1. ആറു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യേശു പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടി തനിച്ചു ഒരു ഉയര്ന്ന മലയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി,.

1. And after sixe dayes Iesus toke Peter Iames, and Ihon his brother, and brought them vp in to an hye mountayne out of the waye,

2. അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു, അവന്റെ മുഖം സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ ശോഭിച്ചു അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം വെളിച്ചം പോലെ വെള്ളയായി തീര്ന്നു.

2. and was transfigured before the: & his face shone as ye Sonne, and his clothes were as white as the light.

3. And beholde, there appeared vnto the Moses and Elias talkinge with him.

4. അപ്പോള് പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു; നിനക്കു സമ്മതമെങ്കില് ഞാന് ഇവിടെ മൂന്നു കുടില് ഉണ്ടാക്കാം ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. Then answered Peter, and sayde vnto Iesus: LORDE, here is good beynge for us. Yf thou wilt, let us make here thre tabernacles: one for the, one for Moses, and one for Elias.

5. അവന് പറയുമ്പോള് തന്നേ പ്രകാശമുള്ളോരു മേഘം അവരുടെ മേല് നിഴലിട്ടു; മേഘത്തില് നിന്നുഇവന് എന്റെ പ്രീയ പുത്രന് , ഇവങ്കല് ഞാന് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു; ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിന് എന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.

5. Whyle he yet spake, beholde, a bright cloude ouershadowed them: and lo, there came a voyce out of the cloude, saienge: This is my deare sonne, in whom I delyte, heare him.

6. Whan ye disciples herde that, they fell vpon their faces, and were sore afrayed.

7. യേശു അടുത്തു ചെന്നു അവരെ തൊട്ടു“എഴുന്നേല്പിന് , ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. But Iesus came and touched them, and sayde: Aryse, and be not afrayed.

8. അവര് തലപൊക്കിയാറെ യേശുവിനെ മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല.

8. And whan they loked vp, they sawe no man, but Iesus onely.

9. അവന് മലയില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോള് യേശു അവരോടു“മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കുംവരെ ഈ ദര്ശനം ആരോടും പറയരുതു” എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. And wha they came downe fro ye mountayne, Iesus charged them, and sayde: Tell no man of this vision, tyll the sonne of man be rysen agayne from ye deed.

10. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുഎന്നാല് ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

10. And his disciples axed him, and sayde: Why saye the scrybes then, that Elias must first come?

11. അതിന്നു അവന് “ഏലീയാവു വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കും സത്യം.

11. Iesus answered and sayde vnto them: Elias shall come first in dede, and bringe all thinges to right agayne.

12. എന്നാല് ഏലീയാവു വന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവര് അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാതെ തങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നിയതു എല്ലാം അവനോടു ചെയ്തു. അവ്വണ്ണം മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നും അവരാല് കഷ്ടപ്പെടുവാനുണ്ടു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

12. But I saye vnto you: Elias is come all ready, & they knewe him not, but haue done vnto him what they wolde. Eue so shal also the sonne of man suffre of them.

13. അവന് യോഹന്നാന് സ്നാപകനെക്കുറിച്ചു തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

13. Then the disciples perceaued, that he spake vnto them of Ihon the baptist.

14. അവര് പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നാറെ ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് വന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ മുട്ടുകുത്തി

14. And whan they were come to the people, there came vnto him a certayne man, and kneled vnto him, and sayde:

15. കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ മകനോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകേണമേ; അവന് ചന്ദ്രരോഗം പിടിച്ചു പലപ്പോഴും തീയിലും പലപ്പോഴും വെള്ളത്തിലും വീണു വല്ലാത്ത കഷ്ടത്തിലായ്പോകുന്നു.

15. LORDE, haue mercy vpon my sonne, for he is lunatike, & sore vexed. He falleth oft tymes in to ye fyre, and oft in to ye water:

16. ഞാന് അവനെ നിന്റെ ശീഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എന്നാല് സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തുവാന് അവര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

16. and I brought him vnto thy disciples, and they coude not heale him.

17. അതിന്നു യേശു“അവിശ്വാസവും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും? എത്രത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ സഹിക്കും? അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞഞു.

17. Iesus answered, and sayde: O thou faithles and frowarde generacion, how longe shal I be with you? How longe shal I suffre you? Bringe him hither to me.

18. And Iesus rebuked him, and ye deuyll wete out of him, and ye childe was healed, euen that same houre.

19. പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സ്വകാര്യമായി യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഞങ്ങള്ക്കു അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കിക്കൂടാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

19. Then came the disciples vnto Iesus secretly, & sayde: Why coude not we cast him out?

20. അവന് അവരോടു“നിങ്ങളുടെ അല്പവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തമത്രേ;

20. Iesus sayde vnto them: Because of youre vnbeleue. For I saye verely vnto you? Yf ye haue faith as a grane of mustarde sede, ye maye saye vnto this mountayne: Remoue hence to yonder place, and he shal remoue, nether shal enythinge be vnpossible vnto you.

21. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കടുകുമണിയോളം വിശ്വാസമുണ്ടെങ്കില് ഈ മലയോടുഇവിടെ നിന്നു അങ്ങോട്ടു നീങ്ങുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് അതു നീങ്ങും; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒന്നും അസാദ്ധ്യമാകയുമില്ല.” (എങ്കിലും പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാലും ഉപവാസത്താലുമല്ലാതെ ഈ ജാതി നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നില്ല) എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. How beit this kinde goeth not out, but by prayer and fastynge.

22. അവര് ഗലീലയില് സഞ്ചരിക്കുമ്പോള് യേശു അവരോടു“മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാറായിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. Whyle they occupied in Galile, Iesus sayde vnto them: it wil come to passe, that the sonne of man shalbe delyuered in to the hondes of men,

23. അവര് അവനെ കൊല്ലുകയും മൂന്നാം നാള് അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവരോ ഏറ്റവും ദുഃഖിച്ചു.

23. and they shal kyll him, and the thirde daye shal he aryse agayne. And they were very sory.

24. അവര് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് എത്തിയാറെ ദ്വിദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം വാങ്ങുന്നവര് പത്രൊസിന്റെ അടക്കല് വന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ ഗുരു ദ്വിദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഉവ്വു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Now wha they were come to Capernaum, they that receaued ye tribute money, came to Peter, and sayde: Doth youre master paye tribute?

25. അവന് വീട്ടില് വന്നപ്പോള് യേശു അവനോടു“ശിമോനേ, നിനക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? ഭൂമിയിലെ രാജാക്കന്മാര് ചുങ്കമോ കരമോ ആരോടു വാങ്ങുന്നു? പുത്രന്മാരോടോ അന്യരോടോ” എന്നു മുന്നിട്ടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഅന്യരോടു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

25. He sayed: yee. And when he was come home, Iesus preuented him, and sayde: What thinkest thou Symon? Of whom do the kynges of the earth take toll or tribute? Of their children, or of straungers?

26. യേശു അവനോടു“എന്നാല് പുത്രന്മാര് ഒഴിവുള്ളവരല്ലോ.

26. Then sayde Peter to him: Of straungers. Iesus sayde vnto him: Then are ye children fre.

27. എങ്കിലും നാം അവര്ക്കും ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ കടലീലേക്കു ചെന്നു ചൂണ്ടല് ഇട്ടു ആദ്യം കിട്ടുന്ന മീനിനെ എടുക്ക; അതിന്റെ വായ് തുറക്കുമ്പോള് ഒരു ചതുര്ദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം കാണും; അതു എടുത്തു എനിക്കും നിനക്കും വേണ്ടി കൊടുക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
