1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, മക്കെദോന്യസഭകള്ക്കു ലഭിച്ച ദൈവകൃപ ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

1. Moreover we make known unto you, brethren, the favour of God which hath been given in the assemblies of Macedonia,

2. കഷ്ടത എന്ന കഠിന ശോധനയില് ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും അവരുടെ സന്തോഷസമൃദ്ധിയും മഹാദാരിദ്ര്യവും ധാരാളം ഔദാര്യ്യം കാണിപ്പാന് കാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

2. That, in a great testing of tribulation, the superabounding of their joy and their deep destitution, superabounded unto the riches of their liberality;

3. വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഹായത്തിന്നുള്ള ധര്മ്മവും കൂട്ടായ്മയും സംബന്ധിച്ചു അവര് വളരെ താല്പര്യ്യത്തോടെ ഞങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു

3. That, according to power, I bear witness, and beyond power, of their own accord, they acted ,

4. പ്രാപ്തി പോലെയും പ്രാപ്തിക്കു മീതെയും സ്വമേധയായി കൊടുത്തു എന്നതിന്നു ഞാന് സാക്ഷി.

4. With much exhortation, entreating of us the favour and the fellowship of the ministry which was for the saints;

5. അതും ഞങ്ങള് വിചാരിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെയല്ല; അവര് മുമ്പെ തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ കര്ത്താവിന്നും പിന്നെ ദൈവേഷ്ടത്തിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും ഏല്പിച്ചു.

5. And, not merely as we hoped, but, themselves, gave they, first, unto the Lord and unto us through God's will,

6. അങ്ങനെ തീതൊസ് ആരംഭിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഈ ധര്മ്മശേഖരം നിവര്ത്തിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

6. To the end we should exhort Titus, in order that, according as he before made a beginning, so, he should also complete unto you this favour also.

7. എന്നാല് വിശ്വാസം, വചനം, പരിജ്ഞാനം, പൂര്ണ്ണജാഗ്രത, ഞങ്ങളോടുള്ള സ്നേഹം ഇങ്ങനെ എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിങ്ങള് മുന്തിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഈ ധര്മ്മകാര്യത്തിലും മുന്തിവരുവിന് .

7. But, just as, in everything, ye superabound, in faith, and discourse, and knowledge, and all earnestness, and in the love among you which proceedeth from us, in order that, in this favour also, ye would superabound.

8. ഞാന് കല്പനയായിട്ടല്ല, മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ ജാഗ്രതകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ പരമാര്ത്ഥതയും ശോധന ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ പറയുന്നതു.

8. Not by way of injunction, do I speak, but through, others', earnestness, and, the genuineness of your own love, putting to the test.

9. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തു സമ്പന്നന് ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും അവന്റെ ദാരിദ്ര്യത്താല് നിങ്ങള് സമ്പന്നര് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ദരിദ്രനായിത്തീര്ന്ന കൃപ നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

9. For ye are taking knowledge of the favour of our Lord Jesus Christ , how that, for your sakes, he became destitute although he was, rich, in order that, ye, by his destitution, might be enriched.

10. ഞാന് ഇതില് എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം പറഞ്ഞുതരുന്നു; ചെയ്വാന് മാത്രമല്ല, താല്പര്യ്യപ്പെടുവാനുംകൂടെ ഒരു ആണ്ടു മുമ്പെ ആദ്യമായി ആരംഭിച്ച നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇതു യോഗ്യം.

10. And, a judgment, herein, do I give, for, this, unto you, is profitable, who, indeed, not only of the doing, but of the desiring, made for yourselves a beginning a year ago;

11. എന്നാല് താല്പര്യ്യപ്പെടുവാന് മനസ്സൊരുക്കം ഉണ്ടായതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാപ്തിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം നിവൃത്തി ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇപ്പോള് പ്രവൃത്തിയും അനുഷ്ഠിപ്പിന് .

11. Howbeit, now, the doing also, complete ye, in order that, even according to the forwardness of the desiring, so, may be the completing out of what ye have.

12. ഒരുത്തന്നു മനസ്സൊരുക്കം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് പ്രാപ്തിയില്ലാത്തതുപോലെയല്ല പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ളതു പോലെ കൊടുത്താല് അവന്നു ദൈവപ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കും.

12. For, if the forwardness is set forth, according to what one may have, he is well approved, not according to what one hath not.

13. മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്കും സുഭിക്ഷവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദുര്ഭിക്ഷവും വരേണം എന്നല്ല സമത്വം വേണം എന്നത്രേ.

13. For, not that unto others should be relief, and unto you distress do I speak , but, by equality, in the present season, your surplus for their deficiency,

14. സമത്വം ഉണ്ടാവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവരുടെ സുഭിക്ഷം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്ഭിക്ഷത്തിന്നു ഉതകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇക്കാലം നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള സുഭിക്ഷം അവരുടെ ദുര്ഭിക്ഷത്തിന്നു ഉതകട്ടെ.

14. In order that their surplus may come to be for your deficiency: that there may come about an equality:

15. “ഏറെ പെറുക്കിയവന്നു ഏറെയും കുറെ പെറുക്കിയവന്നു കുറവും കണ്ടില്ല” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

15. Even as it is written He that gathered the much, had not more than enough, and, he that gathered the little, had not less,

16. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി തീതൊസിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും ഈ ജാഗ്രത നല്കിയ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം.

16. Thanks, however, unto God! who is putting the same earnestness in your behalf in the heart of Titus,

17. അവന് അപേക്ഷ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു എന്നു മാത്രമല്ല, അത്യുത്സാഹിയാകയാല് സ്വമേധയായി നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

17. In that, though, indeed, the exhortation, he welcomed; yet already being, greatly in earnest, of his own accord, hath he gone forth unto you.

18. ഞങ്ങള് അവനോടുകൂടെ ഒരു സഹോദരനെയും അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സുവിശേഷസംബന്ധമായുള്ള അവന്റെ പുകഴ്ച സകലസഭകളിലും പരന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. Howbeit, we also set forward, with him, the brother, whose praise in the Glad Tidings, hath gone through all the assemblies:

19. അത്രയുമല്ല, കര്ത്താവിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നായും നമ്മുടെ മനസ്സൊരുക്കം കാണിപ്പാനായും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷയാല് നടക്കുന്ന ഈ ധര്മ്മകാര്യ്യത്തില് അവന് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു കൂട്ടുയാത്രക്കാരനായി സഭകളാല് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവനും ആകുന്നു.

19. Not only so, however, but he hath also been appointed by the assemblies, as a fellow-traveler with us in this favour, which is being ministered by us with a view to the Lord's glory and our earnest desire:

20. ഞങ്ങള് നടത്തിവരുന്ന ഈ ധര്മ്മശേഖരകാര്യ്യത്തില് ആരും ഞങ്ങളെ അപവാദം പറയാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ മാത്രമല്ല മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പാകെയും യോഗ്യമായതു മുന് കരുതുന്നു.

20. Arranging this lest anyone, upon us, should cast blame, in this munificence which is being ministered by us;

21. ഞങ്ങള് പലതിലും പലപ്പോഴും ശോധനചെയ്തു ഉത്സാഹിയായി കണ്ടും ഇപ്പോഴോ തനിക്കു നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ധൈര്യ്യം പെരുകുകയാല് അത്യുത്സാഹിയായുമിരിക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരനെയും അവരോടുകൂടെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. For we provide things honourable, not only before the Lord, but also before men.

22. തീതൊസ് എനിക്കു കൂട്ടാളിയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കായിട്ടു കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാരനും ആകുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരന്മാര് സഭകളുടെ ദൂതന്മാരും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു മഹത്വവും തന്നേ.

22. Moreover we have set forward, with them, our brother whom we have proved, in many things, ofttimes, earnest, but, now, much more earnest, by reason of the great confidence which he hath towards you.

23. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങളെച്ചൊല്ലി ഞങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന പ്രശംസെക്കും ഒത്ത ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം സഭകള് കാണ്കെ അവര്ക്കും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പിന് .

23. Whether as regardeth Titus, he is a partner of mine, and, towards you, a fellow-worker. or our brethren, apostles of assemblies, and Christ's glory.
