1. ഏതു മനുഷ്യനും ശ്രേഷ്ഠാധികാരങ്ങള്ക്കു കീഴടങ്ങട്ടെ. ദൈവത്താലല്ലാതെ ഒരധികാരവുമില്ലല്ലോ; ഉള്ള അധികാരങ്ങളോ ദൈവത്താല് നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങൾ 8:15

1. Let euery soule be subiect vnto the hyer powers: For there is no power but of god. The powers that be, are ordeyned of God.

2. ആകയാല് അധികാരത്തോടു മറുക്കുന്നവന് ദൈവ വ്യവസ്ഥയോടു മറുക്കുന്നു. മറുക്കുന്നവരോ ശിക്ഷാവിധി പ്രാപിക്കും.

2. Whosoeuer therfore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinaunce of God: And they that resist, shall receaue to the selues dampnation.

3. വാഴുന്നവര് സല്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കല്ല ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കത്രേ ഭയങ്കരം. അധികാരസ്ഥനെ ഭയപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നുവോ? നന്മചെയ്ക; എന്നാല് അവനോടു പുകഴ്ച ലഭിക്കും.

3. For rulers are not fearefull to good workes, but to the euyll. Wylt thou not feare the power? Do well, and thou shalt haue prayse of the same.

4. നിന്റെ നന്മെക്കായിട്ടല്ലോ അവന് ദൈവശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനായിരിക്കുന്നതു; നീ തിന്മ ചെയ്താലോ ഭയപ്പെടുക; വെറുതെ അല്ല അവന് വാള് വഹിക്കുന്നതു; അവന് ദോഷം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവന്റെ ശിക്ഷെക്കായി പ്രതികാരിയായ ദൈവശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരന് തന്നേ.

4. For he is the minister of God for thy wealth. But yf thou do euyll, feare: For he beareth not the sworde in vayne, for he is the minister of God, reuenger of wrath on hym that doth euyll.

5. അതുകൊണ്ടു ശിക്ഷയെ മാത്രമല്ല മനസ്സാക്ഷിയെയും വിചാരിച്ചു കീഴടങ്ങുക ആവശ്യം.

5. Wherfore, ye must needes be subiect, not only for feare of punishment: but also because of conscience.

6. അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് നികുതിയും കൊടുക്കുന്നു. അവര് ദൈവശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരും ആ കാര്യം തന്നേ നോക്കുന്നവരുമാകുന്നു.

6. And for this cause pay ye tribute. For they are Gods ministers, seruyng for the same purpose.

7. എല്ലാവര്ക്കും കടമായുള്ളതു കൊടുപ്പിന് ; നികുതി കൊടുക്കേണ്ടവന്നു നികുതി; ചുങ്കം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടവന്നു ചുങ്കം; ഭയം കാണിക്കേണ്ടവന്നു ഭയം; മാനം കാണിക്കേണ്ടവന്നു മാനം.

7. Geue to euery man therfore his dutie, tribute to whom tribute, custome to whom custome, feare to whom feare, honour to whom honour [belongeth.]

8. അന്യോന്യം സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതു അല്ലാതെ ആരോടും ഒന്നും കടമ്പെട്ടിരിക്കരുതു; അന്യനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവന് ന്യായപ്രമാണം നിവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

8. Owe nothyng to no man, but to loue one another: (For he that loueth another, hath fulfylled the lawe.

9. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു, കുല ചെയ്യരുതു, മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു, മോഹിക്കരുതു, എന്നുള്ളതും മറ്റു ഏതു കല്പനയും കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ സ്നേഹിക്ക എന്നീ വചനത്തില് സംക്ഷേപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. For this: Thou shalt not commit adultrie, thou shalt not kyll, thou shalt not steale, thou shalt not beare false witnesse, thou shalt not lust: and yf there be any other commaundement, it is comprehended in this saying: Namelye, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe.

10. സ്നേഹം കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു ദോഷം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നില്ല; ആകയാല് സ്നേഹം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ നിവൃത്തി തന്നേ.

10. Charitie worketh no yll to his neyghbour, therfore the fulfyllyng of the lawe is charitie.)

11. ഇതു ചെയ്യേണ്ടതു ഉറക്കത്തില്നിന്നു ഉണരുവാന് നാഴിക വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് സമയത്തെ അറികയാല് തന്നേ; നാം വിശ്വസിച്ച സമയത്തെക്കാള് രക്ഷ ഇപ്പോള് നമുക്കു അധികം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. And chiefely consideryng the season, howe that it is tyme that we shoulde nowe awake out of slepe: For nowe is our saluation nearer, then when we beleued.

12. രാത്രി കഴിവാറായി പകല് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു അതുകൊണ്ടു നാം ഇരുട്ടിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ വെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ ആയുധവര്ഗ്ഗം ധരിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

12. The nyght is passed, the day is come nye. Let vs therfore caste away the deedes of darknesse, & let vs put on the armour of lyght.

13. പകല്സമയത്തു എന്നപോലെ നാം മര്യാദയായി നടക്ക; വെറിക്കൂത്തുകളിലും മദ്യപാനങ്ങളിലുമല്ല, ശയനമോഹങ്ങളിലും ദുഷ്കാമങ്ങളിലുമല്ല, പിണക്കത്തിലും അസൂയയിലുമല്ല.

13. Let vs walke honestly as in the day, not in riotyng & dronkennesse, neither in chaumberyng & wantonnesse, neither in strife and enuying.

14. കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെത്തന്നേ ധരിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് . മോഹങ്ങള് ജനിക്കുമാറു ജഡത്തിന്നായി ചിന്തിക്കരുതു.

14. But put ye on ye Lorde Iesus Christe. And make not prouision for the fleshe, to the lustes [therof.]
