1. അനവധിസമ്പത്തിലും സല്കീര്ത്തിയും വെള്ളിയിലും പൊന്നിലും കൃപയും നല്ലതു.

15. All children are foolish, but firm correction will make them change.

16. ആദായം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എളിയവനെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനും ധനവാന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നവനും മുട്ടുള്ളവനായ്തീരും.

16. Cheat the poor to make profit or give gifts to the rich-- either way you lose.

17. ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ വചനങ്ങളെ ചെവിചായിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുക; എന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്നു മനസ്സുവെക്കുക.

17. Here are some sayings of people with wisdom, so listen carefully as I teach.

18. അവയെ നിന്റെ ഉള്ളില് സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നതും നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളില് അവ ഒക്കെയും ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും മനോഹരം.

18. You will be glad that you know these sayings and can recite them.

19. നിന്റെ ആശ്രയം യഹോവയില് ആയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു, നിന്നോടു തന്നേ, ഉപദേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. I am teaching them today, so that you may trust the LORD.

20. നിന്നെ അയച്ചവര്ക്കും നീ നേരുള്ള മറുപടി കൊണ്ടുപോകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിനക്കു നേരുള്ള മറുപടിയുടെ നിശ്ചയം അറിയിച്ചുതരുവാന്

21. You can trust them completely to give you the right words for those in charge of you.

23. The LORD is their defender, and what you do to them, he will do to you.

24. Don't make friends with anyone who has a bad temper.

26. Don't guarantee to pay someone else's debt.

27. വീട്ടുവാന് നിനക്കു വകയില്ലാതെ വന്നിട്ടു നിന്റെ കീഴില്നിന്നു നിന്റെ മെത്ത എടുത്തുകളവാന് ഇടവരുത്തുന്നതു എന്തിനു?

27. If you don't have the money, you might lose your bed.

28. നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പണ്ടത്തെ അതിര് നീ മാറ്റരുതു.

28. Don't move a boundary marker set up by your ancestors.

29. If you do your job well, you will work for a ruler and never be a slave.
