1. ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളവാനും എന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ എളിയവരുടെ അവകാശം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുവാനും വിധവമാര് തങ്ങള്ക്കു കൊള്ളയായ്തീരുവാനും അനാഥന്മാരെ തങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇരയാക്കുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം

1. Woe to those who decree decrees of injustice, and writers who write toil;

2. നീതികെട്ട ചട്ടം നിയമിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും അനര്ത്ഥം എഴുതിവെക്കുന്ന എഴുത്തുകാര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

2. to turn aside the poor from judgment, and to steal justice from the poor of My people; that widows may be their prey; that they may rob orphans.

3. സന്ദര്ശനദിവസത്തിലും ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്ന വിനാശത്തിങ്കലും നിങ്ങള് എന്തു ചെയ്യും? സഹായത്തിന്നായിട്ടു നിങ്ങള് ആരുടെ അടുക്കല് ഔടിപ്പോകും? നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്വം നിങ്ങള് എവിടെ വെച്ചുകൊള്ളും?

3. And what will you do in the day of visitation and of destruction? It comes from far away. To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?

4. അവര് ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കീഴെ കുനികയും ഹതന്മാരുടെ കീഴെ വീഴുകയും ചെയ്കേയുള്ളു. ഇതെല്ലാംകൊണ്ടും അവന്റെ കോപം അടങ്ങാതെ അവന്റെ കൈ ഇനിയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കും.

4. Surely, he will grovel under the prisoners, and they will fall under the slain. In all this His anger does not turn away, but His hand is still stretched out.

5. എന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ കോലായ അശ്ശൂരിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അവരുടെ കയ്യിലെ വടി എന്റെ ക്രോധം ആകുന്നു.

5. Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger! And My fury is the staff in their hand.

6. ഞാന് അവനെ അശുദ്ധമായോരു ജാതിക്കു നേരെ അയക്കും; എന്റെ ക്രോധം വഹിക്കുന്ന ജനത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി ഞാന് അവന്നു കല്പന കൊടുക്കും; അവരെ കൊള്ളയിടുവാനും കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്വാനും തെരുവീഥിയിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളവാനും തന്നേ.

6. I will send him against an ungodly nation, and against the people of My wrath. I will command him to plunder, and to strip off spoil, and to trample them like the mud of the streets.

7. അവനോ അങ്ങനെയല്ല നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതു; തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് അങ്ങനെയല്ല വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു; നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും അനേകം ജാതികളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളവാനുമത്രേ അവന്റെ താല്പര്യം.

7. Yet he does not purpose this, nor does his heart think so. For it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.

8. അവന് പറയുന്നതുഎന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരല്ലയോ?

8. For he says, Are not my commanders all like kings?

9. കല്നോ കര്ക്കെമീശിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ഹമാത്ത് അര്പ്പാദിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ശമര്യ്യ ദമ്മേശെക്കിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ?

9. Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is Hamath not like Arpad? Is Samaria not like Damascus?

10. യെരൂശലേമിലും ശമര്യ്യയിലും ഉള്ളവയെക്കാള് വിശേഷമായ ബിംബങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ കൈ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കെ,

10. As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols (for their carved images excelled Jerusalem's and Samaria's);

11. ഞാന് ശമര്യ്യയോടും അതിലെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിനോടും അതിലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്കയില്ലയോ?

11. shall I not do to Jerusalem and her idols as I have done to Samaria and her idols?

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു കര്ത്താവു സീയോന് പര്വ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയൊക്കെയും തീര്ത്തശേഷം, ഞാന് അശ്ശൂര് രാജാവിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തെയും അവന്റെ ഉന്നതഭാവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയെയും സന്ദര്ശിക്കും.

12. And it will be, when the Lord has broken off all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will visit on the fruit of the proud heart of the king of Assyria, and on the glory of his lofty eyes.

13. എന്റെ കയ്യുടെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടും എന്റെ ജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടും ഞാന് ഇതു ചെയ്തു; ഞാന് ബുദ്ധിമാന് ; ഞാന് ജാതികളുടെ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുകയും അവരുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളെ കവര്ന്നുകളകയും പരാക്രമിയെപ്പോലെ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥന്മാരെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. For he says, I have worked by the strength of my hand and by my wisdom; for I am wise. And I take away the borders of peoples, and have robbed their treasures. And like a mighty one, I put down ones living in it.

14. എന്റെ കൈ ജാതികളുടെ ധനത്തെ ഒരു പക്ഷിക്കൂടിനെപ്പോലെ എത്തിപ്പടിച്ചു; ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ മുട്ടകളെ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഞാന് സര്വ്വഭൂമിയെയും കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തു; ചിറകു അനക്കുകയോ ചുണ്ടു തുറക്കുകയോ ചിലെക്കുകയോ ചെയ്വാന് ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

14. And my hand has found the riches of the people. Like a nest, I also have gathered all the earth, as forsaken eggs are gathered. And there was not one moving a wing, or opening a mouth, or one chirping.

15. വെട്ടുന്നവനോടു കോടാലി വമ്പു പറയുമോ? വലിക്കുന്നവനോടു ഈര്ച്ചവാള് വലിപ്പം കാട്ടുമോ? അതോ, പിടിക്കുന്നവനെ വടി പൊക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും മരമല്ലാത്തവനെ കോല് പൊന്തിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

15. Shall the axe glorify itself over him chopping with it? Or shall the saw magnify itself over him moving it? As if a rod could wave those who lift it. As if a staff could raise what is not wood!

16. അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു അവന്റെ പുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് ക്ഷയം അയക്കും; അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന് കീഴെ തീ കത്തുംപോലെ ഒന്നു കത്തും.

16. So the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts shall send leanness among his fat ones. And under His glory will kindle a burning like the burning of fire.

17. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ഒരു തീയായും അവന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന് ഒരു ജ്വാലയായും ഇരിക്കും; അതു കത്തി, ഒരു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ മുള്ളും പറക്കാരയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

17. And the Light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it shall burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day.

18. അവന് അവന്റെ കാട്ടിന്റെയും തോട്ടത്തിന്റെയും മഹത്വത്തെ ദേഹിദേഹവുമായി നശിപ്പിക്കും; അതു ഒരു രോഗി ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുന്നതു പോലെയിരിക്കും.

18. And He shall consume the glory of his forest and his fruitful field, even from soul to flesh; and it shall be as a sick man melts away.

19. അവന്റെ കാട്ടില് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങള് ചുരുക്കം ആയിരിക്കും; ഒരു ബാലന്നു അവയെ എണ്ണി എഴുതാം.

19. And the rest of the trees of the forest shall be few, so that a boy might write them.

20. അന്നാളില് യിസ്രായേലില് ശേഷിച്ചവരും യാക്കോബ്ഗൃഹത്തിലെ രക്ഷിതഗണവും തങ്ങളെ അടിച്ചവനെ ഇനി ആശ്രയിക്കാതെ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ യഹോവയെ പരമാര്ത്ഥമായി ആശ്രയിക്കും.

20. And it shall be in that day, the remnant of Israel, and the escaped ones from the house of Jacob, shall not any more lean on him who struck him. But they will truly lean on Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel.

21. ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മടങ്ങിവരും (ശെയാര്-യാശൂബ്); യാക്കോബിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പു വീരനാം ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരും.

21. The remnant shall return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

22. യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ജനം കടല്ക്കരയിലെ മണല്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നാലും അതില് ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മാത്രം മടങ്ങിവരും; നീതിയെ പ്രവഹിക്കുന്നതായോരു സംഹാരം നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
റോമർ 9:27-28

22. For though Your people Israel is like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of it shall return; a decisive end, overflowing with righteousness.

23. എങ്ങനെ എന്നാല് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു സര്വ്വഭൂമിയുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ട സംഹാരം വരുത്തും.
റോമർ 9:27-28

23. For the Lord Jehovah of Hosts is making a full end, even ordained, in the midst of all the land.

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുസീയോനില് വസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനമേ, അശ്ശൂര് വടികൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ അടിക്കയും മിസ്രയീമിലെ വിധത്തില് നിന്റെ നേരെ ചൂരല് ഔങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്താലും നീ അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

24. So the Lord Jehovah of Hosts says this: Oh My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear Assyria. He shall strike you with the rod, and he shall lift up his staff against you in the way of Egypt.

25. ഇനി കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്റെ ക്രോധവും അവരുടെ സംഹാരത്തോടെ എന്റെ കോപവും തിര്ന്നു പോകും.

25. But yet a little while, and the fury is finished; and My anger shall be over their destruction.

26. ഔറേബ് പാറെക്കരികെ വെച്ചുള്ള മിദ്യാന്റെ സംഹാരത്തില് എന്നപോലെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അവന്റെ നേരെ ഒരു ചമ്മട്ടിയെ പൊക്കും; അവന് തന്റെ വടി സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേല് നീട്ടും; മിസ്രയീമില് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അതിനെ ഔങ്ങും.

26. And Jehovah of Hosts shall stir up a whip on him, according to the striking of Midian at the rock Oreb; and as His rod was on the sea, and He lifted it up in the way of Egypt.

27. അന്നാളില് അവന്റെ ചുമടു നിന്റെ തോളില്നിന്നും അവന്റെ നുകം നിന്റെ കഴുത്തില് നിന്നും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകും; പുഷ്ടിനിമിത്തം നുകം തകര്ന്നുപോകും.

27. And it shall be in that day, his burden shall turn away from on your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

28. അവന് അയ്യാത്തില് എത്തി, മിഗ്രോനില്കൂടി കടന്നു; മിക്മാശില് തന്റെ പടക്കോപ്പു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

28. He has come to Aiath; he has passed to Migron; he has left his baggage at Michmash.

29. അവര് ചുരം കടന്നു; ഗേബയില് രാപാര്ത്തു; റാമാ നടുങ്ങുന്നു; ശൌലിന്റെ ഗിബെയാ ഔടിപ്പോയി.

29. They have crossed the ford; they have bedded down at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul has fled.

30. ഗല്ലീംപുത്രീ, ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിക്ക; ലയേശേ, ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേള്ക്ക; അനാഥോത്തേ, ഉത്തരം പറക.

30. Shriek with your voice, daughter of ruins; bow, Laish, afflicted of Anathoth.

31. മദ്മേനാ ഔട്ടം തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഗെബീംനിവാസികള് ഔട്ടത്തിന്നു വട്ടംകൂട്ടുന്നു.

31. Madmenah wanders; those living in Gebim take refuge.

32. ഇന്നു അവന് നോബില് താമസിക്കും; യെരൂശലേംഗിരിയായ സീയോന് പുത്രിയുടെ പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ നേരെ അവന് കൈ കുലുക്കുന്നു.

32. Yet he remains in Nob today; he will shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

33. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു കൊമ്പുകളെ ഭയങ്കരമായി മുറിച്ചുകളയും; പൊക്കത്തില് വളര്ന്നവയെ അവന് വെട്ടിയിടുകയും ഉയര്ന്നവയെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

33. Behold, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, shall lop the bough of terror! And the lofty ones shall be cut down, and the proud shall be humbled.

34. അവന് വനത്തിലെ പള്ളക്കാടുകളെ ഇരിമ്പായുധംകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; ലെബാനോനും ബലവാന്റെ കയ്യാല് വീണുപോകും.

34. And He shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
