1. അനന്തരം യോസേഫിന്റെ മകനായ മനശ്ശെയുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളില് മനശ്ശെയുടെ മകനായ മാഖീരിന്റെ മകനായ ഗിലെയാദിന്റെ മകനായ ഹേഫെരിന്റെ മകനായ സെലോഫഹാദിന്റെ പുത്രിമാര് അടുത്തുവന്നു. അവന്റെ പുത്രിമാര് മഹ്ളാ, നോവ, ഹോഗ്ള, മില്ക്കാ, തിര്സാ, എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു.

1. Then came the daughters of Zalphaad the sonne of Hepher, the sonne of Gilead, the sonne of Machir, the sonne of Manasse, of the kinred of Manasse the sonne of Ioseph: whose names were Maala, Noha, Hagla, Melcha and Thirza.

2. അവര് സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് മോശെയുടെയും എലെയാസാര്പുരോഹിതന്റെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെയും സര്വ്വ സഭയുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്

2. And stode before Moyses and Eleazar the priest, and before the lordes, and all the multitude by the doore of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying:

3. ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന് മരുഭൂമിയില വെച്ചു മരിച്ചുപോയി; എന്നാല് അവന് യഹോവേക്കു വിരോധമായി കോരഹിനോടു കൂടിയവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ചേര്ന്നിരുന്നില്ല; അവന് സ്വന്തപാപത്താല് അത്രേ മരിച്ചതു; അവന്നു പുത്രന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

3. Our father dyed in the wyldernesse, and was not in the company of them that gathered them selues together agaynst the Lorde in the congregation of Corah: but dyed in his owne sinne, and had no sonnes.

4. ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്നു മകന് ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ പേര് കുടുംബത്തില്നിന്നു ഇല്ലാതെയാകുന്നതു എന്തു? അപ്പന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു അവകാസം തരേണം.

4. Wherefore then is the name of our father taken away from among his kinred, because he hath no sonne? Geue vnto vs therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.

5. മോശെ അവരുടെ കാര്യം യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വെച്ചു.

5. And Moyses brought their cause before the Lorde.

6. യഹോവ മോശെയേൂടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

6. And the Lorde spake vnto Moyses, saying.

7. സെലോഫ ഹാദിന്റെ പുത്രിമാര് പറയുന്നതു ശരിതന്നേ; അവരുടെ അപ്പന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് അവര്ക്കും ഒരു അവകാശം കൊടുക്കേണം; അവരുടെ അപ്പന്റെ അവകാശം അവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കേണം.

7. The daughters of Zalphaad speake ryght: thou shalt geue them a possession to inherite among their fathers brethren, and shalt turne the inheritaunce of their father vnto them.

8. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്ഒരുത്തന് മകനില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചാല് അവന്റെ അവകാശം അവന്റെ മകള്ക്കു കൊടുക്കേണം.

8. And thou shalt speake vnto the chyldren of Israel, saying: If a man dye and haue no sonne, ye shall turne his inheritaunce vnto his daughter.

9. അവന്നു മകള് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാല് അവന്റെ അവകാശം അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കേണം.

9. If he haue no daughter, ye shall geue his inheritaunce vnto his brethren.

10. അവന്നു സഹോദരന്മാര് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാല് അവന്റെ അവകാശം അവന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കേണം.

10. If he haue also no brethren, ye shall geue his inheritaunce vnto his fathers brethren.

11. അവന്റെ അപ്പന്നു സഹോദരന്മാര് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തില് അവന്റെ അടുത്ത ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരന്നു അവന്റെ അവകാശം കൊടുക്കേണം അവന് അതു കൈവശമാക്കേണം; ഇതു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

11. And if his father haue no brethren, ye shall geue his inheritaunce vnto hym that is next to him of his kinred, and he shall possesse it: And this shalbe vnto the chyldren of Israel a lawe of iudgement, as the Lorde hath commaunded Moyses.

12. അനന്തരം യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുഈ അബാരീംമലയില് കയറി ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശം നോക്കുക.

12. And the Lorde sayde vnto Moyses: Get thee vp into this mount Abarim, and beholde the lande whiche I haue geuen vnto the chyldren of Israel:

13. അതു കണ്ട ശേഷം നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോനെപ്പോലെ നീയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരും.

13. And whe thou hast seene it, thou shalt be gathered vnto thy people also, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

14. സഭയുടെ കലഹത്തിങ്കല് നിങ്ങള് സീന് മരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു അവര് കാണ്കെ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് എന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കാതെ എന്റെ കല്പനയെ മറുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ. സീന് മരുഭൂമിയില് കാദേശിലെ കലഹജലം അതു തന്നേ.

14. For ye were disobedient vnto my mouth in the desert of Zin, in the stryfe of the congregation, neither dyd ye sanctifie me in the waters before their eyes: That is, the water of stryfe in Cades in the wyldernesse of Zin.

15. അപ്പോള് മോശെ യഹോവയോടു

15. And Moyses spake vnto the Lorde, saying:

16. യഹോവയുടെ സഭ ഇടയനില്ലാത്ത ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ ആകാതിരിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവര്ക്കും മുമ്പായി പോകുവാനും അവര്ക്കും മുമ്പായി വരുവാനും അവരെ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനും
എബ്രായർ 12:9

16. Let the Lord God of the spirites of all fleshe set a man ouer ye congregation,

17. അകത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോകുവാനും സകല ജഡത്തിന്റെയും ആത്മാക്കളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ സഭയുടെ മേല് ഒരാളെ നിയമിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Which may go out & in before them, and leade them out and in, that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheepe which haue not a sheephearde.

18. യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുഎന്റെ ആത്മാവുള്ള പുരുഷനായി നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയെ വിളിച്ചു

18. And the Lorde sayde vnto Moyses: Take thee Iosuah the sonne of Nun, a man in whom is the spirite, and put thyne handes vpon hym,

19. അവന്റെ മേല് കൈവെച്ചു അവനെ പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാരിന്റെയും സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ നിര്ത്തി അവര് കാണ്കെ അവന്നു ആജ്ഞകൊടുക്ക.

19. And set hym before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation: and geue hym a charge in their sight.

20. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സഭയെല്ലാം അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ മഹിമയില് ഒരംശം അവന്റെ മേല് വെക്കേണം.

20. And put of thy prayse vpon him, that all the companie of the children of Israel may be obedient.

21. അവന് പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാരിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കേണം; അവന് അവന്നു വേണ്ടി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ഊരീംമുഖാന്തരം അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിക്കേണം; അവനും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സര്വ്വസഭയും അവന്റെ വാക്കുപ്രകാരം വരികയും വേണം.

21. And he shall stande before Eleazar the priest, which shall aske counsell for hym after the iudgement of Urim, before the Lorde: And accordyng vnto his worde, shall they go out and in, both he and all the children of Israel with him, and all the congregation.

22. യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ മോശെ ചെയ്തു; അവന് യോശുവയെ വിളിച്ചു പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാരിന്റെയും സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയു മുമ്പാകെ നിര്ത്തി.

22. And Moyses dyd as the Lorde commaunded him: and he toke Iosuah, and set hym before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:

23. അവന്റെമേല് കൈവെച്ചു യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം കല്പിച്ചതുപേലെ അവന്നു ആജ്ഞ കൊടുത്തു.

23. And put his handes vpon hym, and gaue hym a charge, as the Lorde commaunded through the hand of Moyses.
