1. ദൈവമേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ ശരണം ആക്കിയിരിക്കയാല് എന്നെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണമേ,

1. Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.

2. ഞാന് യഹോവയോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനീ എന്റെ കര്ത്താവാകുന്നു; നീ ഒഴികെ എനിക്കു ഒരു നന്മയും ഇല്ല.

2. I said to the LORD, 'You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.'

3. ഭൂമിയിലെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരോ അവര് എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാര് തന്നേ.

3. The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!

4. അന്യദേവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവരുടെ വേദനകള് വര്ദ്ധിക്കും; അവരുടെ രക്തപാനീയബലികളെ ഞാന് അര്പ്പിക്കയില്ല; അവരുടെ നാമങ്ങളെ എന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് എടുക്കയുമില്ല.

4. Troubles multiply for those who chase after other gods. I will not take part in their sacrifices of blood or even speak the names of their gods.

5. എന്റെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെയും പാനപാത്രത്തിന്റെയും പങ്കു യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; നീ എനിക്കുള്ള ഔഹരിയെ പരിപാലിക്കുന്നു.

5. LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine.

6. അളവുനൂല് എനിക്കു മനോഹരദേശത്തു വീണിരിക്കുന്നു; അതേ, എനിക്കു നല്ലോരവകാശം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. The land you have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance!

7. എനിക്കു ബുദ്ധി ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്ന യഹോവയെ ഞാന് വാഴ്ത്തും; രാത്രികാലങ്ങളിലും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം എന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു.

7. I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.

8. ഞാന് യഹോവയെ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല.

8. I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

9. അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിച്ചു എന്റെ മനസ്സു ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ജഡവും നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കും.

9. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety.

10. നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തില് വിടുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാന് സമ്മതിക്കയുമില്ല.

10. For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.

11. ജീവന്റെ വഴി നീ എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരും; നിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് സന്തോഷപരിപൂര്ണ്ണതയും നിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു എന്നും പ്രമോദങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടു.

11. You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. A prayer of David.
