1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, മക്കെദോന്യസഭകള്ക്കു ലഭിച്ച ദൈവകൃപ ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

1. Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God which hath been given in the churches of Macedonia;

2. കഷ്ടത എന്ന കഠിന ശോധനയില് ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും അവരുടെ സന്തോഷസമൃദ്ധിയും മഹാദാരിദ്ര്യവും ധാരാളം ഔദാര്യ്യം കാണിപ്പാന് കാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

2. how that in much proof of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

3. വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഹായത്തിന്നുള്ള ധര്മ്മവും കൂട്ടായ്മയും സംബന്ധിച്ചു അവര് വളരെ താല്പര്യ്യത്തോടെ ഞങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു

3. For according to their power, I bear witness, yea and beyond their power, {cf15i they gave} of their own accord,

4. പ്രാപ്തി പോലെയും പ്രാപ്തിക്കു മീതെയും സ്വമേധയായി കൊടുത്തു എന്നതിന്നു ഞാന് സാക്ഷി.

4. beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the saints:

5. അതും ഞങ്ങള് വിചാരിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെയല്ല; അവര് മുമ്പെ തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ കര്ത്താവിന്നും പിന്നെ ദൈവേഷ്ടത്തിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും ഏല്പിച്ചു.

5. and {cf15i this}, not as we had hoped, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God.

6. അങ്ങനെ തീതൊസ് ആരംഭിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഈ ധര്മ്മശേഖരം നിവര്ത്തിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

6. Insomuch that we exhorted Titus, that as he had made a beginning before, so he would also complete in you this grace also.

7. എന്നാല് വിശ്വാസം, വചനം, പരിജ്ഞാനം, പൂര്ണ്ണജാഗ്രത, ഞങ്ങളോടുള്ള സ്നേഹം ഇങ്ങനെ എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിങ്ങള് മുന്തിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഈ ധര്മ്മകാര്യത്തിലും മുന്തിവരുവിന് .

7. But as ye abound in everything, {cf15i in} faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and {cf15i in} all earnestness, and {cf15i in} your love to us, {cf15i see} that ye abound in this grace also.

8. ഞാന് കല്പനയായിട്ടല്ല, മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ ജാഗ്രതകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ പരമാര്ത്ഥതയും ശോധന ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ പറയുന്നതു.

8. I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love.

9. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തു സമ്പന്നന് ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും അവന്റെ ദാരിദ്ര്യത്താല് നിങ്ങള് സമ്പന്നര് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ദരിദ്രനായിത്തീര്ന്ന കൃപ നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

9. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might become rich.

10. ഞാന് ഇതില് എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം പറഞ്ഞുതരുന്നു; ചെയ്വാന് മാത്രമല്ല, താല്പര്യ്യപ്പെടുവാനുംകൂടെ ഒരു ആണ്ടു മുമ്പെ ആദ്യമായി ആരംഭിച്ച നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇതു യോഗ്യം.

10. And herein I give {cf15i my} judgment: for this is expedient for you, who were the first to make a beginning a year ago, not only to do, but also to will.

11. എന്നാല് താല്പര്യ്യപ്പെടുവാന് മനസ്സൊരുക്കം ഉണ്ടായതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാപ്തിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം നിവൃത്തി ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇപ്പോള് പ്രവൃത്തിയും അനുഷ്ഠിപ്പിന് .

11. But now complete the doing also; that as {cf15i there was} the readiness to will, so {cf15i there may be} the completion also out of your ability.

12. ഒരുത്തന്നു മനസ്സൊരുക്കം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് പ്രാപ്തിയില്ലാത്തതുപോലെയല്ല പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ളതു പോലെ കൊടുത്താല് അവന്നു ദൈവപ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കും.
സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങൾ 3:27-28

12. For if the readiness is there, {cf15i it is} acceptable according as {cf15i a man} hath, not according as {cf15i he} hath not.

13. മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്കും സുഭിക്ഷവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദുര്ഭിക്ഷവും വരേണം എന്നല്ല സമത്വം വേണം എന്നത്രേ.

13. For {cf15i I say} not {cf15i this}, that others may be eased, {cf15i and} ye distressed:

14. സമത്വം ഉണ്ടാവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവരുടെ സുഭിക്ഷം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്ഭിക്ഷത്തിന്നു ഉതകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇക്കാലം നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള സുഭിക്ഷം അവരുടെ ദുര്ഭിക്ഷത്തിന്നു ഉതകട്ടെ.

14. but by equality; your abundance {cf15i being a supply} at this present time for their want, that their abundance also may become {cf15i a supply} for your want; that there may be equality:

15. “ഏറെ പെറുക്കിയവന്നു ഏറെയും കുറെ പെറുക്കിയവന്നു കുറവും കണ്ടില്ല” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ.
പുറപ്പാടു് 16:18

15. as it is written, He that {cf15i gathered} much had nothing over; and he that {cf15i gathered} little had no lack.

16. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി തീതൊസിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും ഈ ജാഗ്രത നല്കിയ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം.

16. But thanks be to God, which putteth the same earnest care for you into the heart of Titus.

17. അവന് അപേക്ഷ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു എന്നു മാത്രമല്ല, അത്യുത്സാഹിയാകയാല് സ്വമേധയായി നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

17. For indeed he accepted our exhortation; but being himself very earnest, he went forth unto you of his own accord.

18. ഞങ്ങള് അവനോടുകൂടെ ഒരു സഹോദരനെയും അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സുവിശേഷസംബന്ധമായുള്ള അവന്റെ പുകഴ്ച സകലസഭകളിലും പരന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. And we have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the gospel {cf15i is spread} through all the churches;

19. അത്രയുമല്ല, കര്ത്താവിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നായും നമ്മുടെ മനസ്സൊരുക്കം കാണിപ്പാനായും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷയാല് നടക്കുന്ന ഈ ധര്മ്മകാര്യ്യത്തില് അവന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു കൂട്ടുയാത്രക്കാരനായി സഭകളാല് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവനും ആകുന്നു.

19. and not only so, but who was also appointed by the churches to travel with us in {cf15i the matter of} this grace, which is ministered by us to the glory of the Lord, and {cf15i to shew} our readiness:

20. ഞങ്ങള് നടത്തിവരുന്ന ഈ ധര്മ്മശേഖരകാര്യ്യത്തില് ആരും ഞങ്ങളെ അപവാദം പറയാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ മാത്രമല്ല മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പാകെയും യോഗ്യമായതു മുന് കരുതുന്നു.

20. Avoiding this, that any man should blame us in {cf15i the matter of} this bounty which is ministered by us:

21. ഞങ്ങള് പലതിലും പലപ്പോഴും ശോധനചെയ്തു ഉത്സാഹിയായി കണ്ടും ഇപ്പോഴോ തനിക്കു നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ധൈര്യ്യം പെരുകുകയാല് അത്യുത്സാഹിയായുമിരിക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരനെയും അവരോടുകൂടെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. for we take thought for things honourable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

22. തീതൊസ് എനിക്കു കൂട്ടാളിയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കായിട്ടു കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാരനും ആകുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരന്മാര് സഭകളുടെ ദൂതന്മാരും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു മഹത്വവും തന്നേ.

22. And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have many times proved earnest in many things, but now much more earnest, by reason of the great confidence which {cf15i he hath} in you.

23. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങളെച്ചൊല്ലി ഞങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന പ്രശംസെക്കും ഒത്ത ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം സഭകള് കാണ്കെ അവര്ക്കും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പിന് .

23. Whether {cf15i any inquire} about Titus, {cf15i he is} my partner and {cf15i my} fellowworker to youward; or our brethren, {cf15i they are} the messengers of the churches, {cf15i they are} the glory of Christ.
