1. അനന്തരം യോസേഫിന്റെ മകനായ മനശ്ശെയുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളില് മനശ്ശെയുടെ മകനായ മാഖീരിന്റെ മകനായ ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ മകനായ ഹേഫെരിന്റെ മകനായ സെലോഫഹാദിന്റെ പുത്രിമാര് അടുത്തുവന്നു. അവന്റെ പുത്രിമാര് മഹ്ളാ, നോവ, ഹോഗ്ള, മില്ക്കാ, തിര്സാ, എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു.

1. Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the sonne of Hepher, the sonne of Gilead, the sonne of Machir, the sonne of Manasseh, of the familie of Manasseh, the sonne of Ioseph (and the names of his daughters were these, Mahlah, Noah and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah)

2. അവര് സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് മോശെയുടെയും എലെയാസാര്പുരോഹിതന്റെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെയും സര്വ്വ സഭയുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്

2. And stoode before Moses, and before Eleazar the Priest, and before the Princes, and all the assemblie, at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, saying,

3. ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന് മരുഭൂമിയില വെച്ചു മരിച്ചുപോയി; എന്നാല് അവന് യഹോവേക്കു വിരോധമായി കോരഹിനോടു കൂടിയവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ചേര്ന്നിരുന്നില്ല; അവന് സ്വന്തപാപത്താല് അത്രേ മരിച്ചതു; അവന്നു പുത്രന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

3. Our father dyed in the wildernes, and he was not among the assemblie of them that were assembled against the Lord in the companie of Korah, but died in his sinne, and had no sonnes.

4. ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്നു മകന് ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ പേര് കുടുംബത്തില്നിന്നു ഇല്ലാതെയാകുന്നതു എന്തു? അപ്പന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു അവകാസം തരേണം.

4. Wherefore should the name of our father be taken away from among his familie, because he hath no sonne? giue vs a possession among the brethren of our father.

5. മോശെ അവരുടെ കാര്യം യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വെച്ചു.

5. Then Moses brought their cause before the Lord.

6. യഹോവ മോശെയേൂടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

6. And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

7. സെലോഫ ഹാദിന്റെ പുത്രിമാര് പറയുന്നതു ശരിതന്നേ; അവരുടെ അപ്പന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് അവര്ക്കും ഒരു അവകാശം കൊടുക്കേണം; അവരുടെ അപ്പന്റെ അവകാശം അവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കേണം.

7. The daughters of Zelophehad speake right: thou shalt giue them a possession to inherite among their fathers brethren, and shalt turne the inheritance of their father vnto them.

8. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്ഒരുത്തന് മകനില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചാല് അവന്റെ അവകാശം അവന്റെ മകള്ക്കു കൊടുക്കേണം.

8. Also thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die and haue no sonne, then ye shall turne his inheritaunce vnto his daughter.

9. അവന്നു മകള് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാല് അവന്റെ അവകാശം അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കേണം.

9. And if he haue no daughter, ye shall giue his inheritance vnto his brethren.

10. അവന്നു സഹോദരന്മാര് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാല് അവന്റെ അവകാശം അവന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കേണം.

10. And if he haue no brethren, ye shall giue his inheritance vnto his fathers brethren.

11. അവന്റെ അപ്പന്നു സഹോദരന്മാര് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തില് അവന്റെ അടുത്ത ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരന്നു അവന്റെ അവകാശം കൊടുക്കേണം അവന് അതു കൈവശമാക്കേണം; ഇതു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

11. And if his father haue no brethren, ye shall giue his inheritance vnto his next kinsman of his familie, and he shall possesse it: and this shall be vnto the children of Israel a law of iudgement, as the Lord hath commanded Moses.

12. അനന്തരം യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുഈ അബാരീംമലയില് കയറി ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശം നോക്കുക.

12. Againe the Lord said vnto Moses, Go vp into this mount of Abarim, and behold ye lande which I haue giuen vnto the children of Israel.

13. അതു കണ്ട ശേഷം നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോനെപ്പോലെ നീയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരും.

13. And when thou hast seene it, thou shalt be gathered vnto thy people also, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

14. സഭയുടെ കലഹത്തിങ്കല് നിങ്ങള് സീന് മരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു അവര് കാണ്കെ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് എന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കാതെ എന്റെ കല്പനയെ മറുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ. സീന് മരുഭൂമിയില് കാദേശിലെ കലഹജലം അതു തന്നേ.

14. For ye were disobedient vnto my worde in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the assemblie, to sanctifie me in the waters before their eyes. That is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wildernesse of Zin.

15. അപ്പോള് മോശെ യഹോവയോടു

15. Then Moses spake vnto the Lord, saying,

16. യഹോവയുടെ സഭ ഇടയനില്ലാത്ത ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ ആകാതിരിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവര്ക്കും മുമ്പായി പോകുവാനും അവര്ക്കും മുമ്പായി വരുവാനും അവരെ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനും
എബ്രായർ 12:9

16. Let the Lord God of the spirits of all flesh appoint a man ouer the Congregation,

17. അകത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോകുവാനും സകല ജഡത്തിന്റെയും ആത്മാക്കളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ സഭയുടെ മേല് ഒരാളെ നിയമിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Who may goe out and in before them, and leade them out and in, that the Congregation of the Lord be not as sheepe, which haue not a shepheard.

18. യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുഎന്റെ ആത്മാവുള്ള പുരുഷനായി നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയെ വിളിച്ചു

18. And the Lord said vnto Moses, Take thee Ioshua the sonne of Nun, in whom is the Spirite, and put thine handes vpon him,

19. അവന്റെ മേല് കൈവെച്ചു അവനെ പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാരിന്റെയും സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ നിര്ത്തി അവര് കാണ്കെ അവന്നു ആജ്ഞകൊടുക്ക.

19. And set him before Eleazar the Priest, and before all the Congregation, and giue him a charge in their sight.

20. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സഭയെല്ലാം അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ മഹിമയില് ഒരംശം അവന്റെ മേല് വെക്കേണം.

20. And giue him of thy glory, that all the Congregation of ye children of Israel may obey.

21. അവന് പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാരിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കേണം; അവന് അവന്നു വേണ്ടി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ഊരീംമുഖാന്തരം അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിക്കേണം; അവനും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സര്വ്വസഭയും അവന്റെ വാക്കുപ്രകാരം വരികയും വേണം.

21. And he shall stande before Eleazar the Priest, who shall aske counsell for him by the iudgement of Vrim before the Lord: at his worde they shall goe out, and at his worde they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him and all the Congregation.

22. യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ മോശെ ചെയ്തു; അവന് യോശുവയെ വിളിച്ചു പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാരിന്റെയും സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയു മുമ്പാകെ നിര്ത്തി.

22. So Moses did as the Lord had commanded him, and he tooke Ioshua, and set him before Eleazar the Priest, and before all the Congregation.

23. അവന്റെമേല് കൈവെച്ചു യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം കല്പിച്ചതുപേലെ അവന്നു ആജ്ഞ കൊടുത്തു.

23. Then he put his handes vpon him, and gaue him a charge, as the Lord had spoken by the hand of Moses.
