1. ആ ദിവസങ്ങളില് ഒന്നില് അവന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് ജനത്തോടു ഉപദേശിച്ചു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുമ്പോള് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരുമായി അടുത്തു വന്നു അവനോടു

1. And it came to passe, that on one of those dayes, as he taught the people in the Temple, and preached the Gospel, the hie Priests and the Scribes came vpon him with the Elders,

2. നീ എന്തു അധികാരംകൊണ്ടു ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു? ഈ അധികാരം നിനക്കു തന്നതു ആര്? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. And spake vnto him, saying, Tell vs by what authoritie thou doest these things, or who is hee that hath giuen thee this authoritie?

3. അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി അവന് ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു വാക്കു ചോദിക്കും; അതു എന്നോടു പറവിന് .

3. And he answered, and sayde vnto them, I also will aske you one thing: tell me therefore:

4. യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നോ മനുഷ്യരില്നിന്നോ ഉണ്ടായതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

4. The baptisme of Iohn, was it from heauen, or of men?

5. അവര് തമ്മില് നിരൂപിച്ചുസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് പിന്നെ നിങ്ങള് അവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു അവന് ചോദിക്കും.

5. And they reasoned within themselues, saying, If we shall say, From heauen, he will say, Why then beleeued ye him not?

6. മനുഷ്യരില്നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാലോ ജനം ഒക്കെയും യോഹന്നാന് ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് എന്നു ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നമ്മെ കല്ലെറിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു

6. But if we shall say, Of men, all the people will stone vs: for they be perswaded that Iohn was a Prophet.

7. എവിടെനിന്നോ ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

7. Therefore they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

8. യേശു അവരോടുഎന്നാല് ഞാന് ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഇന്ന അധികാരം കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. Then Iesus sayd vnto them, Neither tell I you, by what authoritie I doe these things.

9. അനന്തരം അവന് ജനത്തോടു ഉപമ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി കുടിയാന്മാരെ പാട്ടത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിച്ചിട്ടു ഏറിയ കാലം പരദേശത്തു പോയി പാര്ത്തു.

9. Then began he to speake to ye people this parable, A certaine man planted a vineyarde, and let it forth to husbandmen: and went into a strange countrey, for a great time.

10. സമയമായപ്പോള് കുടിയാന്മാരോടു തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ അനുഭവം വാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ഒരു ദാസനെ അയച്ചു; അവനെ കുടിയാന്മാര് തല്ലി വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

10. And at the time conuenient he sent a seruant to the husbandmen, that they should giue him of the fruite of the vineyard: but the husbandmen did beate him, and sent him away emptie.

11. അവന് മറ്റൊരു ദാസനെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവനെയും അവര് തല്ലി അപമാനിച്ചു വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

11. Againe he sent yet another seruant: and they did beate him, and foule entreated him, and sent him away emptie.

12. അവന് മൂന്നാമതു ഒരുത്തനെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവര് അവനെയും മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

12. Moreouer he sent the third, and him they wounded, and cast out.

13. അപ്പോള് മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥന് ഞാന് എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു? എന്റെ പ്രിയ പുത്രനെ അയക്കും; പക്ഷേ അവര് അവനെ ശങ്കിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. Then sayd the Lord of the vineyard, What shall I doe? I will send my beloued sonne: it may be that they will doe reuerence, when they see him.

14. കുടിയാന്മാര് അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുഇവന് അവകാശി; അവകാശം നമുക്കു ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നാം അവനെ കൊന്നുകളക എന്നു തമ്മില് ആലോചിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. But when the husbandmen sawe him, they reasoned with themselues, saying, This is the heire: come, let vs kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

15. അവര് അവനെ തോട്ടത്തില് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല് തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥന് അവരോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യും?

15. So they cast him out of the vineyarde, and killed him. What shall the Lord of the vineyarde therefore doe vnto them?

16. അവന് വന്നു ആ കുടിയാന്മാരെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചു തോട്ടം അന്യന്മാര്ക്കും ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും. അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവര് അങ്ങനെ ഒരുനാളും സംഭവിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

16. He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and wil giue out his vineyard to others. But when they heard it, they sayd, God forbid.

17. അവനോ അവരെ നോക്കി“എന്നാല് വീടുപണിയുന്നവര് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ കല്ലു മൂലക്കല്ലായിത്തീര്ന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

17. And he beheld them, and said, What meaneth this then that is written, The stone that the builders refused, that is made the head of the corner?

18. ആ കല്ലിന്മേല് വീഴുന്ന ഏവനും തകര്ന്നുപോകും; അതു ആരുടെ മേല് എങ്കിലും വീണാല് അവനെ ധൂളിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. Whosoeuer shall fall vpon that stone, shall be broken: and on whomsoeuer it shall fall, it will grinde him to pouder.

19. ഈ ഉപമ തങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു ആ നാഴികയില് തന്നേ അവന്റെ മേല് കൈവെപ്പാന് നോക്കി എങ്കിലും ജനത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.

19. Then the hie Priests, and the Scribes the same houre went about to lay hands on him: (but they feared the people) for they perceiued that he had spoken this parable against them.

20. പിന്നെ അവര് അവനെ നാടുവാഴിയുടെ അധീനതയിലും അധികാരത്തിലും ഏല്പിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അവനെ വാക്കില് പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തക്കം നോക്കി നീതിമാന്മാര് എന്നു നടിക്കുന്ന ഒറ്റുകാരെ അയച്ചു.

20. And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should faine themselues iust men, to take him in his talke, and to deliuer him vnto the power and authoritie of the gouernour.

21. അവര് അവനോടുഗുരോ, നീ നേര് പറഞ്ഞു ഉപദേശിക്കയും മുഖപക്ഷം നോക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി യഥാര്ത്ഥമായി പഠിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

21. And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest, and teachest right, neither doest thou accept mans person, but teachest the way of God truely.

22. നാം കൈസര്ക്കും കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

22. Is it lawfull for vs to giue Cesar tribute or no?

23. അവരുടെ ഉപായം ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവന് അവരോടുഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശ് കാണിപ്പിന് ;

23. But he perceiued their craftines, and sayd vnto them, Why tempt ye me?

24. അതിനുള്ള സ്വരൂപവും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുകൈസരുടേതു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Shew me a penie. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered, and sayd, Cesars.

25. എന്നാല് കൈസര്ക്കുംള്ളതു കൈസര്ക്കും ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളതു ദൈവത്തിന്നും കൊടുപ്പിന് എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. Then he sayd vnto them, Giue then vnto Cesar the things which are Cesars, and to God those which are Gods.

26. അങ്ങനെ അവര് ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ചു അവനെ വാക്കില് പിടിപ്പാന് കഴിയാതെ അവന്റെ ഉത്തരത്തില് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.

26. And they could not reproue his saying before the people: but they marueiled at his answere, and helde their peace.

27. പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന സദൂക്യരില് ചിലര് അടുത്തു വന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചതു

27. Then came to him certaine of the Sadduces (which denie that there is any resurrection) and they asked him,

28. ഗുരോ, ഒരുത്തന്റെ സഹോദരന് വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചിട്ടു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയാല് അവന്റെ സഹോദരന് അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു സഹോദരന്നു സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

28. Saying, Master, Moses wrote vnto vs, If any mans brother die hauing a wife, and hee die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise vp seede vnto his brother.

29. എന്നാല് ഏഴു സഹോദരന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരില് ഒന്നാമത്തവന് ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.

29. Now there were seuen brethren, and the first tooke a wife, and he dyed without children.

30. രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

30. And the second tooke the wife, and he dyed childelesse.

31. അവ്വണ്ണം ഏഴുപേരും ചെയ്തു മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയി.

31. Then the third tooke her: and so likewise the seuen dyed, and left no children.

32. ഒടുവില് സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.

32. And last of all the woman dyed also.

33. എന്നാല് പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തില് അവള് അവരില് ഏവന്നു ഭാര്യയാകും? ഏഴുവര്ക്കും ഭാര്യയായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

33. Therefore at the resurrection, whose wife of them shall she be? for seuen had her to wife.

34. അതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കയും വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

34. Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, The children of this world marry wiues, and are married.

35. എങ്കിലും ആ ലോകത്തിന്നും മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നുള്ള പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിന്നും യോഗ്യരായവര് വിവാഹം കഴിയക്കയുമില്ല വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല; അവര്ക്കും ഇനി മരിപ്പാനും കഴികയില്ല.

35. But they which shalbe counted worthy to enioy that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry wiues, neither are married.

36. അവന് പുനരുത്ഥാനപുത്രന്മാരാകയാല് ദൈവദൂതതുല്യരും ദൈവ പുത്രന്മാരും ആകുന്നു.

36. For they can die no more, forasmuch as they are equall vnto the Angels, and are the sonnes of God, since they are the children of the resurrection.

37. മരിച്ചവര് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നു എന്നതോ മോശെയും മുള്പ്പടര്പ്പുഭാഗത്തു കര്ത്താവിനെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്നു പറയുന്നതിനാല് സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

37. And that the dead shall rise againe, euen Moses shewed it besides the bush, when he said, The Lord is the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob.

38. For he is not the God of the dead, but of them which liue: for all liue vnto him.

39. അതിന്നു ചില ശാസ്ത്രിമാര്ഗുരോ, നീ പറഞ്ഞതു ശരി എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

39. Then certaine of the Scribes answered, and sayd, Master, thou hast well sayd.

40. പിന്നെ അവനോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാന് അവര് തുനിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

40. And after that, durst they not aske him any thing at all.

41. എന്നാല് അവന് അവരോടുക്രിസ്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന് എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

41. Then sayd he vnto them, Howe say they that Christ is Dauids sonne?

42. “കര്ത്താവു എന്റെ കര്ത്താവിനോടുഞാന് നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദ പീഠമാക്കുവോളം എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തിരിക്ക എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു”

42. And Dauid himselfe sayth in the booke of the Psalmes, The Lord sayd vnto my Lord, Sit at my right hand,

43. Till I shall make thine enemies thy footestoole.

44. Seeing Dauid called him Lord, howe is he then his sonne?

45. Then in the audience of all the people he sayd vnto his disciples,

46. നിലയങ്കികളോടെ നടപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കയും അങ്ങാടിയില് വന്ദനവും പള്ളിയില് മുഖ്യാസനവും അത്താഴത്തില് പ്രധാനസ്ഥലവും പ്രിയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ശാസ്ത്രിമാരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

46. Beware of the Scribes, which willingly go in long robes, and loue salutations in the markets, and the highest seates in the assemblies, and the chiefe roomes at feastes:

47. അവര് വിധവമാരുടെ വീടുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങുകയും ഉപായരൂപേണ ദീര്ഘമായി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ശിക്ഷാവിധിവരും.

47. Which deuoure widowes houses, and in shewe make long prayers: These shall receiue greater damnation.
