1. ദ്വീപുകളേ, എന്റെ മുമ്പില് മിണ്ടാതെ ഇരിപ്പിന് ; ജാതികള് ശക്തിയെ പുതുക്കട്ടെ; അവര് അടുത്തുവന്നു സംസാരിക്കട്ടെ; നാം തമ്മില് ന്യായവാദം ചെയ്യുന്നതിന്നു അടുത്തു വരിക.

1. Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the peoples renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak; let us come near together to judgment.

2. ചെല്ലുന്നെടത്തൊക്കെയും നീതി എതിരേലക്കുന്നവനെ കിഴക്കുനിന്നു ഉണര്ത്തിയതാര്? അവന് ജാതികളെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവനെ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ മേല് വാഴുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവരുടെ വാളിനെ അവന് പൊടിപോലെയും അവരുടെ വില്ലിനെ പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന താളടിപോലെയും ആക്കിക്കളയുന്നു.

2. Who hath raised up one from the east, whom he calleth in righteousness to his foot? he giveth nations before him, and maketh him rule over kings; he giveth them as the dust to his sword, as the driven stubble to his bow.

3. He pursueth them, and passeth on safely, even by a way that he had not gone with his feet.

4. Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, Jehovah, the first, and with the last, I am he.

6. They help every one his neighbor; and [every one] saith to his brother, Be of good courage.

7. അങ്ങനെ ആശാരി തട്ടാനെയും കൊല്ലന് കൂടം തല്ലുന്നവനെയും ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി കൂട്ടിവിളക്കുന്നതിന്നു ചേലായി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു, ഇളകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് അതിനെ ആണികൊണ്ടു ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

7. So the carpenter encourageth the goldsmith, [and] he that smootheth with the hammer him that smiteth the anvil, saying of the soldering, It is good; and he fasteneth it with nails, that it should not be moved.

8. But thou, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend,

9. thou whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called from the corners thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee and not cast thee away;

10. Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

11. നിന്നോടു കോപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിച്ചു അമ്പരന്നുപോകും; നിന്നോടു വിവാദിക്കുന്നവര് നശിച്ചു ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.

11. Behold, all they that are incensed against thee shall be put to shame and confounded: they that strive with thee shall be as nothing, and shall perish.

12. നിന്നോടു പോരാടുന്നവരെ നീ അന്വേഷിക്കും; കാണുകയില്ലതാനും; നിന്നോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നവര് നാസ്തിത്വവും ഇല്ലായ്മയുംപോലെ ആകും.

12. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contend with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

13. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന ഞാന് നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ പിടിച്ചു നിന്നോടുഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

13. For I, Jehovah thy God, will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

14. പുഴുവായ യാക്കോബേ, യിസ്രായേല്പരിഷയേ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഞാന് നിന്നെ സഹായിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന് തന്നേ.

14. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Jehovah, and thy Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

15. ഇതാ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ പുതിയതും മൂര്ച്ചയുള്ളതും പല്ലേറിയതും ആയ മെതിവണ്ടിയാക്കി തീര്ക്കുംന്നു; നീ പര്വ്വതങ്ങളെ മെതിച്ചു പൊടിക്കുകയും കുന്നുകളെ പതിര്പോലെ ആക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

15. Behold, I have made thee [to be] a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth; thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

16. നീ അവയെ പാറ്റും; കാറ്റു അവയെ പറപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകും; ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു അവയെ ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും; നീയോ യഹോവയില് ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനില് പുകഴും.

16. Thou shalt winnow them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them; and thou shalt rejoice in Jehovah, thou shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

17. എളിയവരും ദരിദ്രന്മാരുമായവര് വെള്ളം തിരഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്നു; ഒട്ടും കിട്ടായ്കയാല് അവരുടെ നാവു ദാഹംകൊണ്ടു വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. യഹോവയായ ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ഉത്തരം അരുളും; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ ഞാന് അവരെ കൈവിടുകയില്ല.

17. The poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst; I, Jehovah, will answer them, I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

18. ഞാന് പാഴ്മലകളില് നദികളെയും താഴ്വരകളുടെ നടുവില് ഉറവുകളെയും തുറക്കും; മരുഭൂമിയെ ഞാന് നീര്പൊയ്കയും വരണ്ട നിലത്തെ നീരുറവുകളും ആക്കും.

18. I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

19. ഞാന് മരുഭൂമിയില് ദേവദാരു, ഖദിരമരം, കൊഴുന്തു, ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷം എന്നിവ നടും; ഞാന് നിര്ജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു സരളവൃക്ഷവും പയിന് മരവും പുന്നയും വെച്ചുപിടിപ്പിക്കും.

19. I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, and the myrtle, and the oil-tree; I will set in the desert the fir-tree, the pine, and the box-tree together:

20. യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അതു ചെയ്തു എന്നും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന് അതു സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു എന്നും അവരെല്ലാവരും കണ്ടു അറിഞ്ഞു വിചാരിച്ചു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

20. that they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of Jehovah hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

21. നിങ്ങളുടെ വ്യവഹാരം കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായങ്ങളെ കാണിപ്പിന് എന്നു യാക്കോബിന്റെ രാജാവു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

21. Produce your cause, saith Jehovah; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

22. സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു അവര് കാണിച്ചു നമ്മോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; നാം വിചാരിച്ചു അതിന്റെ അവസാനം അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദ്യകാര്യങ്ങള് ഇന്നിന്നവയെന്നു അവര് പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; അല്ലെങ്കില് സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു നമ്മെ കേള്പ്പിക്കട്ടെ.

22. Let them bring forth, and declare unto us what shall happen: declare ye the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or show us things to come.

23. നിങ്ങള് ദേവന്മാര് എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു മേലാല് വരുവാനുള്ളതു പ്രസ്താവിപ്പിന് ; ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടു വിസ്മയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നന്മയെങ്കിലും തിന്മയെങ്കിലും പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പിന് .

23. Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

24. നിങ്ങള് ഇല്ലായ്മയും നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി നാസ്തിയും ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങളെ വരിക്കുന്നവന് കുത്സിതനത്രേ.

24. Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work is of nought; an abomination is he that chooseth you.

25. ഞാന് ഒരുത്തനെ വടക്കുനിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അവന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; സൂര്യോദയദിക്കില് നിന്നു അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അവന് എന്റെ നാമത്തെ ആരാധിക്കും; അവര് വന്നു ചെളിയെപ്പോലെയും കുശവന് കളിമണ്ണു ചവിട്ടുന്നതുപോലെയും ദേശാധിപതികളെ ചവിട്ടും.

25. I have raised up one from the north, and he is come; from the rising of the sun one that calleth upon my name: and he shall come upon rulers as upon mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.

26. ഞങ്ങള് അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദിമുതലും അവന് നീതിമാന് എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് പറയേണ്ടതിന്നു പണ്ടേയും ആര് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളു? പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാനോ കാണിച്ചുതരുവാനോ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു കേള്പ്പാനോ ആരും ഇല്ല.

26. Who hath declared it from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, [He is] right? yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that showeth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.

27. ഞാന് ആദ്യനായി സീയോനോടുഇതാ, ഇതാ, അവര് വരുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്നു ഞാന് ഒരു സുവാര്ത്താദൂതനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

27. [I am the] first [that saith] unto Zion, Behold, behold them; and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.

28. ഞാന് നോക്കിയാറെഒരുത്തനുമില്ല; ഞാന് ചോദിച്ചാറെ; ഉത്തരം പറവാന് അവരില് ഒരു ആലോചനക്കാരനും ഇല്ല.

28. And when I look, there is no man: even among them there is no counsellor, that, when I ask of them, can answer a word.

29. അവരെല്ലാവരും വ്യാജമാകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള് നാസ്തിയത്രേ; അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള് കാറ്റും ശൂന്യവും തന്നേ.

29. Behold, all of them, their works are vanity [and] nought; their molten images are wind and confusion.
