1. അനന്തരം ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടുഇവിടെ എനിക്കു ഏഴു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു ഏഴു കാളയെയും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ഒരുക്കിനിര്ത്തുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

1. And Balaam said vnto Balac: Buylde me here seuen aulters, & prepare me here seuen oxen & seuen rammes.

2. ബിലെയാം പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ബാലാക് ചെയ്തു; ബാലാക്കും ബിലെയാമും ഔരോ പീഠത്തിന്മേലും ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു;

2. And Balac dyd as Balaam sayde: And Balac and Balaam offred on euery aulter an oxe and a ramme.

3. പിന്നെ ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടുനിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നില്ക്ക; ഞാന് അങ്ങോട്ടു ചെല്ലട്ടെ; പക്ഷേ യഹോവ എനിക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകും; അവന് എന്നെ ദര്ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു അറിയിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു കുന്നിന്മേല് കയറി.

3. And Balaam said vnto Balac: Stand by thy sacrifice, and I will go, if happly the Lorde will meete me: and whatsoeuer he sheweth me, I wyll tell thee. And he went vp hyer.

4. ദൈവം ബിലെയാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; ബിലെയാം അവനോടുഞാന് ഏഴു പിഠം ഒരുക്കി ഔരോ പീഠത്തിന്മേല് ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. But God met Balaam, & [Balaam] sayd vnto hym: I haue prepared seuen aulters, and haue offred vpon euery aulter an oxe and a ramme.

5. എന്നാറെ യഹോവ ഒരു വചനം ബിലെയാമിന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് ആക്കിക്കൊടുത്തുനീ ബാലാക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു ഇപ്രകാരം പറയേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

5. And the Lorde put a saying in Balaams mouth, and sayde: Go agayne to Balac, and say on this wyse.

6. അവന് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു; അവനും മോവാബ്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് എല്ലാവരും ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നിരുന്നു.

6. And when he went agayne vnto him, lo, he stoode by his burnt sacrifice, he and all the lordes of Moab.

7. അപ്പോള് അവന് സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിത്തുടങ്ങിയതുബാലാക് എന്നെ അരാമില്നിന്നും മോവാബ്രാജാവു പൂര്വ്വപര്വ്വതങ്ങളില്നിന്നും വരുത്തിചെന്നു യാക്കോബിനെ ശപിക്ക; ചെന്നു യിസ്രായേലിനെ പ്രാകുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. And he toke vp his parable, and sayd: Balac the king of Moab hath brought me fro Mesopotamia, out of the mountaynes of the east, [saying] Come, curse Iacob for my sake, come and defie Israel.

8. ദൈവം ശപിക്കാത്തവനെ ഞാന് എങ്ങനെ ശപിക്കും? യഹോവ പ്രാകാത്തവനെ ഞാന് എങ്ങനെ പ്രാകും?

8. Howe shall I curse hym, whom God hath not cursed? or howe shall I defie hym, whom God hath not defied?

9. ശിലാഗ്രങ്ങളില്നിന്നു ഞാന് അവനെ കാണുന്നു; ഗിരികളില്നിന്നു ഞാന് അവനെ ദര്ശിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാ തനിച്ചു പാര്ക്കുംന്നോരു ജനം; ജാതികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് എണ്ണപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

9. For from the toppe of the rockes I see hym, and from the hylles I beholde hym: lo, the people shall dwell by them selues, and shal not be reckened among the nations.

10. യാക്കോബിന്റെ ധൂളിയെ ആര്ക്കും എണ്ണാം? യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ കാലംശത്തെ ആര്ക്കും ഗണിക്കാം? ഭക്തന്മാര് മരിക്കുമ്പോലെ ഞാന് മരിക്കട്ടെ; എന്റെ അവസാനം അവന്റേതുപോലെ ആകട്ടെ.

10. Who can tell the dust of Iacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? I pray God that my soule may dye the death of the righteous, and that my last ende may be like his.

11. ബാലാക് ബിലെയാമിനോടുനീ എന്നോടു ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ശപിപ്പാനല്ലോ ഞാന് നിന്നെ വരുത്തിയതു? നീയോ അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയത്രേ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

11. And Balac sayd vnto Balaam: What hast thou done vnto me? I toke thee to curse myne enemies, and beholde thou hast blessed them altogether.

12. അതിന്നു അവന് യഹോവ എന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് തന്നതു പറവാന് ഞാന് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടായോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

12. He aunswered and sayd: Must I not take heede to speake that whiche the lorde hath put in my mouth?

13. ബാലാക് അവനോടുനീ അവരെ മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നോടുകൂടെ വരിക; എന്നാല് അവരുടെ ഒരറ്റം മാത്രമല്ലാതെ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണുകയില്ല; അവിടെനിന്നു അവരെ ശപിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. And Balac sayde vnto hym: Come I pray thee with me vnto another place, whence thou mayest see them, and thou shalt see but the vtmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: curse them out of that place for my sake.

14. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് പിസ്ഗകൊടുമുടിയില് സോഫീം എന്ന മുകള്പ്പരപ്പിലേക്കു അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി ഏഴു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു ഔരോ പീഠത്തിന്മേലും ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

14. And he brought hym into a fielde, where men myght see farre of, euen to the toppe of an hyll, and buylt seuen aulters, and offred an oxe and a ramme on euery aulter.

15. പിന്നെ അവന് ബാലാക്കിനോടുഇവിടെ നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നില്ക്ക; ഞാന് അങ്ങോട്ടു ചെന്നു കാണട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. And he said vnto Balac: Stande here by thy burnt sacrifice, whyle I meete [the Lorde] yonder.

16. യഹോവ ബിലെയാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് ഒരു വചനം കൊടുത്തുബാലാക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു ഇപ്രകാരം പറക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

16. And the Lord met Balaam, and put a worde in his mouth, and sayd: Go agayne vnto Balac, and say thus.

17. അവന് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നപ്പോള് അവന് മോവാബ്യ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടെ തന്റെ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നിരുന്നു. അപ്പോള് ബാലാക് അവനോടുയഹോവ എന്തു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

17. And when he came to hym, beholde he stoode by his burnt sacrifice, and the lordes of Moab with hym. And Balac saide vnto hym: What hath the Lorde sayde?

18. അവന് സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിത്തുടങ്ങിയതുബാലാക്കേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു കേള്ക്ക; സിപ്പോരിന്റെ പുത്രാ, എനിക്കു ചെവി തരിക.

18. And he toke vp his parable, and aunswered: Rise vp Balac, and heare, and hearke vnto me thou sonne of Ziphor.

19. വ്യാജം പറവാന് ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനല്ല; അനുതപിപ്പാന് അവന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രനുമല്ല; താന് കല്പിച്ചതു ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമോ? താന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിവര്ത്തിക്കാതിരിക്കുമോ?

19. God is not a man that he should lye, neither the sonne of a ma that he should repent: should he say & not do? or should he speake, and not make it good?

20. അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു കല്പന ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു അതു മറിച്ചുകൂടാ.

20. Beholde, I haue taken vpon me to blesse: for he hath blessed, and it is not in my power to aulter it.

21. യാക്കോബില് തിന്മ കാണ്മാനില്ല; യിസ്രായേലില് കഷ്ടത ദര്ശിപ്പാനുമില്ല; അവന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവനോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; രാജകോലാഹലം അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഉണ്ടു.

21. He behelde no vanitie in Iacob, nor saw transgression in Israel: The Lord his God is with hym, and the ioyfull shout of a king is among them.

22. ദൈവം അവരെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു; കാട്ടുപോത്തിന്നു തുല്യമായ ബലം അവന്നു ഉണ്ടു.

22. God brought them out of Egypt, they haue strength as an Unicorne.

23. ആഭിചാരം യാക്കോബിന്നു പറ്റുകയില്ല; ലക്ഷണവിദ്യ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു ഫലിക്കയുമില്ല; ഇപ്പോള് യാക്കോബിനെക്കുറിച്ചും യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചുംദൈവം എന്തെല്ലാം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നേ പറയാവു.

23. For there is no sorcerie in Iacob, nor soothsaying in Israel, according to this time it shalbe sayde of Iacob and Israel: What hath God wrought?

24. ഇതാ, ജനം സിംഹിയെപ്പോലെ എഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നു; ബാലസിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ തെളിഞ്ഞുനിലക്കുന്നു; അവന് ഇര പിടിച്ചു തിന്നാതെയും നിഹതന്മാരുടെ രക്തം കുടിക്കാതെയും കിടക്കയില്ല.

24. Beholde, the people shall ryse vp as a Lion, and heaue vp him self as a young Lion: He shall not lye downe, vntyll he eate of the pray, and drinke the blood of them that are slayne.

25. അപ്പോള് ബാലാക് ബിലെയാമിനോടുഅവരെ ശപിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. And Balac sayde vnto Balaam: Neither curse them, nor blesse them at all.

26. ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടുയഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ഞാന് ചെയ്യും എന്നു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

26. But Balaam aunswered and said vnto Balac: Tolde not I thee, saying, All that ye Lorde speaketh, that I must do?

27. ബാലാക് ബിലെയാമിനോടുവരിക, ഞാന് നിന്നെ മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവിടെനിന്നു നീ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി അവരെ ശപിപ്പാന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു പക്ഷേ സമ്മതമാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. And Balac said vnto Balaam: Come I pray thee, and I wyll bryng thee yet vnto another place, if at all it will please God, that thou mayst thence curse them for my sake.

28. അങ്ങനെ ബാലാക് ബിലെയാമിനെ മരുഭൂമിക്കു എതിരെയുള്ള പെയോര്മലയുടെ മുകളില് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

28. And Balac brought Balaam vnto the toppe of Peor, that looketh towarde Iesimon.

29. ബിലെയാം ബാലാക്കിനോടുഇവിടെ എനിക്കു ഏഴു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു ഏഴു കാളയെയും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ഒരുക്കിനിര്ത്തുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And Balaam said vnto Balac: Make me here seuen aulters, and prepare me here seuen oxen, and seuen rammes.

30. ബിലെയാം പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ബാലാക് ചെയ്തു; ഔരോ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേലും ഒരു കാളയെയും ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

30. And Balac dyd as Balaam had sayd, and offered an oxe and a ramme on euerie aulter.
