1. ഒരു രാജാവു നീതിയോടെ വാഴും; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് ന്യായത്തോടെ അധികാരം നടത്തും.

1. Lo! the kyng schal regne in riytfulnesse, and princes schulen be souereyns in doom.

2. ഔരോരുത്തന് കാറ്റിന്നു ഒരു മറവും പിശറിന്നു ഒരു സങ്കേതവും ആയി വരണ്ട നിലത്തു നീര്ത്തോടുകള്പോലെയും ക്ഷീണമുള്ള ദേശത്തു ഒരു വമ്പാറയുടെ തണല്പോലെയും ഇരിക്കും.

2. And a man schal be, as he that is hid fro wynd, and hidith hym silf fro tempest; as stremes of watris in thirst, and the schadewe of a stoon stondynge fer out in a desert lond.

3. കാണുന്നവരുടെ കണ്ണു ഇനി മങ്ങുകയില്ല; കേള്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിക്കും.

3. The iyen of profetis schulen not dasewe, and the eeris of heereris schulen herke diligentli;

4. അവിവേകികളുടെ ഹൃദയം പരിജ്ഞാനം ഗ്രഹിക്കും; വിക്കന്മാരുടെ നാവു തടവില്ലാതെ വ്യക്തമായി സംസാരിക്കും.

4. and the herte of foolis schal vndurstonde kunnyng, and the tunge of stuttynge men schal speke swiftli, and pleynli.

5. ഭോഷനെ ഇനി ഉത്തമന് എന്നു വിളിക്കയില്ല; ആഭാസനെ മഹാത്മാവെന്നു പറകയുമില്ല.

5. He that is vnwijs, schal no more be clepid prince, and a gileful man schal not be clepid the grettere.

6. ഭോഷന് ഭോഷത്വം സംസാരിക്കും; വഷളത്വം ചെയ്തും യഹോവേക്കു വിരോധമായി അബദ്ധം സംസാരിച്ചും വിശപ്പുള്ളവരെ പട്ടിണിയിട്ടും ദാഹമുള്ളവര്ക്കും പാനം മുടക്കിയുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം നീതികേടും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കും.

6. Forsothe a fool shal speke foli thingis, and his herte schal do wickidnesse, that he performe feynyng, and speke to the Lord gilefuli; and he schal make voide the soule of an hungry man, and schal take awei drynke fro a thirsti man.

7. ആഭാസന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങളും ദോഷമുള്ളവ; ദരിദ്രന് ന്യായമായി സംസാരിച്ചാലും എളിയവരെ വ്യാജവാക്കുകൊണ്ടു നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് അവന് ദുരുപായങ്ങളെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.

7. The vessels of a gileful man ben worste; for he schal make redi thouytis to leese mylde men in the word of a leesyng, whanne a pore man spak doom.

8. ഉത്തമനോ ഉത്തമകാര്യങ്ങളെ ചിന്തിക്കന്നു; ഉത്തമകാര്യങ്ങളില് അവന് ഉറ്റുനിലക്കുന്നു.

8. Forsothe a prince schal thenke tho thingis that ben worthi to a prince, and he schal stonde ouer duykis.

9. സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്പ്പിന് ; ചിന്തയില്ലാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളേ, എന്റെ വചനം ശ്രദ്ധിപ്പിന് .

9. Riche wymmen, rise ye, and here my vois; douytris tristynge, perseyue ye with eeris my speche.

10. ചിന്തയില്ലാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളേ, ഒരാണ്ടും കുറെ നാളും കഴിയുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് നടുങ്ങിപ്പോകും; മുന്തിരിക്കൊയ്ത്തു നഷ്ടമാകും; ഫലശേഖരം ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

10. For whi aftir daies and a yeer, and ye that tristen schulen be disturblid; for whi vyndage is endid, gaderyng schal no more come.

11. സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളേ, വിറെപ്പിന് ; ചിന്തിയില്ലാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളേ, നടുങ്ങുവിന് ; വസ്ത്രം ഉരിഞ്ഞു നഗ്നമാരാകുവിന് ; അരയില് രട്ടു കെട്ടുവിന് .

11. Ye riche wymmen, be astonyed; ye that tristen, be disturblid; vnclothe ye you, and be ye aschamed;

12. മനോഹരമായ വയലുകളേയും ഫലപുഷ്ടിയുള്ള മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയേയും ഔര്ത്തു അവര് മാറത്തു അടിക്കും.

12. girde youre leendis; weile ye on brestis, on desirable cuntrei, on the plenteuouse vyner.

13. എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ദേശത്തു ഉല്ലസിതനഗരത്തിലെ സകലസന്തോഷഭവനങ്ങളിലും മുള്ളും പറക്കാരയും മുളെക്കും.

13. Thornes and breris schulen stie on the erthe of my puple; hou myche more on alle the housis of ioie of the citee makynge ful out ioie?

14. അരമന ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; ജനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ള നഗരം നിര്ജ്ജനമായിത്തീരും; കുന്നും കാവല്മാളികയും സദാകാലത്തേക്കും ഗുഹകളായി ഭവിക്കും; അവ കാട്ടുകഴുതകളുടെ സന്തോഷസ്ഥാനവും ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടങ്ങളുടെ മേച്ചല്പുറവും ആയിരിക്കും.

16. അന്നു മരുഭൂമിയില് ന്യായം വസിക്കും; ഉദ്യാനത്തില് നീതി പാര്ക്കും.

16. And doom schal dwelle in wildirnesse, and riytfulnesse schal sitte in Chermel;

17. നീതിയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി സമാധാനവും നീതിയുടെ ഫലം ശാശ്വതവിശ്രാമവും നിര്ഭയതയും ആയിരിക്കും.

18. എന്റെ ജനം സമാധാനനിവാസത്തിലും നിര്ഭയവസതികളിലും സ്വൈരമുള്ള വിശ്രാമസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും പാര്ക്കും.

18. And my puple schal sitte in the fairnesse of pees, and in the tabernaclis of trist, and in riche reste.

19. എന്നാല് വനത്തിന്റെ വീഴ്ചെക്കു കന്മഴ പെയ്കയും നഗരം അശേഷം നിലംപരിചാകയും ചെയ്യും.

19. But hail schal be in the coming doun of the foreste, and bi lownesse the citee schal be maad low.

20. വെള്ളത്തിന്നരികത്തെല്ലാം വിതെക്കയും കാളയെയും കഴുതയെയും അഴിച്ചുവിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരേ, നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഭാഗ്യം!
