1. ഞാന് അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ വടികൊണ്ടു കഷ്ടം കണ്ട പുരുഷനാകുന്നു.

1. I am the man who has been suffering because of the power of God's anger.

2. അവന് എന്നെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലല്ല, ഇരുട്ടിലത്രേ നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടു പോന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

2. He has led me and brought me into darkness and not into light.

3. അതേ, അവന് ഇടവിടാതെ പിന്നെയും പിന്നെയും തന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ നേരെ തിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. For sure He has turned His hand against me again and again all day long.

4. എന്റെ മാംസത്തെയും ത്വക്കിനെയും അവന് ജീര്ണ്ണമാക്കി, എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ തകര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. He has made my flesh and my skin waste away. He has broken my bones.

5. അവന് എന്റെ നേരെ പിണിതു, നഞ്ചും പ്രയാസവും എന്നെ ചുറ്റുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. He has shut me in with trouble and suffering.

6. ശാശ്വതമൃതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവന് എന്നെ ഇരുട്ടില് പാര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. He has made me live in dark places, like those who have been dead a long time.

7. പുറത്തു പോകുവാന് കഴിയാതവണ്ണം അവന് എന്നെ വേലികെട്ടിയടച്ചു എന്റെ ചങ്ങലയെ ഭാരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. He has put a wall around me so that I cannot go out. He has put heavy chains on me.

8. ഞാന് ക്കുകി നിലവിളിച്ചാലും അവന് എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന തടുത്തുകളയുന്നു.

8. Even when I cry and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.

9. വെട്ടുകല്ലുകൊണ്ടു അവന് എന്റെ വഴി അടെച്ചു, എന്റെ പാതകളെ വികടമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. He has stopped me with blocks of stone. He has made my paths no longer straight.

10. അവന് എനിക്കു പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന കരടിയെപ്പോലെയും മറഞ്ഞുനിലക്കുന്ന സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

10. He is like a bear lying in wait, like a lion hiding in secret places.

11. അവന് എന്റെ വഴികളെ തെറ്റിച്ചു എന്നെ കടിച്ചുകീറി ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. He has turned me from the path and torn me to pieces. He has destroyed me.

12. അവന് വില്ലു കുലെച്ചു എന്നെ അമ്പിന്നു ലാക്കാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. He used His bow, and set me as a mark for His arrow.

13. അവന് തന്റെ പൂണിയിലെ അമ്പുകളെ എന്റെ അന്തരംഗങ്ങളില് തറെപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. He has taken out His arrows and sent them into my heart.

14. ഞാന് എന്റെ സര്വ്വജനത്തിന്നും പരിഹാസവും ഇടവിടാതെ അവരുടെ പാട്ടും ആയിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. All my people laugh at me. They sing songs that make fun of me all day long.

15. അവന് എന്നെ കൈപ്പുകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു, കാഞ്ഞിരംകൊണ്ടു മത്തുപിടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

15. He has filled me with bitter feelings. He has made me drunk with wormwood.

16. അവന് കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ പല്ലു തകര്ത്തു, എന്നെ വെണ്ണീരില് ഇട്ടുരുട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. He has broken my teeth with rocks, and has covered me with dust.

17. നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ സമാധാനത്തില്നിന്നു നീക്കി; ഞാന് സുഖം മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. Peace has left my soul. I have forgotten what it is like to be happy.

18. എന്റെ മഹത്വവും യഹോവയിങ്കലുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയും പൊയ്പോയല്ലോ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

18. So I say, 'My strength is gone, and so has my hope from the Lord.'

19. നീ എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയും അരിഷ്ടതയും കാഞ്ഞിരവും കൈപ്പും ഔര്ക്കേണമേ.

19. Remember my trouble and my traveling from place to place, the wormwood and bitter feelings.

20. എന്റെ പ്രാണന് എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് എപ്പോഴും അവയെ ഔര്ത്തു ഉരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. I remember it always, and my soul bows down within me.

21. ഇതു ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കും; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് പ്രത്യാശിക്കും.

21. But this I remember, and so I have hope.

22. നാം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നതു യഹോവയുടെ ദയ ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ കരുണ തീര്ന്നു പോയിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ;

22. It is because of the Lord's loving-kindness that we are not destroyed for His loving-pity never ends.

23. അതു രാവിലെതോറും പുതിയതും നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്ഥത വലിയതും ആകുന്നു.

23. It is new every morning. He is so very faithful.

24. യഹോവ എന്റെ ഔഹരി എന്നു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പറയുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവനില് പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുന്നു.

24. 'The Lord is my share.' says my soul, 'so I have hope in Him.'

25. തന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും തന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്നും യഹോവ നല്ലവന് .

25. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the one who looks for Him.

26. യഹോവയുടെ രക്ഷെക്കായി മിണ്ടാതെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

26. It is good that one should be quiet and wait for the saving power of the Lord.

27. ബാല്യത്തില് നുകം ചുമക്കുന്നതു ഒരു പുരുഷന്നു നല്ലതു.

27. It is good for a man to carry the load while he is young.

28. അവന് അതു അവന്റെ മേല് വെച്ചിരിക്ക കൊണ്ടു അവന് തനിച്ചു മൌനം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.

28. Let him sit alone and be quiet when God has laid the load on him.

29. അവന് തന്റെ മുഖത്തെ പൊടിയോളം താഴ്ത്തട്ടെ; പക്ഷെ പ്രത്യാശ ശേഷിക്കും.

29. Let him put his mouth in the dust. There may be hope yet.

30. തന്നെ അടിക്കുന്നവന്നു അവന് കവിള് കാണിക്കട്ടെ; അവന് വേണ്ടുവോളം നിന്ദ അനുഭവിക്കട്ടെ.

30. Let him give his face to the one who hits him, and be filled with shame.

31. കര്ത്താവു എന്നേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ലല്ലോ.

31. For the Lord will not turn away from a man forever.

32. അവന് ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചാലും തന്റെ മഹാദയെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്നു കരുണതോന്നും.

32. For if He causes sorrow, He will have loving-pity because of His great loving-kindness.

33. മനസ്സോടെയല്ലല്ലോ അവന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചു വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു.

33. He does not want to cause trouble or sorrow for the children of men.

34. ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലബദ്ധന്മാരെയും കാല്കീഴിട്ടു മെതിക്കുന്നതും.

34. He is not pleased when all those on earth who are in prison are crushed under foot.

35. അത്യുന്നതന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് മനുഷ്യന്റെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും.

35. The Most High is not pleased when the rights are kept away from a man who is before Him,

36. മനുഷ്യനെ വ്യവഹാരത്തില് തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും കര്ത്താവു കാണുകയില്ലയോ?

36. and when wrong is done to him in his cause. The Lord is not pleased with these things.

37. കര്ത്താവു കല്പിക്കാതെ ആര് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടാകുന്നു വല്ലതും സംഭവിക്കുന്നതു?

37. Who has said that something would happen and then it did happen, unless the Lord has said that it should be?

38. അത്യുന്നതന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു നന്മയും തിന്മയും പുറപ്പെടുന്നില്ലയോ?

38. Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both good and bad come?

39. മനുഷ്യന് ജീവനുള്ളന്നു നെടുവീര്പ്പിടുന്നതെന്തു? ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നെടുവീര്പ്പിടട്ടെ.

39. Why should any living man complain about the punishment of his sins?

40. നാം നമ്മുടെ നടുപ്പു ആരാഞ്ഞു ശോധനചെയ്തു യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിയുക.

40. Let us test and look over our ways, and return to the Lord.

41. നാം കൈകളെയും ഹൃദയത്തെയും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു ഉയര്ത്തുക.

41. Let us lift up our heart and hands to God in heaven, saying,

42. ഞങ്ങള് അതിക്രമം ചെയ്തു മത്സരിച്ചു; നീ ക്ഷമിച്ചതുമില്ല.

42. We have sinned and would not obey You, and You have not forgiven us.

43. നീ കോപം പുതെച്ചു ഞങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു, കരുണകൂടാതെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

43. You have covered Yourself with anger and have followed us, killing without pity.

44. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കടക്കാതവണ്ണം നീ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെത്തന്നേ മറെച്ചു.

44. You have covered Yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can get through.

45. നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ചവറും എച്ചിലും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

45. You have made us a waste and something that is not wanted among the nations.

46. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ വായ്പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

46. All those who hate us have spoken against us.

47. പേടിയും കണിയും ശൂന്യവും നാശവും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

47. Fear and a trap have come upon us. We are laid waste and destroyed.

48. എന്റെ ജനത്തിന് പുത്രിയുടെ നാശംനിമിത്തം നീര്ത്തോടുകള് എന്റെ കണ്ണില്നിന്നൊഴുകുന്നു.

48. My eyes flow with rivers of tears because my people are destroyed.

49. യഹോവ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു നോക്കി കടാക്ഷിക്കുവോളം

49. Tears flow from my eyes all the time without stopping,

50. എന്റെ കണ്ണു ഇടവിടാതെ പൊഴിക്കുന്നു; ഇളെക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

50. until the Lord looks down from heaven and sees.

51. എന്റെ നഗരത്തിലെ സകലസ്ത്രീജനത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു എന്റെ കണ്ണു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

51. My eyes bring me suffering because of what is happening to all the women of my city.

52. കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായവര് എന്നെ ഒരു പക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെ വേട്ടയാടിയിരിക്കുന്നു;

52. I have been hunted like a bird by those who hate me for no reason.

53. അവര് എന്റെ ജീവനെ കുണ്ടറയില് ഇട്ടു നശിപ്പിച്ചു, എന്റെ മേല് കല്ലു എറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

53. They threw me alive into the deep hole and have put a stone on me.

54. വെള്ളം എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകി; ഞാന് നശിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

54. Water flowed over my head, and I said, 'I am cut off!'

55. യഹോവേ, ഞാന് ആഴമുള്ള കുണ്ടറയില്നിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

55. I called on Your name, O Lord, out of the deep hole.

56. എന്റെ നെടുവീര്പ്പിന്നും എന്റെ നിലവിളിക്കും ചെവി പൊത്തിക്കളയരുതേ എന്നുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

56. You have heard my voice. Do not close Your ears to my cry for help.

57. ഞാന് നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ച നാളില് നീ അടുത്തുവന്നുഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

57. You came near when I called You, and You said, 'Do not be afraid!'

58. കര്ത്താവേ, നീ എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തി, എന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

58. You have helped me in my cause, O Lord. You have saved my life.

59. യഹോവേ, ഞാന് അനുഭവിച്ച അന്യായം നീ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം തീര്ത്തുതരേണമേ.

59. O Lord, You have seen the wrong done to me. Judge in my favor.

60. അവര് ചെയ്ത സകലപ്രതികാരവും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും നീ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

60. You have seen how much they hate me and plan against me.

61. യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ നിന്ദയും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും

61. O Lord, You have heard how they put me to shame and how they work against me.

62. എന്റെ എതിരികളുടെ വാക്കുകളും ഇടവിടാതെ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള നിനവും നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

62. The lips and thoughts of those who hurt me are against me all day long.

63. അവരുടെ ഇരിപ്പും എഴുന്നേല്പും നോക്കേണമേ; ഞാന് അവരുടെ പാട്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു.

63. Watch their sitting down and standing up. I am their song as they make fun of me.

64. യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവര്ക്കും പകരം ചെയ്യേണമേ;

64. O Lord, You will punish them for what they have done.

65. നീ അവര്ക്കും ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം വരുത്തും; നിന്റെ ശാപം അവര്ക്കും വരട്ടെ.

65. You will give them hard hearts, and curse them.

66. നീ അവരെ കോപത്തോടെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു, യഹോവയുടെ ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

66. Go after them in anger and destroy them from under Your heavens, O Lord.
