1. മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും തമ്മില് വ്യവഹാരം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു അവര് ന്യായാസനത്തിങ്കല് വരികയും അവരുടെ കാര്യം വിസ്തരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് നീതിമാനെ നീതീകരിക്കയും കുറ്റക്കാരനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കയുംവേണം.

1. When there is strife betwene men, let the come vnto the lawe, and let the iudges iustifie the rightuous and condemne the trespeaser.

2. കുറ്റക്കാരന് അടിക്കു യോഗ്യനാകുന്നു എങ്കില് ന്യായാധിപന് അവനെ നിലത്തു കിടത്തി അവന്റെ കുറ്റത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം എണ്ണി അടിപ്പിക്കേണം.

2. And yf the trespeaser be worthy of strypes, then let the iudge cause to take him doune and to bete him before his face accordynge to his trespace, vnto a certayne numbre

3. നാല്പതു അടി അടിപ്പിക്കാം; അതില് കവിയരുതു; കവിഞ്ഞു അടിപ്പിച്ചാല് സഹോദരന് നിന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു നിന്ദിതനായ്തീര്ന്നേക്കാം.

3. .xl. stirpes he shall geue him and not passe: lest yf he shulde exceade and beate him aboue that with many stripes, thi brother shuld appere vngodly before thyne eyes.

4. കാള മെതിക്കുമ്പോള് അതിന്നു മുഖക്കൊട്ട കെട്ടരുതു.

4. Thou shalt not mosell the oxe that treadeth out the corne.

5. സഹോദരന്മാര് ഒന്നിച്ചു പാര്ക്കുംമ്പോള് അവരില് ഒരുത്തന് മകനില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയാല് മരിച്ചവന്റെ ഭാര്യ പുറത്തുള്ള ഒരുത്തന്നു ആകരുതു; ഭര്ത്താവിന്റെ സഹോദരന് അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവളെ ഭാര്യയായി പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളോടു ദേവരധര്മ്മം നിവര്ത്തിക്കേണം.

5. When brethern dwell together and one of them dye ad haue no childe, the wyfe of the deed shall not be geuen out vnto a straunger: but hir brotherlawe shall goo in vnto her and take her to wife and marie her.

6. മരിച്ചുപോയ സഹോദരന്റെ പേര് യിസ്രായേലില് മാഞ്ഞു പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവള് പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന ആദ്യജാതനെ അവന്റെ പേര്ക്കും കണകൂ കൂട്ടേണം.

6. And the eldest sonne which she beareth, shall stonde vp in the name of his brother which is deed, that his name be not put out in Israel.

7. സഹോദരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കില് അവള് പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുഎന്റെ ദേവരന്നു തന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ പേര് യിസ്രായേലില് നിലനിര്ത്തുവാന് ഇഷ്ടമില്ല; എന്നോടു ദേവര ധര്മ്മം നിവര്ത്തിപ്പാന് അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ല എന്നു പറയേണം.

7. But and yf the man will not take his systerlawe, then let her goo to the gate vnto the elders and saye: My brotherlawe refuseth to sterre vpp vnto his brother a name in Israel, he will not marie me.

8. അപ്പോള് അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാര് അവനെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു അവനോടു സംസാരിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് ഇവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു മനസ്സില്ല എന്നു അവന് ഖണ്ഡിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞാല്

8. Then let the elders of his citie call vnto him and comen with him. Yf he stonde and saye: I will not take her,

9. അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ ഭാര്യ മൂപ്പന്മാര് കാണ്കെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവന്റെ കാലില്നിന്നു ചെരിപ്പു അഴിച്ചു അവന്റെ മുഖത്തു തുപ്പിസഹോദരന്റെ വീടു പണിയാത്ത പുരുഷനോടു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുമെന്നു പ്രത്യുത്തരം പറയേണം.

9. then let his systerlawe goo vnto him in the presence of the elders and loose his showe of his fote and spytt in his face and answere and saye. So shall it be done vnto that man that will not bylde his brothers housse.

10. ചെരിപ്പഴിഞ്ഞവന്റെ കുടുംബം എന്നു യിസ്രായേലില് അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്നു പേര് പറയും.

10. And his name shalbe called in Israel, the vnshoed housse.

11. പുരുഷന്മാര് തമ്മില് അടിപിടിക്കുടുമ്പോള് ഒരുത്തന്റെ ഭാര്യ ഭര്ത്താവിനെ അടിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വിടുവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടുത്തുചെന്നു കൈ നീട്ടി അവന്റെ ഗുപ്താംഗം പിടിച്ചാല്

11. Yf when men stryue together, one with another, the wife of the one rune to, for to ryd hyr husbonde out of the handes of him that smyteth him and put forth hir hande and take him by the secrettes:

12. അവളുടെ കൈ വെട്ടിക്കളയേണം; അവളോടു കനിവു തോന്നരുതു.

12. cutt of hir hande, and let not thine eye pitie her.

13. നിന്റെ സഞ്ചിയില് തൂക്കം ഏറിയതും കുറഞ്ഞതുമായ രണ്ടുതരം പടി ഉണ്ടാകരുതു.

13. Thou shalt not haue in thy bagge two maner weyghtes, a greate and a small:

14. നിന്റെ വീട്ടില് മുറുക്കവും ഇളപ്പവുമായ രണ്ടുതരം പറയും ഉണ്ടാകരുതു.

14. nether shalt thou haue in thine house dyuerse measures, a great ad a small.

15. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ ദീര്ഘായുസ്സോടിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ പടി ഒത്തതും ന്യായമായതുമായിരിക്കേണം; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നിന്റെ പറയും ഒത്തതും ന്യായമായതുമായിരിക്കേണം.

15. But thou shalt haue a perfect ad a iust measure: that thy dayes maye be lengthed in the londe whiche the Lorde thy God geueth the,

16. ഈ വകയില് അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നവനൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

16. For all that do soche thinges ad all that doo vnright, are abhominacion vnto the Lorde thy God.

17. നിങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു വരുമ്പോള് വഴിയില്വെച്ചു അമാലേക് നിന്നോടു ചെയ്തതു,

17. Remembre what Amalech dyd vnto the by the waye after thou camest out of Egipte,

18. അവന് ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടാതെ വഴിയില് നിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു നീ ക്ഷീണിച്ചും തളര്ന്നും ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് നിന്റെ പിമ്പില് പിന്നണിയിലുള്ള ബലഹീനരെ ഒക്കെയും സംഹരിച്ച കാര്യം തന്നേ ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്ക.

18. he mett the by the waye and smote the hynmost of you, all that were ouer laboured and dragged by hynde, when thou wast faynted and werye, and he feared not God.

19. ആകയാല് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി അടക്കുവാന് തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു ചുറ്റുമള്ള നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നീക്കി നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത തന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോള് നീ അമാലേക്കിന്റെ ഔര്മ്മയെ ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴില്നിന്നു മായിച്ചുകളയേണം; ഇതു മറന്നുപോകരുതു.

19. Therfore when the Lorde thy God hath geuen the rest from all thyne enemyes rounde aboute, in the londe whiche the Lorde thy God geueth the to enheret and possesse: se that thou put out the name of Amalech from vnder heauen, ad forget not.
