1. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീര്ത്തനം.

1. By David. Blessed [is] Jehovah my rock, who is teaching My hands for war, my fingers for battle.

2. എന്റെ പാറയാകുന്ന യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് ; അവന് യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു എന്റെ കൈകളെയും പോരിന്നു എന്റെ വിരലുകളെയും അഭ്യസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

2. My kind one, and my bulwark, My tower, and my deliverer, My shield, and in whom I have trusted, Who is subduing my people under me!

3. എന്റെ ദയയും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും എന്റെ ഗോപുരവും എന്റെ രക്ഷകനും എന്റെ പരിചയും ഞാന് ശരണമാക്കിയവനും എന്റെ ജനത്തെ എനിക്കു കീഴാക്കിത്തരുന്നവനും അവന് തന്നേ.

3. Jehovah, what [is] man that Thou knowest him? Son of man, that Thou esteemest him?

4. യഹോവേ, മനുഷ്യനെ നീ ഗണ്യമാക്കുവാന് അവന് എന്തു? മര്ത്യപുത്രനെ നീ വിചാരിപ്പാന് അവന് എന്തുമാത്രം?

4. Man to vanity hath been like, His days [are] as a shadow passing by.

5. മനുഷ്യന് ഒരു ശ്വാസത്തിന്നു തുല്യമത്രെ. അവന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം കടന്നുപോകുന്ന നിഴല്പോലെയാകുന്നു.

5. Jehovah, incline Thy heavens and come down, Strike against mountains, and they smoke.

6. യഹോവേ, ആകാശം ചായിച്ചു ഇറങ്ങിവരേണമേ; പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് പുകയുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവയെ തൊടേണമേ.

6. Send forth lightning, and scatter them, Send forth Thine arrows, and trouble them,

7. മിന്നലിനെ അയച്ചു അവരെ ചിതറിക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങള് എയ്തു അവരെ തോല്പിക്കേണമേ.

7. Send forth Thy hand from on high, Free me, and deliver me from many waters, From the hand of sons of a stranger,

8. ഉയരത്തില്നിന്നു തൃക്കൈ നീട്ടി എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ; പെരുവെള്ളത്തില്നിന്നും അന്യജാതിക്കാരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ!

8. Because their mouth hath spoken vanity, And their right hand [is] a right hand of falsehood.

9. അവരുടെ വായ് ഭോഷകു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ വലങ്കൈ വ്യാജമുള്ള വലങ്കയ്യാകുന്നു.

9. O God, a new song I sing to Thee, On a psaltery of ten strings I sing praise to Thee.

10. ദൈവമേ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു പുതിയോരു പാട്ടുപാടും; പത്തു കമ്പിയുള്ള വീണകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിനക്കു കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്യും.

10. Who is giving deliverance to kings, Who is freeing David His servant from the sword of evil.

11. നീ രാജാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും ജയം നലകുകയും നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനെ ദോഷകരമായ വാളിങ്കല്നിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ.

11. Free me, and deliver me From the hand of sons of a stranger, Because their mouth hath spoken vanity, And their right hand [is] a right hand of falsehood,

12. അന്യജാതിക്കാരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; അവരുടെ വായ് ഭോഷകു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ വലങ്കൈ വ്യാജമുള്ള വലങ്കയ്യാകുന്നു.

12. Because our sons [are] as plants, Becoming great in their youth, Our daughters as hewn stones, Polished -- the likeness of a palace,

13. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാര് ബാല്യത്തില് തഴെച്ചു വളരുന്ന തൈകള്പോലെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിമാര് അരമനയുടെ മാതിരിയായി കൊത്തിയ മൂലത്തൂണുകള്പോലെയും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

13. Our garners [are] full, bringing out from kind to kind, Our flocks are bringing forth thousands, Ten thousands in our out-places,

14. ഞങ്ങളുടെ കളപ്പുരകള് വിവിധധാന്യം നലകുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കട്ടെ. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആടുകള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളില് ആയിരമായും പതിനായിരമായും പെറ്റുപെരുകട്ടെ.

14. Our oxen are carrying, there is no breach, And there is no outgoing, And there is no crying in our broad places.

15. ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാളകള് ചുമടു ചുമക്കട്ടെ; മതില് തകര്ക്കുംന്നതും പടെക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതും ഞങ്ങളുടെ വീഥികളില് നിലവിളിയും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.

15. O the happiness of the people that is thus, O the happiness of the people whose God [is] Jehovah!
