1. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ ചെന്നു അതു കൈവശമാക്കി അവിടെ പാര്ക്കുംമ്പോള്

1. The LORD is giving you the land, and soon you will conquer it, settle down,

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്റെ നിലത്തില്നിന്നു ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതായി നിലത്തിലെ എല്ലാവക കൃഷിയുടെയും ആദ്യഫലം കുറെശ്ശ എടുത്തു ഒരു കൊട്ടയില് വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോകേണം.

2. and plant crops. And when you begin harvesting each of your crops, the very first things you pick must be put in a basket. Take them to the place where the LORD your God chooses to be worshiped,

3. അന്നുള്ള പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് നീ ചെന്നു അവനോടുനമുക്കു തരുമെന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു ഞാന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു ഞാന് ഇന്നു ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം.

3. and tell the priest, 'Long ago the LORD our God promised our ancestors that he would give us this land. And today, I thank him for keeping his promise and giving me a share of the land.'

4. പുരോഹിതന് ആ കൊട്ട നിന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വാങ്ങി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെക്കേണം.

4. The priest will take the basket and set it in front of the LORD's altar.

5. പിന്നെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീ പ്രസ്താവിക്കേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്എന്റെ പിതാവു ദേശാന്തരിയായോരു അരാമ്യനായിരുന്നു; ചുരുക്കംപേരോടു കൂടി അവന് മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു പരദേശിയായി പാര്ത്തു; അവിടെ വലിപ്പവും ബലവും പെരുപ്പവുമുള്ള ജനമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

5. Then, standing there in front of the place of worship, you must pray: My ancestor was homeless, an Aramean who went to live in Egypt. There were only a few in his family then, but they became great and powerful, a nation of many people.

6. എന്നാല് മിസ്രയീമ്യര് ഞങ്ങളോടു തിന്മ ചെയ്തു ഞങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു ഞങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു കഠിനവേല ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

6. The Egyptians were cruel and had no pity on us. They mistreated our people and forced us into slavery.

7. അപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു ഞങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയും പ്രയാസവും ഞെരുക്കവും കണ്ടു.

7. We called out for help to you, the LORD God of our ancestors. You heard our cries; you knew we were in trouble and abused.

8. യഹോവ ബലമുള്ള കയ്യാലും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജത്താലും മഹാഭയങ്കരപ്രവൃത്തിയോടും അടയാളങ്ങളോടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളോടുംകൂടെ ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു

8. Then you terrified the Egyptians with your mighty miracles and rescued us from Egypt.

9. ഞങ്ങളെ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ഈ ദേശം ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. You brought us here and gave us this land rich with milk and honey.

10. ഇതാ, യഹോവേ, നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള നിലത്തിലെ ആദ്യഫലം ഞാന് ഇപ്പോള് കെണ്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. പിന്നെ നീ അതു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് വെച്ചു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നമസ്കരിക്കേണം.

10. Now, LORD, I bring to you the best of the crops that you have given me. After you say these things, place the basket in front of the LORD's altar and bow down to worship him.

11. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കും നിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്നും തന്നിട്ടുള്ള എല്ലാനന്മയിലും നീയും ലേവ്യനും നിങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പരദേശിയും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

11. Then you and your family must celebrate by eating a meal at the place of worship to thank the LORD your God for giving you such a good harvest. And remember to invite the Levites and the foreigners who live in your town.

12. ദശാംശം എടുക്കുന്ന കാലമായ മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തില് നിന്റെ അനുഭവത്തിലൊക്കെയും ദശാംശം എടുത്തു ലേവ്യനും പരദേശിയും അനാഥനും വിധവയും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു തൃപ്തിയാംവണ്ണം തിന്മാന് കൊടുത്തു തീര്ന്നശേഷം

12. Every year you are to give ten percent of your harvest to the LORD. But every third year, this ten percent must be given to the poor who live in your town, including Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows. That way, they will have enough to eat.

13. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീ പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന കല്പനപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധമായതു എന്റെ വീട്ടില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ലേവ്യന്നും പരദേശിക്കും അനാഥന്നും വിധവേക്കും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്റെ കല്പന ലംഘിക്കയോ മറന്നുകളകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

13. Then you must pray: Our LORD and our God, you have said that ten percent of my harvest is sacred. I have obeyed your command and given this to the poor, including the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows.

14. എന്റെ ദുഃഖത്തില് ഞാന് അതില് നിന്നു തിന്നിട്ടില്ല; അശുദ്ധനായിരുന്നപ്പോള് ഞാന് അതില് ഒന്നും നീക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടില്ല; മരിച്ചവന്നു അതില്നിന്നു ഒന്നും കൊടുത്തിട്ടുമില്ല; ഞാന് എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. I have not eaten any of this sacred food while I was in mourning; in fact, I never touched it when I was unclean. And none of it has been offered as a sacrifice to the spirits of the dead. I have done everything exactly as you commanded.

15. നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു നോക്കി നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്ന ദേശമായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തെയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ.

15. Our LORD, look down from your temple in heaven and bless your people Israel. You promised our ancestors that you would give us this land rich with milk and honey, and you have kept your promise.

16. ഈ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ആചരിപ്പാന് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു; നീ അവയെ പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണം.

16. Today the LORD your God has commanded you to obey these laws and teachings with all your heart and soul.

17. യഹോവ നിനക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും നീ അവന്റെ വഴികളില് നടന്നു അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ വചനം അനുസരിക്കേണമെന്നും നീ ഇന്നു അരുളപ്പാടു കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. In response, you have agreed that the LORD will be your God, that you will obey all his laws and teachings, and that you will listen when he speaks to you.

18. യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ അവന്നു സ്വന്തജനമായി അവന്റെ സകലകല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കുമെന്നും

18. Since you have agreed to obey the LORD, he has agreed that you will be his people and that you will belong to him, just as he promised.

19. താന് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സകലജാതികള്ക്കും മീതെ നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ചെക്കും കീര്ത്തിക്കും മാനത്തിന്നുമായി ഉന്നതമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു താന് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധജനമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും ഇന്നു നിന്റെ വാമൊഴി വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. The LORD created all nations, but he will make you more famous than any of them, and you will receive more praise and honor. You will belong only to the LORD your God, just as he promised.
