1. അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Then Job answered, and said:

2. നിങ്ങള് എത്രത്തോളം എന്റെ മനസ്സു വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കയും മൊഴികളാല് എന്നെ തകര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്യും?

2. How long do you afflict my soul, and break me in pieces with words?

3. ഇപ്പോള് പത്തു പ്രാവശ്യം നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു കാഠിന്യം കാണിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലജ്ജയില്ല.

3. Behold, these ten times you confound me, and are not ashamed to oppress me.

4. ഞാന് തെറ്റിപ്പോയതു വാസ്തവം എന്നു വരികില് എന്റെ തെറ്റു എനിക്കു തന്നേ അറിയാം.

4. For if I have been ignorant, my ignorance shall be with me.

5. നിങ്ങള് സാക്ഷാല് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി വലിപ്പം ഭാവിച്ചു എന്റെ അപമാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്നെ ആക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്

5. But you have set yourselves up against me, and reprove me with my reproaches.

6. ദൈവം എന്നെ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു തന്റെ വലയില് എന്നെ കുടുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നറിവിന് .

6. At least now understand, that God hath not afflicted me with an equal judgment, and compassed me with his scourges.

7. അയ്യോ, ബലാല്ക്കാരം എന്നു ഞാന് നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; കേള്പ്പോരില്ല; രക്ഷെക്കായി ഞാന് മുറയിടുന്നു; ന്യായം കിട്ടുന്നതുമില്ല.

7. Behold I cry suffering violence, and no one will hear: I shall cry aloud, and there is none to judge.

8. എനിക്കു കടന്നുകൂടാതവണ്ണം അവന് എന്റെ വഴി കെട്ടിയടെച്ചു, എന്റെ പാതകള് ഇരുട്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. He hath hedged in my path round about, and I cannot pass, and in my way he hath set darkness.

9. എന്റെ തേജസ്സു അവന് എന്റെ മേല്നിന്നു ഊരിയെടുത്തു; എന്റെ തലയിലെ കിരീടം നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

9. He hath stripped me of my glory, and hath taken the crown from my head.

10. അവന് എന്നെ ചുറ്റും ക്ഷയിപ്പിച്ചു; എന്റെ കഥകഴിഞ്ഞു; ഒരു വൃക്ഷത്തെപ്പോലെ എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയെ പറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am lost, and he hath taken away my hope, as from a tree that is plucked up.

11. അവന് തന്റെ കോപം എന്റെമേല് ജ്വലിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നെ തനിക്കു ശത്രുവായി എണ്ണുന്നു.

11. His wrath is kindled against me, and he hath counted me as his enemy.

12. അവന്റെ പടക്കൂട്ടങ്ങള് ഒന്നിച്ചുവരുന്നു; അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി നിരത്തുന്നു; എന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങുന്നു.

12. His troops have come together, and have made themselves a way by me, and have besieged my tabernacle round about.

13. അവര് എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ എന്നോടു അകറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ പരിചയക്കാര് എനിക്കു അന്യരായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

13. He hath put my brethren far from me, and my acquaintance like strangers have departed from me.

14. എന്റെ ബന്ധുജനം ഒഴിഞ്ഞുമാറി; എന്റെ ഉറ്റ സ്നേഹിതന്മാര് എന്നെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

14. My kinsmen have forsaken me, and they that knew me, have forgotten me.

15. എന്റെ വീട്ടില് പാര്ക്കുംന്നവരും എന്റെ ദാസികളും എന്നെ അന്യനായെണ്ണുന്നു; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും പരദേശിയായ്തോന്നുന്നു.

15. They that dwelt in my house, and my maidservants have counted me a stranger, and I have been like an alien in their eyes.

16. ഞാന് എന്റെ ദാസനെ വിളിച്ചു; അവന് വിളി കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്റെ വായ്കൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവനോടു യാചിക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്നു.

16. I called my servant, and he gave me no answer, I entreated him with my own mouth.

17. എന്റെ ശ്വാസം എന്റെ ഭാര്യകൂ അസഹ്യവും എന്റെ യാചന എന്റെ ഉടപ്പിറന്നവര്ക്കും അറെപ്പും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. My wife hath abhorred my breath, and I entreated the children of my womb.

18. പിള്ളരും എന്നെ നിരസിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റാല് അവര് എന്നെ കളിയാക്കുന്നു.

18. Even fools despise me; and when I gone from them, they spoke against me.

19. എന്റെ പ്രാണസ്നേഹിതന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു പ്രിയരായവര് വിരോധികളായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

19. They that were sometime my counsellors, have abhorred me: and he whom I love most is turned against me.

20. എന്റെ അസ്ഥി ത്വക്കിനോടും മാംസത്തോടും പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; പല്ലിന്റെ മോണയോടെ ഞാന് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. The flesh being consumed. My bone hath cleaved to my skin, and nothing but lips are left about my teeth.

21. സ്നേഹിതന്മാരേ, എന്നോടു കൃപ തോന്നേണമേ, കൃപ തോന്നേണമേ; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൈ എന്നെ തൊട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. Have pity on me, have pity on me, at least you my friends, because the hand of the Lord hath touched me.

22. ദൈവം എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളും എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നു തൃപ്തിവരാത്തതു എന്തു?

22. Why do you persecute me as God, and glut yourselves with my flesh?

23. അയ്യോ എന്റെ വാക്കുകള് ഒന്നു എഴുതിയെങ്കില്, ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തില് കുറിച്ചുവെച്ചെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

23. Who will grant me that my words may be written? Who will grant me that they may be marked down in a book?

24. അവയെ ഇരിമ്പാണിയും ഈയവുംകൊണ്ടു പാറയില് സദാകാലത്തേക്കു കൊത്തിവെച്ചെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

24. With an iron pen and in a plate of lead, or else be graven with an instrument in flint stone.

25. എന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കുന്നവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അവന് ഒടുവില് പൊടിമേല് നിലക്കുമെന്നും ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

25. For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and in the last day I shall rise out of the earth.

26. എന്റെ ത്വക് ഇങ്ങനെ നശിച്ചശേഷം ഞാന് ദേഹരഹിതനായി ദൈവത്തെ കാണും.
യോഹന്നാൻ 19:30

26. And I shall be clothed again with my skin, and in my flesh I will see my God.

27. ഞാന് തന്നേ അവനെ കാണും; അന്യനല്ല, എന്റെ സ്വന്തകണ്ണു അവനെ കാണും; എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് ക്ഷയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. Whom I myself shall see, and my eyes shall behold, and not another: this my hope is laid up in my bosom.

28. നാം എങ്ങനെ അവനെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുമെന്നും കാര്യത്തിന്റെ മൂലം എന്നില് കാണുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നുവെങ്കില്

28. Why then do you say now: Let us persecute him, and let us find occasion of word against him?

29. വാളിനെ പേടിപ്പിന് ; ക്രോധം വാളിന്റെ ശിക്ഷെക്കു ഹേതു; ഒരു ന്യായവിധി ഉണ്ടെന്നറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വിന് .

29. Flee then from the face of the sword, for the sword is the revenger of iniquities: and know ye that there is judgment.
