1. യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന് മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവ ബാബേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചും കല്ദയദേശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും കല്പിച്ച അരുളപ്പാടു

1. About the Ammonites, this is what the LORD says: Does Israel have no sons? Is he without an heir? Why then has Milcomdispossessed Gad and his people settled in their cities?

2. ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുവിന് ; കൊടി ഉയര്ത്തുവിന് ; മറെച്ചുവെക്കാതെ ഘോഷിപ്പിന് ; ബാബേല് പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ബേല് ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോയി, മേരോദാക് തകര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള് ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോയി, അതിലെ ബിംബങ്ങള് തകര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറവിന് .

2. Therefore look, the days are coming-- [this is] the LORD's declaration-- when I will make the shout of battle heard against Rabbah of the Ammonites. It will become a desolate mound, and its villages will be burned down. Israel will dispossess their dispossessors, says the LORD.

3. Wail, Heshbon, for Ai is devastated; cry out, daughters of Rabbah! Clothe yourselves with sackcloth, and lament; run back and forth within your walls, because Milcom will go into exile together with his priests and officials.

4. Why do you brag about your valleys, your flowing valley, you faithless daughter? You who trust in your treasures [and boast]: Who can attack me?

5. Look, I am about to bring terror on you-- [this is] the declaration of the Lord, the God of Hosts-- from all those around you. You will be banished, each man headlong, with no one to gather up the fugitives.

6. എന്റെ ജനം കാണാതെപോയ ആടുകള് ആയീത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഇടയന്മാര് അവരെ തെറ്റിച്ചു മലകളില് ഉഴന്നുനടക്കുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് മലയില്നിന്നു കുന്നിന്മേല് പോയി തങ്ങളുടെ കിടപ്പിടം മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

6. But after that, I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites. [This is] the LORD's declaration.

7. അവരെ കാണുന്നവരൊക്കെയും അവരെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; അവരുടെ വൈരികള്നാം കുറ്റം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; അവര് നീതിനിവാസമായ യഹോവയോടു, അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ പ്രത്യാശയായ യഹോവയോടു തന്നേ, പാപം ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. About Edom, this is what the LORD of Hosts says: Is there no longer wisdom in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom rotted away?

8. ബാബേലില്നിന്നു ഔടി കല്ദയദേശം വിട്ടു പോകുവിന് ; ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തിന്നു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുന്ന മുട്ടാടുകളെപ്പോലെ ആയിരിപ്പിന് .

8. Run! Turn back! Lie low, residents of Dedan, for I will bring Esau's calamity on him at the time I punish him.

9. ഞാന് ബാബേലിന്റെ നേരെ വടക്കെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു മഹാജാതികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തെ ഉണര്ത്തി വരുത്തും; അവര് അതിന്റെ നേരെ അണി നിരത്തും; അവിടെവെച്ചു അതു പിടിക്കപ്പെടും; അവരുടെ അമ്പുകള് വെറുതെ മടങ്ങാതെ സമര്ത്ഥവീരന്റെ അമ്പുകള് പോലെ ഇരിക്കും.

9. If grape harvesters came to you, wouldn't they leave some gleanings? Were thieves to come in the night, they would destroy only what they wanted.

10. കല്ദയദേശം കൊള്ളയിട്ടുപോകും; അതിനെ കൊള്ളയിടുന്നവര്ക്കും ഏവര്ക്കും തൃപ്തിവരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

10. But I will strip Esau bare; I will uncover his secret places. He will try to hide himself, but he will be unable. His descendants will be destroyed along with his relatives and neighbors. He will exist no longer.

11. എന്റെ അവകാശം കൊള്ളയിട്ടവരേ, നിങ്ങള് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, നിങ്ങള് ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, ധാന്യം മെതിക്കുന്ന പശുക്കിടാവിനെപ്പോലെ തുള്ളിക്കളിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, ബലമുള്ള കുതിരയെപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങള് ചിറാലിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു,

11. Abandon your orphans; I will preserve them; let your widows trust in Me.

12. നിങ്ങളുടെ അമ്മ ഏറ്റവും ലജ്ജിക്കും നിങ്ങളെ പ്രസവിച്ചവള് നാണിച്ചുപോകും; അവള് ജാതികളില് അന്ത്യജാതിയും മരുഭൂമിയും വരണ്ട നിലവും ശൂന്യദേശവും ആകും.

12. For this is what the LORD says: If those who do not deserve to drink the cup must drink it, can you possibly remain unpunished? You will not remain unpunished, for you must drink [it] too.

13. യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം ഹേതുവായി അതു നിവാസികള് ഇല്ലാതെ അശേഷം ശൂന്യമായിത്തീരും; ബാബേലിന്നരികത്തു കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവരും സ്തംഭിച്ചു അതിന്റെ സകല ബാധകളും നിമിത്തം ചൂളുകുത്തും.

13. For by Myself I have sworn'-- the LORD's declaration-- 'Bozrah will become a desolation, a disgrace, a ruin, and a curse, and all her cities will become ruins forever.'

14. ബാബേലിന്റെ നേരെ ചുറ്റം അണിനിരത്തുവിന് ; എല്ലാ വില്ലാളികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, അമ്പുകളെ ലോഭിക്കാതെ അതിലേക്കു എയ്തുവിടുവിന് ; അതു യഹോവയോടു പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

14. I have heard a message from the LORD; an envoy has been sent among the nations: Assemble yourselves to come against her. Rise up for war!

15. അതിന്നുചുറ്റും നിന്നു ആര്പ്പിടുവിന് ; അതു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ കൊത്തളങ്ങള് വീണുപോയി; അതിന്റെ മതിലുകള് ഇടിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതു യഹോവയുടെ പ്രതികാരമല്ലോ; അതിനോടു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്വിന് ; അതു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അതിനോടും ചെയ്വിന് .

15. Look, I will certainly make you insignificant among the nations, despised among humanity.

16. As to the terror you cause, your presumptuous heart has deceived you. You who live in the clefts of the rock, you who occupy the mountain summit, though you elevate your nest like the eagle, even from there I will bring you down. [This is] the LORD's declaration.

17. യിസ്രായേല് ചിന്നിപ്പോയ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടം ആകുന്നു; സിംഹങ്ങള് അതിനെ ഔടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; ആദ്യം അശ്ശൂര്രാജാവു അതിനെ തിന്നു; ഒടുക്കം ഇപ്പോള് ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസര് അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

17. 'Edom will become a desolation. Everyone who passes by her will be horrified and scoff because of all her wounds.

18. As when Sodom and Gomorrah were overthrown along with their neighbors,' says the LORD, 'no one will live there; no human being will even stay in it as a resident alien.

19. പിന്നെ ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിനെ അവന്റെ മേച്ചല്പുറത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തും; അവന് കര്മ്മേലിലും ബാശാനിലും മേഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും; എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിലും ഗിലെയാദിലും മേഞ്ഞു അവന്നു തൃപ്തിവരും.

19. Look, it will be like a lion coming up from the thickets of the Jordan to the perennially watered grazing land. Indeed, I will chase Edom away from her [land] in a flash. I will appoint whoever is chosen for her. For who is like Me? Who will summon Me? Who is the shepherd who can stand against Me?'

20. ഞാന് ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവരോടു ക്ഷമിക്കയാല് ആ നാളുകളില് ആ കാലത്തു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അകൃത്യം അന്വേഷിച്ചാല് അതു ഇല്ലാതെ ഇരിക്കും; യെഹൂദയുടെ പാപങ്ങള് അന്വേഷിച്ചാല് കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

20. Therefore, hear the plans that the LORD has drawn up against Edom and the strategies He has devised against the people of Teman: The flock's little lambs will certainly be dragged away, and their grazing land will be made desolate because of them.

21. ദ്വിമത്സരം (മെറാഥയീം) എന്ന ദേശത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ചെല്ലുക; അതിന്റെ നേരെയും സന്ദര്ശനം (പെക്കോദ്) എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലെ നിവാസികളുടെ നേരെയും തന്നേ; നീ അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു വെട്ടി നിര്മ്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തി ഞാന് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്ക എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

21. At the sound of their fall the earth will quake; the sound of her cry will be heard at the Red Sea.

22. യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ ആരവവും മഹാസംഹാരവും ദേശത്തില് ഉണ്ടു.

22. Look! It will be like an eagle soaring upward, then swooping down and spreading its wings over Bozrah. In that day the hearts of Edom's warriors will be like the heart of a woman with contractions.

23. സര്വ്വഭൂമിയുടെയും ചുറ്റിക പിളര്ന്നു തകര്ന്നുപോയതെങ്ങനെ? ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ബാബേല് ശൂന്യമായിത്തീര്ന്നതെങ്ങനെ?

23. About Damascus: Hamath and Arpad are put to shame, for they have heard a bad report and are agitated; in the sea there is anxiety that cannot be calmed.

24. ബാബേലേ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു കണിവെച്ചു, നീ അറിയാതെ അകപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തി പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയോടല്ലോ നീ പൊരുതിയതു.

24. Damascus has become weak; she has turned to run; panic has gripped her. Distress and labor pains have seized her like a woman in labor.

25. യഹോവ തന്റെ ആയുധശാല തുറന്നു തന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങളെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്നു കല്ദയദേശത്തു ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്വാനുണ്ടു.

25. How can the city of praise not be abandoned, the town that brings Me joy?

26. സകലദിക്കുകളിലും നിന്നു അതിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു അതിന്റെ കളപ്പുരകളെ തുറപ്പിന് ; അതിനെ കറ്റപോലെ കൂമ്പാരം കൂട്ടുവിന് ; അതില് ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കാതെ നിര്മ്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തുവിന് ;

26. Therefore, her young men will fall in her public squares; all the warriors will be silenced in that day. [This is] the declaration of the LORD of Hosts.

27. അതിലെ കാളയെ ഒക്കെയും കൊല്ലുവിന് ; അവ കുലെക്കു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോകട്ടെ; അവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; അവരുടെ നാള്, അവരുടെ സന്ദര്ശനകാലം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. I will set fire to the wall of Damascus; it will devour Ben-hadad's citadels.

28. നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രതികാരം, തന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള പ്രതികാരം തന്നേ, സീയോനില് അറിയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ബാബേല്ദേശത്തുനിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു ഔടിപ്പോകുന്നവരുടെ ഘോഷം!

28. About Kedar and the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon's king, defeated, this is what the LORD says: Rise up, go against Kedar, and destroy the people of the east!

29. ബാബേലിന്റെ നേരെ വില്ലാളികളെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടുവിന് ; വില്ലു കുലെക്കുന്ന ഏവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, അതിന്റെ നേരെ ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങുവിന് ; ആരും അതില് നിന്നു ചാടിപ്പോകരുതു; അതിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അതിന്നു പകരം കൊടുപ്പിന് ; അതു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അതിനോടും ചെയ്വിന് ; അതു യഹോവയോടു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനോടു തന്നേ, അഹങ്കാരം കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

29. They will take their tents and their flocks along with their tent curtains and all their equipment. They will take their camels for themselves. They will call out to them: Terror is on every side!

30. അതുകൊണ്ടു അതിലെ യൌവനക്കാര് അതിന്റെ വീഥികളില് വീഴും; അതിലെ യോദ്ധാക്കാള് ഒക്കെയും അന്നു നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

30. Run! Escape quickly! Lie low, residents of Hazor-- [this is] the LORD's declaration-- for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has drawn up a plan against you; he has devised a strategy against you.

31. അഹങ്കാരിയോ, ഞാന് നിനക്കു വിരോധിയായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു; നിന്റെ നാള്, ഞാന് നിന്നെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കുന്ന കാലം, വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

31. Rise up, go up against a nation at ease, one living in security. [This is] the LORD's declaration. They have no doors, not even a gate bar; they live alone.

32. അഹങ്കാരി ഇടറി വീഴും; ആരും അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കയില്ല; ഞാന് അവന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങള്ക്കു തീ വേക്കും; അതു അവന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള എല്ലാവരെയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

32. Their camels will become plunder, and their massive herds of cattle will become spoil. I will scatter them to the wind in every direction, those who shave their temples; I will bring calamity on them across all their borders. [This is] the LORD's declaration.

33. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേല്മക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും ഒരുപോലെ പീഡിതരായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയവരൊക്കെയും അവരെ വിട്ടയപ്പാന് മനസ്സില്ലാതെ മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു.

33. Hazor will become a jackals' den, a desolation forever. No one will live there; no human being will even stay in it as a resident alien.

34. എന്നാല് അവരുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരന് ശക്തിമാന് ; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നാകുന്നു അവന്റെ നാമം; ഭൂമിക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും ബാബേല്നിവാസികള്ക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും അവരുടെ വ്യവഹാരം അവന് ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ നടത്തും.

34. [This is] the word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet about Elam at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah.

35. കല്ദയരുടെ മേലും ബാബേല്നിവാസികളുടെമേലും അതിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ മേലും ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ മേലും വാള് വരുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

35. This is what the LORD of Hosts says: I am about to shatter Elam's bow, the source of their might.

36. വമ്പു പറയുന്നവര് ഭോഷന്മാരാകത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരുടെ മേല് വാള് വരും; അതിലെ വീരന്മാര് ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരുടെ മേലും വാള് വരും.

36. I will bring the four winds against Elam from the four corners of the heavens, and I will scatter them to all these winds. There will not be a nation to which Elam's banished ones will not go.

37. I will devastate Elam before their enemies, before those who want to take their lives. I will bring disaster on them, My burning anger. [This is] the LORD's declaration. I will send the sword after them until I finish them off.

38. അതിലെ വെള്ളം വറ്റിപ്പോകത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് അതിന്മേല് വറുതി വരുത്തും; അതു വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ ദേശമല്ലോ; ഘോരബിംബങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം അവര് ഭ്രന്തന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു.

38. I will set My throne in Elam, and I will destroy the king and officials from there. [This is] the LORD's declaration.

39. ആകയാല് അവിടെ മരുമൃഗങ്ങള് കുറുനരികളോടുകൂടെ പാര്ക്കും; ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷിയും അവിടെ വസിക്കും; ഇനി അതില് ഒരു നാളും കുടിപാര്പ്പുണ്ടാകയില്ല; തലമുറതലമുറയായി അതു നിവാസികള് ഇല്ലാതെ കിടക്കും.

39. In the last days, I will restore the fortunes of Elam. [This is] the LORD's declaration.
