെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ ദൈവം ആക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടുമത്രേ ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നെ കല്ലെറിയുന്നതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

33. The Iewes answered hi, and sayde: For the good worke sake we stone the not, but for the blasphemy: and because yt thou beynge a man, makest thyself God.

34. യേശു അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് ദേവന്മാര് ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

34. Iesus answered the: Is it not wrytten in youre lawe: I haue sayde, Ye are Goddes?

35. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുള്ളവരെ ദേവന്മാര് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എങ്കില്-തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു നീക്കം വന്നുകൂടായല്ലോ-

35. Yf he call them Goddes, vnto whom the worde of God came (& the scripture can not be broke)

36. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടുനീ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്നു എന്നു പിതാവു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു ലോകത്തില് അയച്ചവനോടു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നുവോ?

36. saye ye the vnto hi, who ye father hath sanctified & sent in to ye worlde: thou blasphemest God, because I sayde: I am ye sonne of God?

37. ഞാന് എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടാ;

37. Yf I do not ye workes of my father, beleue me not:

38. ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിലോ എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരുന്നാലും പിതാവു എന്നിലും ഞാന് പിതാവിലും എന്നു നിങ്ങള് ഗ്രഹിച്ചു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രവൃത്തിയെ വിശ്വസിപ്പിന് .

38. but yf I do the, the (yf ye beleue not me) yet beleue ye workes, yt ye maye knowe & beleue, yt the father is in me, & I in ye father.

39. അവര് അവനെ പിന്നെയും പിടിപ്പാന് നോക്കി; അവനോ അവരുടെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി.

39. They wente aboute agayne to take him, but he escaped out of their hades,

40. അവന് യോര്ദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ യോഹന്നാന് ആദിയില് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു പിന്നെയും ചെന്നു അവിടെ പാര്ത്തു.

40. and wete awaye agayne beyode Iordane, into ye place where Iho had baptysed before, & there he abode.

41. പലരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുയോഹന്നാന് അടയാളം ഒന്നും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; എന്നാല് ഇവനെക്കുറിച്ചു യോഹന്നാന് പറഞ്ഞതു ഒക്കെയും സത്യമായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവിടെ പലരും അവനില് വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

41. And many came to hi, and sayde: Iho dyd no tokes, but all yt Ihon spake of this man, is true.
