1. ദൈവമേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ ശരണം ആക്കിയിരിക്കയാല് എന്നെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണമേ,

1. Michtam of David Preserve me, (O God) for in thee do I trust.

2. ഞാന് യഹോവയോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനീ എന്റെ കര്ത്താവാകുന്നു; നീ ഒഴികെ എനിക്കു ഒരു നന്മയും ഇല്ല.

2. I have said unto the LORD: thou art my God, my goods are nothing unto thee.

3. ഭൂമിയിലെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരോ അവര് എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാര് തന്നേ.

3. All my delight is upon the saints that are in the earth, and upon such like.

4. അന്യദേവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവരുടെ വേദനകള് വര്ദ്ധിക്കും; അവരുടെ രക്തപാനീയബലികളെ ഞാന് അര്പ്പിക്കയില്ല; അവരുടെ നാമങ്ങളെ എന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് എടുക്കയുമില്ല.

4. But they that run after another, shall have great trouble. Their drink offerings of blood will not I offer, neither make mention of their name in my mouth.

5. എന്റെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെയും പാനപാത്രത്തിന്റെയും പങ്കു യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; നീ എനിക്കുള്ള ഔഹരിയെ പരിപാലിക്കുന്നു.

5. The LORD him self is my good and my portion, thou maintainest mine inheritance.

6. അളവുനൂല് എനിക്കു മനോഹരദേശത്തു വീണിരിക്കുന്നു; അതേ, എനിക്കു നല്ലോരവകാശം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. The lot is fallen unto me in fair ground, yea I have a goodly heritage.

7. എനിക്കു ബുദ്ധി ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്ന യഹോവയെ ഞാന് വാഴ്ത്തും; രാത്രികാലങ്ങളിലും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം എന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു.

7. I will thank the LORD for giving me warning: my reins also have chastened me in the night season.

8. ഞാന് യഹോവയെ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല.

8. Afore hand saw I GOD alwayes before me, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.

9. അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിച്ചു എന്റെ മനസ്സു ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ജഡവും നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കും.

9. Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad, my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10. നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തില് വിടുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാന് സമ്മതിക്കയുമില്ല.

10. For why? thou shalt not leave my soul in hell, neither shalt thou suffer thy saint to see corruption.

11. ജീവന്റെ വഴി നീ എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരും; നിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് സന്തോഷപരിപൂര്ണ്ണതയും നിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു എന്നും പ്രമോദങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടു.

11. Thou hast shewed me the ways of life: thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. At thy right hand there is pleasure and joy for evermore.
