1. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ ചെന്നു അതു കൈവശമാക്കി അവിടെ പാര്ക്കുംമ്പോള്

1. And it shall be when thou shalt enter into the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance, and shalt possess it and dwell therein,

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്റെ നിലത്തില്നിന്നു ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതായി നിലത്തിലെ എല്ലാവക കൃഷിയുടെയും ആദ്യഫലം കുറെശ്ശ എടുത്തു ഒരു കൊട്ടയില് വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോകേണം.

2. then shalt thou take of the first of all the fruit of the soil which thou shalt bring in from thy land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee and shalt put it in a basket, and go thy way unto the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose, to make a habitation for his name there.

3. അന്നുള്ള പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് നീ ചെന്നു അവനോടുനമുക്കു തരുമെന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു ഞാന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു ഞാന് ഇന്നു ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം.

3. And thou shalt come in unto the priest who shall be in those days, and shalt say unto him I declare to-day unto Yahweh thy God, that I am come into the land which Yahweh sware unto our fathers that he would give unto us.

4. പുരോഹിതന് ആ കൊട്ട നിന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വാങ്ങി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെക്കേണം.

4. Then shall the priest take the basket out of thy hand, and set it down before the altar of Yahweh thy God.

5. പിന്നെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീ പ്രസ്താവിക്കേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്എന്റെ പിതാവു ദേശാന്തരിയായോരു അരാമ്യനായിരുന്നു; ചുരുക്കംപേരോടു കൂടി അവന് മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു പരദേശിയായി പാര്ത്തു; അവിടെ വലിപ്പവും ബലവും പെരുപ്പവുമുള്ള ജനമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

5. And thou shalt respond and say before Yahweh thy God A Syrian ready to perish, was my father, so he went down to Egypt, and became a sojourner there with men only few; but he became there a nation great, mighty and numerous;

6. എന്നാല് മിസ്രയീമ്യര് ഞങ്ങളോടു തിന്മ ചെയ്തു ഞങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു ഞങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു കഠിനവേല ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

6. and the Egyptians, badly entreated us, and humiliated us, and put upon us harsh service;

7. അപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു ഞങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയും പ്രയാസവും ഞെരുക്കവും കണ്ടു.

7. so we made outcry unto Yahweh God of our fathers, and Yahweh hearkened unto our voice, and looked upon our humiliation and our toil, and our oppression;

8. യഹോവ ബലമുള്ള കയ്യാലും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജത്താലും മഹാഭയങ്കരപ്രവൃത്തിയോടും അടയാളങ്ങളോടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളോടുംകൂടെ ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു

8. and Yahweh, brought us forth, out of Egypt, with a firm hand and with a stretched-out arm, and with great terror, and with signs and with wonders;

9. ഞങ്ങളെ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ഈ ദേശം ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. and brought us into this place, and gave unto us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

10. ഇതാ, യഹോവേ, നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള നിലത്തിലെ ആദ്യഫലം ഞാന് ഇപ്പോള് കെണ്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. പിന്നെ നീ അതു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് വെച്ചു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നമസ്കരിക്കേണം.

10. Now, therefore lo! I have brought in the first of the fruit of the soil, which thou hast given unto me, O Yahweh. Thus shalt thou set it down before Yahweh thy God, and shall bow thyself down before Yahweh thy God;

11. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കും നിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്നും തന്നിട്ടുള്ള എല്ലാനന്മയിലും നീയും ലേവ്യനും നിങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പരദേശിയും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

11. and shalt rejoice in all the good things which Yahweh thy God, hath given unto thee, and unto thy house, thou and the Levite, and the sojourner who is in thy midst.

12. ദശാംശം എടുക്കുന്ന കാലമായ മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തില് നിന്റെ അനുഭവത്തിലൊക്കെയും ദശാംശം എടുത്തു ലേവ്യനും പരദേശിയും അനാഥനും വിധവയും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു തൃപ്തിയാംവണ്ണം തിന്മാന് കൊടുത്തു തീര്ന്നശേഷം

12. When thou shalt make an end of tithing all the tithe of thine increase in the third year the year of tithing, and shalt give unto the Levite unto the sojourner, unto the fatherless and unto the widow, and they shall eat within thy gates and be satisfied,

13. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീ പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന കല്പനപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധമായതു എന്റെ വീട്ടില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ലേവ്യന്നും പരദേശിക്കും അനാഥന്നും വിധവേക്കും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്റെ കല്പന ലംഘിക്കയോ മറന്നുകളകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

13. then shalt thou say before Yahweh thy God: I have carefully removed that which was hallowed out of the house moreover also I have given it unto the Levite, and unto the sojourner unto the fatherless and unto the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me, I have not transgressed any of thy commandments neither have I forgotten,

14. എന്റെ ദുഃഖത്തില് ഞാന് അതില് നിന്നു തിന്നിട്ടില്ല; അശുദ്ധനായിരുന്നപ്പോള് ഞാന് അതില് ഒന്നും നീക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടില്ല; മരിച്ചവന്നു അതില്നിന്നു ഒന്നും കൊടുത്തിട്ടുമില്ല; ഞാന് എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. I have not eaten in my sorrow therefrom neither have I removed therefrom when unclean, neither have I given thereof unto the dead, I have hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh my God, I have done according to all which thou hast commanded me.

15. നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു നോക്കി നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്ന ദേശമായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തെയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ.

15. Look thou down out of thy holy habitation out of the heavens and bless thy people Israel, and the soil which thou hast given unto us, as thou didst swear unto our fathers, a and flowing with milk and honey.

16. ഈ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ആചരിപ്പാന് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു; നീ അവയെ പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണം.

16. This day, is Yahweh thy God commanding thee to do these statutes and the regulations, thou shalt therefore observe and do them, with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

17. യഹോവ നിനക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും നീ അവന്റെ വഴികളില് നടന്നു അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ വചനം അനുസരിക്കേണമെന്നും നീ ഇന്നു അരുളപ്പാടു കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. Thou hast avowed to-day that Yahweh, shall be, thy God, and that thou wilt walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his regulations and wilt hearken unto his voice.

18. യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ അവന്നു സ്വന്തജനമായി അവന്റെ സകലകല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കുമെന്നും

18. And, Yahweh, hath avowed to-day that thou shalt be, his people, as a treasure, as he spake unto thee, and that thou shalt observe all his commandments;

19. താന് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സകലജാതികള്ക്കും മീതെ നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ചെക്കും കീര്ത്തിക്കും മാനത്തിന്നുമായി ഉന്നതമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു താന് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധജനമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും ഇന്നു നിന്റെ വാമൊഴി വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. and hath avowed that he will set thee on high above all the nations which he hath made, for praise, and for renown and for glory, and that thou shalt be a holy people unto Yahweh thy God as he hath spoken.
