1. സാഹസം അനുഭവിക്കാതെ സാഹസം ചെയ്കയും നിന്നോടു ആരും ദ്രോഹം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കാതെ ദ്രോഹം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവനേ, നിനക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! നീ സാഹസം ചെയ്യുന്നതു നിര്ത്തുമ്പോള് നിന്നെയും സാഹസം ചെയ്യും; നീ ദ്രോഹം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നതു മതിയാക്കുമ്പോള് നിന്നോടും ദ്രോഹം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കും.

1. Woe to thee that dost spoil, and thou [wast] not spoiled; and dost deal treacherously, and they did not deal treacherously with thee! When thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; [and] when thou shalt make an end to dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

2. യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കൃപയുണ്ടാകേണമേ; ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; രാവിലെതോറും നീ അവര്ക്കും ഭുജവും കഷ്ടകാലത്തു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു രക്ഷയും ആയിരിക്കേണമേ.

2. O LORD, have mercy on us; we wait for thee: [thou] wert the strength of thy people in the beginning, be also our saving health in the time of tribulation.

3. കോലാഹലം ഹേതുവായി വംശങ്ങള് ഔടിപ്പോയി; നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റപ്പോള് ജാതികള് ചിതറിപ്പോയി.

3. At the noise of the tumult the peoples fled; at the lifting up of thyself the Gentiles were scattered.

4. നിങ്ങളുടെ കവര്ച്ച തുള്ളന് ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ശേഖരിക്കപ്പെടും വെട്ടുക്കിളി ചാടി വീഴുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് അതിന്മേല് ചാടിവീഴും.

4. And your spoil shall be gathered [like] the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.

5. യഹോവ ഉന്നതനായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഉയരത്തിലല്ലോ അവന് വസിക്കുന്നതു; അവന് സീയോനെ ന്യായവും നീതിയുംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. The LORD shall be exalted; he who dwells on the heights: [for] he has filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

6. നിന്റെ കാലത്തു സ്ഥിരതയും രക്ഷാസമൃദ്ധിയും ജ്ഞാനവും പരിജ്ഞാനവും ഉണ്ടാകും; യഹോവാഭക്തി അവരുടെ നിക്ഷേപം ആയിരിക്കും.

6. And in thy times wisdom and knowledge, and the strength of salvation shall reign: the fear of the LORD [shall be] his treasure.

7. ഇതാ അവരുടെ ശൌര്യ്യവാന്മാര് പുറത്തു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ ദൂതന്മാര് അതിദുഃഖത്തോടെ കരയുന്നു.

7. Behold, their ambassadors shall cry without: the messengers of peace shall weep bitterly.

8. പെരുവഴികള് ശൂന്യമായ്ക്കിടക്കുന്നു; വഴി പോക്കര് ഇല്ലാതെയായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് ഉടമ്പടി ലംഘിച്ചു, പട്ടണങ്ങളെ നിന്ദിച്ചുഒരു മനുഷ്യനെയും അവന് ആദരിക്കുന്നില്ല.

8. The highways shall be broken down; the travellers shall cease; he has broken the covenant; he has despised the cities; he does not regard man.

9. ദേശം ദുഃഖിച്ചു ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു; ലെബാനോന് ലജ്ജിച്ചു വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു; ശാരോന് മരുഭൂമിപോലെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു; ബാശാനും കര്മ്മേലും ഇലപൊഴിക്കുന്നു.

9. The earth mourns [and] languishes: Lebanon is ashamed [and] hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel were shaken.

10. ഇപ്പോള് ഞാന് എഴുന്നേലക്കും; ഇപ്പോള് ഞാന് എന്നെത്തന്നേ ഉയര്ത്തും; ഇപ്പോള് ഞാന് ഉന്നതനായിരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

10. Now I will rise up, saith the LORD; now I will be exalted; now I will be lifted up.

11. നിങ്ങള് വൈക്കോലിനെ ഗര്ഭം ധരിച്ചു താളടിയെ പ്രസവിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ശ്വാസം തീയായിനിങ്ങളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

11. Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, [as] fire, shall devour you.

12. വംശങ്ങള് കുമ്മായം ചുടുന്നതുപോലെ ആകും; വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞ മുള്ളുപോലെ അവരെ തീയില് ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയും.

12. And the peoples shall be [as] the burnings of lime: [as] thorns cut up they shall be burned in the fire.

13. ദൂരസ്ഥന്മാരേ, ഞാന് ചെയ്തതു കേള്പ്പിന് ; സമീപസ്ഥന്മാരേ, എന്റെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികള് ഗ്രഹിപ്പിന് .

13. Hear, ye [that are] far off, what I have done; and, ye [that are] near, acknowledge my might.

14. സീയോനിലെ പാപികള് പേടിക്കുന്നു; വഷളന്മാരായവര്ക്കും നടുക്കം പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മില് ആര് ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തീയുടെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കും? നമ്മില് ആര് നിത്യദഹനങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കും?

14. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with eternal flames?

15. നീതിയായി നടന്നു നേര് പറകയും പീഡനത്താല് ഉള്ള ആദായം വെറുക്കയും കൈക്കൂലിവാങ്ങാതെ കൈ കുടഞ്ഞുകളകയും രക്ത പാതകത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കാതവണ്ണം ചെവി പൊത്തുകയും ദോഷത്തെ കണ്ടു രസിക്കാതവണ്ണം കണ്ണു അടെച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ;

15. He that walks in righteousness, he that speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of violence, he that shakes his hands from receiving bribes; he that stops his ears to not hear of blood; he who shuts his eyes to not see evil;

16. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവന് ഉയരത്തില് വസിക്കും; പാറക്കോട്ടകള് അവന്റെ അഭയസ്ഥാനമായിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ അപ്പം അവന്നു കിട്ടും;

16. he shall dwell upon the high places: fortresses of rocks shall be his place of refuge: bread shall be given him; his waters [shall be] sure.

17. അവന്നു വെള്ളം മുട്ടിപ്പോകയുമില്ല. നിന്റെ കണ്ണു രാജാവിനെ അവന്റെ സൌന്ദര്യത്തോടെ ദര്ശിക്കും; വിശാലമായോരു ദേശം കാണും.

17. Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

18. പണം എണ്ണുന്നവന് എവിടെ? തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നവന് എവിടെ? ഗോപുരങ്ങളെ എണ്ണുന്നവന് എവിടെ? എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഭീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചു ധ്യാനിക്കും.

18. Thine heart shall imagine the terror. Where [is] the scribe? Where [is] the receiver [of tribute]? Where [is] he that counted the towers?

19. നീ തിരിച്ചറിയാത്ത പ്രായസമുള്ള വാക്കും നിനക്കു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു കൂടാത്ത അന്യഭാഷയും ഉള്ള ഉഗ്രജാതിയെ നീ കാണുകയില്ല.

19. Thou shalt not see that fierce people, a people of a darker speech than thou can perceive; of a stammering tongue, [that thou can] not understand.

20. നമ്മുടെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളുടെ നഗരമായ സീയോനെ നോക്കുക; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു യെരൂശലേമിനെ സ്വൈരനിവാസമായും ഒരിക്കലും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകാത്തതും കുറ്റി ഒരുനാളും ഇളകിപ്പോകാത്തതും കയറു ഒന്നും പൊട്ടിപ്പോകാത്തതുമായ കൂടാരമായും കാണും.

20. Thou shalt see Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle [that] shall not be taken down; not one of its stakes shall ever be removed, neither shall any of its cords be broken.

21. അവിടെ മഹിമയുള്ളവനായ യഹോവ നമുക്കു വീതിയുള്ള നദികള്ക്കും തോടുകള്ക്കും പകരമായിരിക്കും; തണ്ടുവെച്ച പടകു അതില് നടക്കയില്ല; പ്രതാപമുള്ള കപ്പല് അതില്കൂടി കടന്നുപോകയുമില്ല.

21. For the LORD shall surely be strong unto us there, a place of broad rivers [and] wide streams in which no galley with oars shall go, neither shall [any] great ship pass thereby.

22. യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ ന്യായാധിപന് ; യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ ന്യായദാതാവു; യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ രാജാവു; അവന് നമ്മെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

22. For the LORD [shall be] our judge, the LORD [shall be] our lawgiver, the LORD shall be our king; he himself will save us.

23. നിന്റെ കയറു അഴിഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുന്നു; അതിനാല് പാമരത്തെ ചുവട്ടില് ഉറപ്പിച്ചുകൂടാ; പായ് നിവിര്ത്തുകൂടാ. പിടിച്ചു പറിച്ച വലിയ കൊള്ള അന്നു വിഭാഗിക്കപ്പെടും; മുടന്തരും കൊള്ളയിടും.

23. Thy tacklings are loosed; they did not strengthen well their mast, nor could they spread the sail: then the prey of a great spoil shall be divided; [even] the lame shall take prey.

24. എനിക്കു ദീനം എന്നു യാതൊരു നിവാസിയും പറകയില്ല; അതില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന ജനത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യം മോചിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

24. And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein [shall be] absolved from sin.:
