1. ആമോസിന്റെ മകനായ യെശയ്യാവു യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരായ ഉസ്സീയാവു, യോഥാം, ആഹാസ്, യെഹിസ്കീയാവു എന്നിവരുടെ കാലത്തു യെഹൂദയെയും യെരൂശലേമിനെയും പറ്റി ദര്ശിച്ച ദര്ശനം.

1. The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

2. ആകാശമേ, കേള്ക്ക; ഭൂമിയേ, ചെവിതരിക; യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് മക്കളെ പോറ്റി വളര്ത്തി; അവരോ എന്നോടു മത്സരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. Hear, O heavens, and listen, O earth! For Jehovah has spoken: I have nursed and brought up sons, but they have rebelled against Me.

3. കാള തന്റെ ഉടയവനെയും കഴുത തന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ പുല്തൊട്ടിയെയും അറിയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലോ അറിയുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ ജനം ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

3. The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's manger, but Israel does not know; My people have not understood.

4. Woe, sinful nation, a people heavy with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, sons who corrupt! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have scorned the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged backward.

5. ഇനി നിങ്ങളെ അടിച്ചിട്ടു എന്തു? നിങ്ങള് അധികം അധികം പിന്മാറുകേയുള്ളു; തല മുഴുവനും ദീനവും ഹൃദയം മുഴുവനും രോഗവും പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Why will you be stricken any more? Will you continue the revolt? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart is faint.

6. അടിതൊട്ടു മുടിവരെ ഒരു സുഖവും ഇല്ല; മുറിവും ചതവും പഴുത്തവ്രണവും മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളു; അവയെ ഞെക്കി കഴുകീട്ടില്ല, വെച്ചുകെട്ടീട്ടില്ല, എണ്ണ പുരട്ടി ശമിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

6. From the sole of the foot even to the head, no soundness is in it; only a wound and a stripe and a fresh blow; they have not been closed, nor bound up; nor was it softened with oil.

7. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം ശൂന്യമായി നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങള് തീക്കിരയായി; നിങ്ങള് കാണ്കെ അന്യജാതിക്കാര് നിങ്ങളുടെ നാടു തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; അതു അന്യജാതിക്കാര് ഉന്മൂലനാശം ചെയ്തതു പോലെ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Your land is a desolation; your cities burned with fire. Foreigners devour your land before you; and behold, ruin, as overthrown by foreigners.

8. And the daughter of Zion is left a booth in a vineyard, like a hut in a cucumber field, like a besieged city.

9. Except Jehovah of Hosts had left a remnant for us, a few, we would be as Sodom; we would be as Gomorrah.

10. Hear the Word of Jehovah, rulers of Sodom. Listen to the Law of our God, people of Gomorrah.

11. What good to Me are your many sacrifices, says Jehovah? I am sated with burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fattened cattle, and the blood of bulls; nor do I delight in the blood of lambs and he goats.

12. നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് വരുമ്പോള് എന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളെ ചവിട്ടുവാന് ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചതു ആര്?

12. When you come to see My face, who has required this at your hand, to trample My courts?

13. Do not add to bringing vain sacrifice; its incense is an abomination to Me. I cannot endure the new moon and sabbath, the going to meeting, and the evil assembly.

14. നിങ്ങളുടെ അമാവാസ്യകളെയും ഉത്സവങ്ങളെയും ഞാന് വെറുക്കുന്നു; അവ എനിക്കു അസഹ്യം; ഞാന് അവ സഹിച്ചു മുഷിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. My soul hates your new moons and your appointed feasts. They are a burden to Me. I am weary of bearing them.

15. നിങ്ങള് കൈമലര്ത്തുമ്പോള് ഞാന് എന്റെ കണ്ണു മറെച്ചുകളയും; നിങ്ങള് എത്ര തന്നേ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനകഴിച്ചാലും ഞാന് കേള്ക്കയില്ല; നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈ രക്തം കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you. Yea, when you multiply prayer, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

16. Wash yourselves, purify yourselves. Put away the evil of your doings from My sight; stop doing evil.

17. നന്മ ചെയ്വാന് പഠിപ്പിന് ; ന്യായം അന്വേഷിപ്പിന് ; പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ നേര്വ്വഴിക്കാക്കുവിന് ; അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുപ്പിന് ; വിധവേക്കു വേണ്ടി വ്യവഹരിപ്പിന് .

17. Learn to do good, seek justice, straighten the oppressor, judge the orphan, strive for the widow.

18. വരുവിന് , നമുക്കു തമ്മില് വാദിക്കാം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള് കുടുഞ്ചുവപ്പായിരുന്നാലും ഹിമംപോലെ വെളുക്കും; രക്താംബരംപോലെ ചുവപ്പായവിരുന്നാലും പഞ്ഞിപോലെ ആയിത്തീരും.

18. Come now and let us reason together, says Jehovah: Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as the crimson, they shall be like wool.

19. നിങ്ങള് മനസ്സുവെച്ചു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് ദേശത്തിലെ നന്മ അനുഭവിക്കും.

19. If you are willing and hear, you shall eat the good of the land.

20. മറുത്തു മത്സരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ നിങ്ങള് വാളിന്നിരയായ്തീരും; യഹോവയുടെ വായ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.

21. വിശ്വസ്തനഗരം വേശ്യയായി തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ! അതില് ന്യായം നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; നീതി വസിച്ചിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ, കുലപാതകന്മാര്.

21. Oh how the faithful city has become a harlot! She was full of justice; righteousness lodged in it. But now, murderers!

22. നിന്റെ വെള്ളി കീടമായും നിന്റെ വീഞ്ഞു വെള്ളം ചേര്ന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

22. Your silver has become dross; your wine is diluted with water.

23. നിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് മത്സരികള്; കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടാളികള് തന്നേ; അവര് ഒക്കെയും സമ്മാനപ്രിയരും പ്രതിഫലം കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നവരും ആകുന്നു; അവര് അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല; വിധവയുടെ വ്യവഹാരം അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നതുമില്ല.

23. Your princes are rebellious and companions of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards. They do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come to them,

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വല്ലഭനായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഹാ, ഞാന് എന്റെ വൈരികളോടു പകവീട്ടി എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോടു പ്രതികാരം നടത്തും.

24. and says the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Alas! I will be eased of My foes, and avenge Myself of My enemies.

25. ഞാന് എന്റെ കൈ നിന്റെ നേരെ തിരിച്ചു നിന്റെ കീടം തീരെ ഉരുക്കിക്കളകയും നിന്റെ വെള്ളീയം ഒക്കെയും നീക്കിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യും.

25. And I will return My hand on you, and refine your dross, as with lye, and turn aside all your alloy.

26. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ ആദിയിങ്കല് എന്നപോലെയും നിന്റെ ആലോചനക്കാരെ ആരംഭത്തിങ്കല് എന്നപോലെയും ആക്കും; അതിന്റെശേഷം നീ നീതിപുരം എന്നും വിശ്വസ്തനഗരം എന്നും വിളിക്കപ്പെടും.

26. And I will return your judges as at the first; and your advisors, as at the beginning; then you shall be called the city of righteousness, a faithful city.

27. സീയോന് ന്യായത്താലും അതില് മനം തിരിയുന്നവര് നീതിയാലും വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടും.

27. Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her returning ones with righteousness.

28. എന്നാല് അതിക്രമികള്ക്കും പാപികള്ക്കും ഒരുപോലെ നാശം ഭവിക്കും; യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവര് മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

28. And the ruin of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together. And those who forsake Jehovah shall be consumed.

29. നിങ്ങള് താല്പര്യം വെച്ചിരുന്ന കരുവേലകങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നാണിക്കും; നിങ്ങള് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരുന്ന തോട്ടങ്ങള്നിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിക്കും.

29. For they shall be ashamed of the trees which you lusted after; and you shall be ashamed of the gardens that you have chosen.

30. നിങ്ങള് ഇല പൊഴിഞ്ഞ കരുവേലകംപോലെയും വെള്ളമില്ലാത്ത തോട്ടംപോലെയും ഇരിക്കും.

30. For you shall be like a tree whose leaf fades, and like a garden that has no water in it.

31. ബലവാന് ചണനാരുപോലെയും അവന്റെ പണി തീപ്പൊരിപോലെയും ആകും; കെടുത്തുവാന് ആരുമില്ലാതെ രണ്ടും ഒരുമിച്ചു വെന്തുപോകും.

31. And the strong shall be for tow, and his work for a spark; and they shall burn both together; and no one shall quench them.
