1. ഏറിയനാള് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തില് ഏലീയാവിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായിനീ ചെന്നു ആഹാബിന്നു നിന്നെത്തന്നേ കാണിക്ക; ഞാന് ഭൂതലത്തില് മഴ പെയ്യിപ്പാന് പോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

1. After many dayes, the worde of the Lord came to Eliiah, in the third yeere, saying, Goe, shewe thy selfe vnto Ahab, and I will sende rayne vpon the earth.

2. ഏലീയാവു ആഹാബിന്നു തന്നെത്താന് കാണിപ്പാന് പോയി; ക്ഷാമമോ ശമര്യയില് കഠിനമായിരുന്നു.

2. And Eliiah went to shew himselfe vnto Ahab, and there was a great famine in Samaria.

3. ആകയാല് ആഹാബ് തന്റെ ഗൃഹവിചാരകനായ ഔബദ്യാവെ ആളയച്ചുവരുത്തി; ഔബദ്യാവോ യഹോവയിങ്കല് മഹാഭക്തനായിരുന്നു.

3. And Ahab called Obadiah the gouernour of his house: (and Obadiah feared God greatly:

4. ഈസേബെല് യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുമ്പോള് ഔബദ്യാവു നൂറു പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു ഔരോ ഗുഹയില് അമ്പതീതുപേരായി ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു അപ്പവും വെള്ളവും കൊടുത്തു രക്ഷിച്ചു.

4. For when Iezebel destroyed the Prophets of the Lord, Obadiah tooke an hundreth Prophets, and hid them, by fiftie in a caue, and he fed them with bread and water.)

5. ആഹാബ് ഔബദ്യാവോടുനീ നാട്ടിലുള്ള എല്ലാ നീരുറവുകളുടെയും തോടുകളുടെയും അരികത്തു ചെന്നു നോക്കുക; പക്ഷേ മൃഗങ്ങള് എല്ലാം നശിച്ചുപോകാതെ കുതിരകളെയും കോവര്കഴുതകളെയും എങ്കിലും ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന് നമുക്കു പുല്ലു കിട്ടും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And Ahab saide vnto Obadiah, Goe into the land, vnto all the fountaines of water, and vnto all the riuers, if so be that we may finde grasse to saue the horses and the mules aliue, lest we depriue the lande of the beastes.

6. അവര് ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിനെ തമ്മില് പകുത്തു; ആഹാബ് തനിച്ചു ഒരു വഴിക്കു പോയി, ഔബദ്യാവും തനിച്ചു മറ്റൊരു വഴിക്കു പോയി,

6. And so they deuided the lande betweene them to walke thorowe it. Ahab went one way by him selfe, and Obadiah went another way by him selfe.

7. ഔബദ്യാവു വഴിയില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഏലീയാവു എതിരേറ്റുവരുന്നതു കണ്ടു അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണുഎന്റെ യജമാനനായ ഏലീയാവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

7. And as Obadiah was in the way, behold, Eliiah met him: and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Art not thou my lord Eliiah?

8. അവന് അവനോടുഅതേ, ഞാന് തന്നേ; നീ ചെന്നു ഏലീയാവു ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനോടു ബോധിപ്പിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And he answered him, Yea, goe tell thy lord, Behold, Eliiah is here.

9. അതിന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതുഅടിയനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അഹാബിന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിപ്പാന് അടിയന് എന്തു പാപം ചെയ്തു?

9. And he said, What haue I sinned, that thou wouldest deliuer thy seruant into the hande of Ahab, to slay me?

10. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയാണ, നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിപ്പാന് എന്റെ യജമാനന് ആളെ അയക്കാത്ത ജാതിയും രാജ്യവും ഇല്ല; നീ അവിടെ ഇല്ല എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് അവന് ആ രാജ്യത്തെയും ജാതിയെയുംകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

10. As the Lord thy God liueth, there is no nation or kingdome, whither my lorde hath not sent to seeke thee: and when they sayd, He is not here, he tooke an othe of the kingdome and nation, if they had not found thee.

11. ഇങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ നീ എന്നോടുചെന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനോടുഏലീയാവു ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ബോധിപ്പിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

11. And now thou sayest, Goe, tell thy lorde, Beholde, Eliiah is here.

12. ഞാന് നിന്നെ പിരിഞ്ഞുപോയ ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവു നിന്നെ ഞാന് അറിയാത്ത ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഞാന് ആഹാബിനോടു ചെന്നറിയിക്കയും അവന് നിന്നെ കണ്ടെത്താതെ ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അവന് എന്നെ കൊല്ലുമല്ലോ; അടിയനോ ബാല്യംമുതല് യഹോവഭക്തന് ആകുന്നു.

12. And when I am gone from thee, the Spirit of the Lord shall cary thee into some place that I doe not know: so when I come and tell Ahab, if he cannot finde thee, then wil he kill me: But I thy seruant feare the Lord from my youth.

13. ഈസേബെല് യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുമ്പോള് ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരില് നൂറുപേരെ ഔരോ ഗുഹയില് അമ്പതീതുപേരായി ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു അപ്പവും വെള്ളവും കൊടുത്തു രക്ഷിച്ച വസ്തുത യജമാനന് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലയോ?

13. Was it not tolde my lord, what I did when Iezebel slew the Prophets of the Lord, how I hid an hundreth men of the Lordes Prophets by fifties in a caue, and fed them with bread and water?

14. അങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ നീ എന്നോടുചെന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനോടുഏലീയാവു ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ബോധിപ്പിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവന് എന്നെ കൊല്ലുമല്ലോ.

14. And now thou sayest, Go, tel thy lord, Behold, Eliiah is here, that he may slay me.

15. അതിന്നു ഏലീയാവുഞാന് സേവിച്ചുനിലക്കുന്ന സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയാണ, ഞാന് ഇന്നു അവന്നു എന്നെത്തന്നേ കാണിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. And Eliiah said, As the Lord of hostes liueth, before whome I stand, I will surely shewe my selfe vnto him this day.

16. അങ്ങനെ ഔബദ്യാവു ആഹാബിനെ ചെന്നു കണ്ടു വസ്തുത അറിയിച്ചു; ആഹാബ് ഏലീയാവെ കാണ്മാന് ചെന്നു.

16. So Obadiah went to meete Ahab, and tolde him: And Ahab went to meete Eliiah.

17. ആഹാബ് ഏലീയാവെ കണ്ടപ്പോള് അവനോടുആര് ഇതു? യിസ്രായേലിനെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവനോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

17. And when Ahab saw Eliiah, Ahab said vnto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?

18. അതിന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതുയിസ്രായേലിനെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതു ഞാനല്ല, നീയും നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനവുമത്രേ. നിങ്ങള് യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകളെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും നീ ബാല്വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ചെന്നു സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ.

18. And he answered, I haue not troubled Israel, but thou, and thy fathers house, in that ye haue forsaken the commandements of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim.

19. എന്നാല് ഇപ്പോള് ആളയച്ചു എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനെയും ബാലിന്റെ നാനൂറ്റമ്പതു പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും ഈസേബെലിന്റെ മേശയിങ്കല് ഭക്ഷിച്ചുവരുന്ന നാനൂറു അശേരാപ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും കര്മ്മേല്പര്വ്വതത്തില് എന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുക.

19. Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel vnto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal foure hundreth and fiftie, and the prophets of the groues foure hundreth, which eate at Iezebels table.

20. അങ്ങനെ ആഹാബ് എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെയും അടുക്കല് ആളയച്ചു കര്മ്മേല്പര്വ്വതത്തില് ആ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

20. So Ahab sent vnto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together vnto mount Carmel.

21. അപ്പോള് ഏലീയാവു അടുത്തുചെന്നു സര്വ്വജനത്തോടുംനിങ്ങള് എത്രത്തോളം രണ്ടു തോണിയില് കാല്വേക്കും? യഹോവ ദൈവം എങ്കില് അവനെ അനുഗമിപ്പിന് ; ബാല് എങ്കിലോ അവനെ അനുഗമിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാല് ജനം അവനോടു ഉത്തരം ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല.

21. And Eliiah came vnto all the people, and said, How long halt ye betweene two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal be he, then goe after him. And the people answered him not a worde.

22. പിന്നെ ഏലീയാവു ജനത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞതുയഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകനായി ഞാന് ഒരുത്തന് മാത്രമേ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുള്ളു; ബാലിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരോ നാനൂറ്റമ്പതുപേരുണ്ടു.

22. Then said Eliiah vnto the people, I onely remayne a Prophet of the Lord: but Baals prophets are foure hundreth and fiftie men.

23. ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു രണ്ടു കാളയെ തരട്ടെ; ഒരു കാളയെ അവര് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു ഖണ്ഡംഖണ്ഡമാക്കി തീ ഇടാതെ വിറകിന്മേല് വെക്കട്ടെ; മറ്റേ കാളയെ ഞാനും ഒരുക്കി തീ ഇടാതെ വിറകിന്മേല് വെക്കാം;

23. Let them therefore giue vs two bullockes, and let them chuse the one, and cut him in pieces, and lay him on the wood, but put no fire vnder, and I will prepare the other bullocke, and lay him on the wood, and will put no fire vnder.

24. നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിപ്പിന് ; ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കാം; തീകൊണ്ടു ഉത്തരം അരുളുന്ന ദൈവം തന്നേ ദൈവമെന്നു ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; അതിന്നു ജനം എല്ലാം

24. Then call ye on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and then the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered, and sayde, It is well spoken.

25. അതു നല്ലവാക്കു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ ഏലീയാവു ബാലിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടുനിങ്ങള് ഒരു കാളയെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു ആദ്യം ഒരുക്കിക്കൊള്വിന് ; നിങ്ങള് അധികം പേരുണ്ടല്ലോ; എന്നിട്ടു തീ ഇടാതെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. And Eliiah said vnto the prophets of Baal, Chuse you a bullocke, and prepare him first, (for ye are many) and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire vnder.

26. അങ്ങനെ അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്ത കാളയെ അവര് എടുത്തു ഒരുക്കിബാലേ, ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ എന്നു രാവിലെ തുടങ്ങി ഉച്ചവരെ ബാലിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു. ഒരു ശബ്ദമോ ഉത്തരമോ ഉണ്ടായില്ല. തങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ബലിപീഠത്തിന്നു ചുറ്റും അവര് തുള്ളിച്ചാടിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

26. So they tooke the one bullocke, that was giuen them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal, from morning to noone, saying, O Baal, heare vs: but there was no voyce, nor any to answere: and they leapt vpon the altar that was made.

27. ഉച്ചയായപ്പോള് ഏലീയാവു അവരെ പരിഹസിച്ചുഉറക്കെ വിളിപ്പിന് ; അവന് ദേവനല്ലോ; അവന് ധ്യാനിക്കയാകുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കില് വെളിക്കു പോയിരിക്കയാകുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കില് യാത്രയിലാകുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കില് പക്ഷെ ഉറങ്ങുകയാകുന്നു; അവനെ ഉണര്ത്തേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. And at noone Eliiah mocked them, and said, Crye loude: for he is a god: either he talketh or pursueth his enemies, or is in his iourney, or it may be that he sleepeth, and must be awaked.

28. അവര് ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചു പതിവുപോലെ രക്തം ഒഴുകുവോളം വാള്കൊണ്ടും കുന്തംകൊണ്ടും തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു.

28. And they cryed loude, and cut them selues as their maner was, with kniues and launcers, till the blood gushed out vpon them.

29. ഉച്ചതിരിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഭോജനയാഗം കഴിക്കുന്ന സമയംവരെ അവര് വെളിച്ചപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; എന്നിട്ടും ഒരു ശബ്ദമോ ഉത്തരമോ ശ്രദ്ധയോ ഉണ്ടായില്ല.

29. And when midday was passed, and they had prophecied vntil the offring of the euening sacrifice, there was neither voyce, nor one to answere, nor any that regarded.

30. അപ്പോള് ഏലീയാവുഎന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവിന് എന്നു സര്വ്വജനത്തോടും പറഞ്ഞു. സര്വ്വജനവും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചേര്ന്നു. അവന് ഇടിഞ്ഞുകിടന്ന യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠം നന്നാക്കി;

30. And Eliiah said vnto all the people, Come to me. And all the people came to him. And he repayred the altar of the Lord that was broken downe.

31. നിനക്കു യിസ്രായേല് എന്നു പേരാകും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ലഭിച്ച യാക്കോബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഗോത്രസംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം പന്ത്രണ്ടു കല്ലു എടുത്തു,

31. And Eliiah tooke twelue stones, according to the nomber of the tribes of the sonnes of Iaakob, (vnto whome the worde of the Lord came, saying, Israel shalbe thy name)

32. കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തില് ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു; യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും രണ്ടു സെയാ വിത്തു വിതെപ്പാന് മതിയായ വിസ്താരത്തില് ഒരു തോടു ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

32. And with the stones he buylt an altar in the Name of the Lord: and he made a ditch round about the altar, as great as woulde conteine two measures of seede.

33. പിന്നെ അവന് വിറകു അടുക്കി കാളയെ ഖണ്ഡംഖണ്ഡമാക്കി വിറകിന് മീതെ വെച്ചു; നാലു തൊട്ടിയില് വെള്ളം നിറെച്ചു ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്മേലും വിറകിന്മേലും ഒഴിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. And he put the wood in order, and hewed the bullocke in pieces, and layd him on the wood,

34. രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യവും അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു. അവര് രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യവും ചെയ്തു; അതിന്റെ ശേഷംമൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യവും അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു. അവര് മൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യവും ചെയ്തു.

34. And said, Fill foure barrels with water, and powre it on the burnt offring and on the wood. Againe he said, Doe so againe. And they did so the second time. And he sayde, Doe it the third time. And they did it the third time.

35. വെള്ളം യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റം ഒഴുകി; അവന് തോട്ടിലും വെള്ളം നിറെച്ചു.

35. And the water ran round about the altar: and he filled the ditch with water also.

36. ഭോജനയാഗം കഴിക്കുന്ന നേരമായപ്പോള് ഏലീയാപ്രവാചകന് അടുത്തുചെന്നുഅബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും ദൈവയമായ യഹോവേ, യിസ്രയേലില് നീ ദൈവമെന്നും ഞാന് നിന്റെ ദാസന് എന്നും ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ഞാന് നിന്റെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തു എന്നും ഇന്നു വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരട്ടെ.

36. And when they should offer the euening sacrifice, Eliiah the Prophet came, and sayd, Lord God of Abraham, Izhak and of Israel, let it be knowen this day, that thou art the God of Israel, and that I am thy seruant, and that I haue done all these things at thy commandement.

37. യഹോവേ, എനിക്കു ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ; നീ ദൈവം തന്നേ യഹോവേ; നീ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം വീണ്ടും തിരിച്ചു എന്നു ഈ ജനം അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

37. Heare me, O Lord, heare me, and let this people know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart againe at the last.

38. ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ തീ ഇറങ്ങി ഹോമയാഗവും വിറകും മണ്ണും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചു തോട്ടിലെ വെള്ളവും വറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

38. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt offring, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked vp the water that was in the ditche.

39. ജനം എല്ലാം അതു കണ്ടു കവിണ്ണുവീണുയഹോവ തന്നേ ദൈവം, യഹോവ തന്നേ ദൈവം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

39. And when all the people sawe it, they fell on their faces, and saide, The Lord is God, the Lord is God.

40. ഏലീയാവു അവരോടുബാലിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ പിടിപ്പിന് ; അവരില് ഒരുത്തനും ചാടിപ്പോകരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവര് അവരെ പിടിച്ചു; ഏലീയാവു അവരെ താഴെ കീശോന് തോട്ടിന്നരികെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു അവിടെവെച്ചു വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

40. And Elijah said vnto them, Take the prophets of Baal, let not a man of them escape. and they tooke them, and Eliiah brought them to the brooke Kishon, and slewe them there.

41. പിന്നെ ഏലീയാവു ആഹാബിനോടുനീ ചെന്നു ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനം ചെയ്ക; വലിയ മഴയുടെ മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

41. And Eliiah sayde vnto Ahab, Get thee vp, eate and drinke, for there is a sound of much rayne.

42. ആഹാബ് ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു മല കയറിപ്പോയി. ഏലീയാവോ കര്മ്മേല് പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ മുകളില് കയറി നിലത്തു കുനിഞ്ഞു മുഖം തന്റെ മുഴങ്കാലുകളുടെ നടുവില് വെച്ചു തന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരനോടു
യാക്കോബ് 5:18

42. So Ahab went vp to eate and to drinke, and Eliiah went vp to the top of Carmel: and he crouched vnto the earth, and put his face betweene his knees,

43. നീ ചെന്നു കടലിന്നു നേരെ നോക്കുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന് ചെന്നു നോക്കീട്ടുഒന്നും ഇല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു അവന് പിന്നെയും ഏഴുപ്രാവശ്യം ചെല്ലുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

43. And sayde to his seruant, Goe vp now and looke towarde the way of the Sea. And he went vp, and looked, and sayde, There is nothing. Againe he sayd, Goe againe seuen times.

44. ഏഴാം പ്രാവശ്യമോ അവന് ഇതാ, കടലില്നിന്നു ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ കൈപോലെ ഒരു ചെറിയ മേഘം പൊങ്ങുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു അവന് നീ ചെന്നു ആഹാബിനോടുമഴ നിന്നെ തടുക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു രഥം പൂട്ടി ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോക എന്നു ബോധിപ്പിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

44. And at the seuenth time he sayd, Behold, there ariseth a litle cloude out of the sea like a mans hand. Then he sayd, Vp, and say vnto Ahab, Make readie thy charet, and get thee downe, that the raine stay thee not.

45. ക്ഷണത്തില് ആകാശം മേഘവും കാറ്റുംകൊണ്ടു കറുത്തു വന്മഴ പെയ്തു. ആഹാബ് രഥം കയറി യിസ്രായേലിലേക്കു പോയി.

45. And in the meane while the heauen was blacke with cloudes and winde, and there was a great rayne. Then Ahab went vp and came to Izreel.

46. എന്നാല് യഹോവയുടെ കൈ ഏലീയാവിന്മേല് വന്നു; അവന് അര മുറുക്കിയുംകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലില് എത്തുംവരെ ആഹാബിന്നു മുമ്പായി ഔടി.
