1. എന്റെ സഹോദരീ, എന്റെ കാന്തേ, ഞാന് എന്റെ തോട്ടത്തില് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എന്റെ മൂറും സുഗന്ധവര്ഗ്ഗവും പെറുക്കി; ഞാന് എന്റെ തേന് കട്ട തേനോടുകൂടെ തിന്നും എന്റെ വീഞ്ഞു പാലോടുകൂടെ കുടിച്ചു ഇരിക്കുന്നു; സ്നേഹിതന്മാരേ തിന്നുവിന് ; പ്രിയരേ, കുടിച്ചു മത്തരാകുവിന് !

1. I have come to my garden, my sister, [my] spouse; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. (TO HIS FRIENDS) Eat, O friends! Drink, yes, drink deeply, O beloved ones! THE SHULAMITE

2. ഞാന് ഉറങ്ങുന്നു എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഉണര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. വാതില്ക്കല് മുട്ടുന്ന എന്റെ പ്രിയന്റെ സ്വരംഎന്റെ സഹോദരീ, എന്റെ പ്രിയേ, എന്റെ പ്രാവേ, എന്റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കേ, തുറക്കുക; എന്റെ ശിരസ്സു മഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടും കുറുനിരകള് രാത്രിയില് പെയ്യുന്ന തുള്ളികൊണ്ടും നനെഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. I sleep, but my heart is awake; [It is] the voice of my beloved! He knocks, [saying,] 'Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night.'

3. എന്റെ അങ്കി ഞാന് ഊരിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു വീണ്ടും ധരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? ഞാന് കാലുകളെ കഴുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവയെ മലിനമാക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

3. I have taken off my robe; How can I put it on [again?] I have washed my feet; How can I defile them?

4. എന്റെ പ്രിയന് ദ്വാരത്തില് കൂടി കൈ നീട്ടി; എന്റെ ഉള്ളം അവനെച്ചൊല്ലി ഉരുകിപ്പോയി.

4. My beloved put his hand By the latch [of the door,] And my heart yearned for him.

5. എന്റെ പ്രിയന്നു തുറക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു; എന്റെ കൈ മൂറും, എന്റെ വിരല് മൂറിന് തൈലവും തഴുതുപിടികളിന്മേല് പൊഴിച്ചു.

5. I arose to open for my beloved, And my hands dripped [with] myrrh, My fingers with liquid myrrh, On the handles of the lock.

6. ഞാന് എന്റെ പ്രിയന്നു വേണ്ടി തുറന്നു എന്റെ പ്രിയനോ പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; അവന് സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോള് ഞാന് വിവശയായിരുന്നു; ഞാന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു അവനെ കണ്ടില്ല; ഞാന് അവനെ വിളിച്ചു; അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞില്ല.

6. I opened for my beloved, But my beloved had turned away [and] was gone. My heart leaped up when he spoke. I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.

7. നഗരത്തില് ചുറ്റി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന കാവല്ക്കാര് എന്നെ കണ്ടു; അവര് എന്നെ അടിച്ചു, മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു; മതില്കാവല്ക്കാര് എന്റെ മൂടുപടം എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

7. The watchmen who went about the city found me. They struck me, they wounded me; The keepers of the walls Took my veil away from me.

8. യെരൂശലേംപുത്രിമാരേ, നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ പ്രിയനെ കണ്ടെങ്കില് ഞാന് പ്രേമപരവശയായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു അറിയിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു ആണയിടുന്നു.

8. I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, If you find my beloved, That you tell him I [am] lovesick! THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM

9. സ്ത്രീകളില് അതി സുന്ദരിയായുള്ളോവേ, നിന്റെ പ്രിയന്നു മറ്റു പ്രിയന്മാരെക്കാള് എന്തു വിശേഷതയുള്ളു? നീ ഇങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങളോടു ആണയിടേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ പ്രിയന്നു മറ്റു പ്രിയന്മാരെക്കാള് എന്തു വിശേഷതയുള്ളു.

9. What [is] your beloved More than [another] beloved, O fairest among women? What [is] your beloved More than [another] beloved, That you so charge us? THE SHULAMITE

10. എന്റെ പ്രിയന് വെണ്മയും ചുവപ്പും ഉള്ളവന് , പതിനായിരംപേരില് അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠന് തന്നേ.

10. My beloved [is] white and ruddy, Chief among ten thousand.

11. അവന്റെ ശിരസ്സു അതിവിശേഷമായ തങ്കം; അവന്റെ കുറുനിരകള് ചുരുണ്ടും കാക്കയെപ്പോലെ കറുത്തും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

11. His head [is like] the finest gold; His locks [are] wavy, [And] black as a raven.

12. അവന്റെ കണ്ണു നീര്ത്തോടുകളുടെ അരികത്തുള്ള പ്രാവുകള്ക്കു തുല്യം; അതു പാലുകൊണ്ടു കഴുകിയതും ചേര്ച്ചയായി പതിച്ചതും ആകും.

12. His eyes [are] like doves By the rivers of waters, Washed with milk, [And] fitly set.

13. അവന്റെ കവിള് സുഗന്ധസസ്യങ്ങളുടെ തടവും നറുന്തൈകളുടെ വാരവും, അവന്റെ അധരം താമരപ്പൂവുംപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അതു മൂറിന് തൈലം പൊഴിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു;

13. His cheeks [are] like a bed of spices, Banks of scented herbs. His lips [are] lilies, Dripping liquid myrrh.

14. അവന്റെ കൈകള് ഗോമേദകം പതിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സ്വര്ണ്ണനാളങ്ങള്; അവന്റെ ഉദരം നീലരത്നം പതിച്ച ദന്ത നിര്മ്മിതം.

14. His hands [are] rods of gold Set with beryl. His body [is] carved ivory Inlaid [with] sapphires.

15. അവന്റെ തുട തങ്കച്ചുവട്ടില് നിര്ത്തിയ വെണ്കല്ത്തൂണ്; അവന്റെ രൂപം ലെബാനോനെപ്പോലെ ദേവദാരുപോലെ തന്നേ ഉല്കൃഷ്ടമാകുന്നു.

15. His legs [are] pillars of marble Set on bases of fine gold. His countenance [is] like Lebanon, Excellent as the cedars.

16. അവന്റെ വായ് ഏറ്റവും മധുരമുള്ളതു; അവന് സര്വ്വാംഗസുന്ദരന് തന്നേ. യെരൂശലേംപുത്രിമാരേ, ഇവനത്രേ എന്റെ പ്രിയന് ; ഇവനത്രേ എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്.

16. His mouth [is] most sweet, Yes, he [is] altogether lovely. This [is] my beloved, And this [is] my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem! THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM
