1. സോരിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രവാചകംതര്ശീശ് കപ്പലുകളേ, മുറയിടുവിന് ; ഒരു വീടും ശേഷിക്കാതവണ്ണവും പ്രവേശനം ഇല്ലാതവണ്ണവും അതു ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; കിത്തീംദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവര്ക്കും അറിവു കിട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
മത്തായി 11:21-22

1. The word about Tyre. Let a cry of sorrow go up, O ships of Tarshish, because your strong place is made waste; on the way back from the land of Kittim the news is given to them.

2. സമുദ്രതീരനിവാസികളേ, മിണ്ടാതെയിരിപ്പിന് ; സമുദ്രസഞ്ചാരം ചെയ്യുന്ന സീദോന്യവര്ത്തകന്മാര് നിന്നെ പരിപൂര്ണ്ണയാക്കിയല്ലോ.

2. Send out a cry of grief, you men of the sea-land, traders of Zidon, who go over the sea, whose representatives are on great waters;

3. വലിയ വെള്ളത്തിന്മേല് സീഹോര്പ്രദേശത്തെ കൃഷിയും നീലനദിയിങ്കലെ കൊയ്ത്തും അതിന്നു ആദായമായ്വന്നു; അതു ജാതികളുടെ ചന്ത ആയിരുന്നു.

3. Who get in the seed of Shihor, whose wealth is the trade of the nations.

4. സീദോനേ, ലജ്ജിച്ചുകൊള്ക; എനിക്കു നോവു കിട്ടീട്ടില്ല, ഞാന് പ്രസവിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, ബാലന്മാരെ പോറ്റീട്ടില്ല, കന്യകമാരെ വളര്ത്തീട്ടുമില്ല എന്നു സമുദ്രം, സമുദ്രദുര്ഗ്ഗം തന്നേ, പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. Be shamed, O Zidon: for the sea, the strong place of the sea has said, I have not been with child, or given birth; I have not taken care of young men, or kept watch over the growth of virgins.

5. സോരിന്റെ വര്ത്തമാനം മിസ്രയീമില് എത്തുമ്പോള് അവര് ആ വര്ത്തമാനത്താല് ഏറ്റവും വ്യസനിക്കും.

5. When the news comes to Egypt they will be bitterly pained at the fate of Tyre.

6. തര്ശീശിലേക്കു കടന്നുചെല്ലുവിന് ; സമുദ്രതീരനിവാസികളേ, മുറയിടുവിന് .

6. Go over to Tarshish; give cries of sorrow, O men of the sea-land.

7. പുരാതനമായി പണ്ടേയുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉല്ലസിതനഗരം ഇതാകുന്നുവോ? സ്വന്തകാല് അതിനെ ദൂരത്തു പ്രവാസം ചെയ്വാന് വഹിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും.

7. Is this the town which was full of joy, whose start goes back to times long past, whose wanderings took her into far-off countries?

8. കിരീടം നലകുന്നതും വര്ത്തകന്മാര് പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വ്യാപാരികള് ഭൂമിയിലെ മഹാന്മാരുമായുള്ളതുമായ സോരിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അതു നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചതാര്?

8. By whom was this purposed against Tyre, the crowning town, whose traders are chiefs, whose business men are honoured in the land?

9. സകല മഹത്വത്തിന്റെയും ഗര്വ്വത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമഹാന്മാരെയും അപമാനിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അതു നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. It was the purpose of the Lord of armies to put pride to shame, to make sport of the glory of those who are honoured in the earth.

10. തര്ശീശ് പുത്രിയേ, ഇനി ബന്ധനമില്ലായ്കയാല് നീ നീലനദിപോലെ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തെ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുക.

10. Let your land be worked with the plough, O daughter of Tarshish; there is no longer any harbour.

11. അവന് സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേല് കൈ നീട്ടി, രാജ്യങ്ങളെ നടുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ കനാനെക്കുറിച്ചു അതിന്റെ കോട്ടകളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് കല്പനകൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു

11. His hand is stretched out over the sea, the kingdoms are shaking: the Lord has given orders about Canaan, to make waste its strong places.

12. ബലാല്ക്കാരം അനുഭവിച്ച കന്യകയായ സീദോന് പുത്രീ, ഇനി നീ ഉല്ലസിക്കയില്ല; എഴുന്നേറ്റു കിത്തീമിലേക്കു കടന്നുപോക; അവിടെയും നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു അവന് കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. And he said, There is no more joy for you, O crushed virgin daughter of Zidon: up! go over to Kittim; even there you will have no rest.

13. ഇതാ, കല്ദയരുടെ ദേശം! ഈ ജനം ഇല്ലാതെയായി; അശ്ശൂര് അതിനെ മരുമൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കായി നിയമിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കാവല്മാളികകളെ പണിതു അതിലെ അരമനകളെ ഇടിച്ചു, അതിനെ ശൂന്യകൂമ്പാരമാക്കിത്തീര്ത്തു.

14. തര്ശീശ് കപ്പലുകളേ, മുറയിടുവിന് ; നിങ്ങളുടെ കോട്ട ശൂന്യമായിപ്പോയല്ലോ.

14. Let a cry of sorrow go up, O ships of Tarshish: because your strong place is made waste.

15. അന്നാളില് സോര്, ഒരു രാജാവിന്റെ കാലത്തിന്നൊത്ത എഴുപതു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു മറന്നുകിടക്കും; എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു സോരിന്നു വേശ്യയുടെ പാട്ടുപോലെ സംഭവിക്കും

15. And it will be in that day that Tyre will go out of mind for seventy years, that is, the days of one king: after the end of seventy years it will be for Tyre as in the song of the loose woman.

16. മറന്നു കിടന്നിരുന്ന വേശ്യയേ, വീണയെടുത്തു പട്ടണത്തില് ചുറ്റിനടക്ക; നിന്നെ ഔര്മ്മ വരേണ്ടതിന്നു നല്ല രാഗം മീട്ടി വളരെ പാട്ടു പാടുക.

16. Take an instrument of music, go about the town, O loose woman who has gone out from the memory of man; make sweet melody with songs, so that you may come back to men's minds.

17. എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യഹോവ സോരിനെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കും; അപ്പോള് അതു തന്റെ ആദായത്തിന്നായി തിരിഞ്ഞു, ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലലോകരാജ്യങ്ങളോടും വേശ്യാവൃത്തി ചെയ്യും.

17. And it will be after the end of seventy years, that the Lord will have mercy on Tyre, and she will go back to her trade, acting as a loose woman with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.

18. എന്നാല് അതിന്റെ വ്യാപാരവും ആദായവും യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധം ആയിരിക്കും; അതിനെ നിക്ഷേപിക്കയോ സ്വരൂപിച്ചുവെക്കയോ ചെയ്കയില്ല; അതിന്റെ വ്യാപാരം യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് വസിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും മതിയായ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നും മോടിയുള്ള ഉടുപ്പിനുമായി ഉതകും.

18. And her goods and her trade will be holy to the Lord: they will not be kept back or stored up; for her produce will be for those living in the Lord's land, to give them food for their needs, and fair clothing.
