1. മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും തമ്മില് വ്യവഹാരം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു അവര് ന്യായാസനത്തിങ്കല് വരികയും അവരുടെ കാര്യം വിസ്തരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് നീതിമാനെ നീതീകരിക്കയും കുറ്റക്കാരനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കയുംവേണം.

1. If there is an argument between men and they go to law with one another, let the judges give their decision for the upright, and against the wrongdoer.

2. കുറ്റക്കാരന് അടിക്കു യോഗ്യനാകുന്നു എങ്കില് ന്യായാധിപന് അവനെ നിലത്തു കിടത്തി അവന്റെ കുറ്റത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം എണ്ണി അടിപ്പിക്കേണം.

2. And if the wrongdoer is to undergo punishment by whipping, the judge will give orders for him to go down on his face and be whipped before him, the number of the blows being in relation to his crime.

8. Then the responsible men of the town will send for the man, and have talk with him: and if he still says, I will not take her;

10. ചെരിപ്പഴിഞ്ഞവന്റെ കുടുംബം എന്നു യിസ്രായേലില് അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്നു പേര് പറയും.

10. And his family will be named in Israel, The house of him whose shoe has been taken off.

11. പുരുഷന്മാര് തമ്മില് അടിപിടിക്കുടുമ്പോള് ഒരുത്തന്റെ ഭാര്യ ഭര്ത്താവിനെ അടിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വിടുവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടുത്തുചെന്നു കൈ നീട്ടി അവന്റെ ഗുപ്താംഗം പിടിച്ചാല്

11. If two men are fighting, and the wife of one of them, coming to the help of her husband, takes the other by the private parts;

12. അവളുടെ കൈ വെട്ടിക്കളയേണം; അവളോടു കനിവു തോന്നരുതു.

12. Her hand is to be cut off; have no pity on her.

13. നിന്റെ സഞ്ചിയില് തൂക്കം ഏറിയതും കുറഞ്ഞതുമായ രണ്ടുതരം പടി ഉണ്ടാകരുതു.

13. Do not have in your bag different weights, a great and a small;

14. നിന്റെ വീട്ടില് മുറുക്കവും ഇളപ്പവുമായ രണ്ടുതരം പറയും ഉണ്ടാകരുതു.

14. Or in your house different measures, a great and a small.

15. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ ദീര്ഘായുസ്സോടിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ പടി ഒത്തതും ന്യായമായതുമായിരിക്കേണം; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നിന്റെ പറയും ഒത്തതും ന്യായമായതുമായിരിക്കേണം.

15. But have a true weight and a true measure: so that your life may be long in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

16. ഈ വകയില് അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നവനൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

16. For all who do such things, and all whose ways are not upright, are disgusting to the Lord your God.

17. നിങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു വരുമ്പോള് വഴിയില്വെച്ചു അമാലേക് നിന്നോടു ചെയ്തതു,

17. Keep in mind what Amalek did to you on your way from Egypt;

18. അവന് ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടാതെ വഴിയില് നിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു നീ ക്ഷീണിച്ചും തളര്ന്നും ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് നിന്റെ പിമ്പില് പിന്നണിയിലുള്ള ബലഹീനരെ ഒക്കെയും സംഹരിച്ച കാര്യം തന്നേ ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്ക.

19. ആകയാല് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി അടക്കുവാന് തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു ചുറ്റുമള്ള നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നീക്കി നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത തന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോള് നീ അമാലേക്കിന്റെ ഔര്മ്മയെ ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴില്നിന്നു മായിച്ചുകളയേണം; ഇതു മറന്നുപോകരുതു.

19. So when the Lord your God has given you rest from all who are against you on every side, in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for your heritage, see to it that the memory of Amalek is cut off from the earth; keep this in mind.
