1. ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തില് ഒന്നാം നാള് മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ രാവിലെ ഇരുട്ടുള്ളപ്പോള് തന്നേ കല്ലറെക്കല് ചെന്നു കല്ലറവായ്ക്കല് നിന്നു കല്ലു നീങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

1. It was the first day of the week. Mary Magdalene came to the grave early in the morning while it was still dark. She saw that the stone had been pushed away from the grave.

2. അവള് ഔടി ശിമോന് പത്രൊസിന്റെയും യേശുവിന്നു പ്രിയനായ മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യന്റെയും അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുകര്ത്താവിനെ കല്ലറയില് നിന്നു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു;

2. She ran to Simon Peter and the other follower whom Jesus loved. She said to them, 'They have taken the Lord out of the grave. We do not know where they have put Him.'

3. അതുകൊണ്ടു പത്രൊസും മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യനും പുറപ്പെട്ടു കല്ലറെക്കല് ചെന്നു.

3. Then Peter and the other follower went to the grave.

4. ഇരുവരും ഒന്നിച്ചു ഔടി; മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യന് പത്രൊസിനെക്കാള് വേഗത്തില് ഔടി ആദ്യം കല്ലെറക്കല് എത്തി;

4. They ran but the other follower ran faster than Peter and came to the grave first.

5. കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി ശീലകള് കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അകത്തു കടന്നില്ലതാനും.

5. He got down and looked in and saw the linen cloths but did not go in.

6. അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ശിമോന് പത്രൊസും വന്നു കല്ലറയില് കടന്നു

6. Then Simon Peter came and went into the grave. He saw the linen cloths lying there.

7. ശീലകള് കിടക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ തലയില് ചുറ്റിയിരുന്നറൂമാല് ശീലകളോടുകൂടെ കിടക്കാതെ വേറിട്ടു ഒരിടത്തു ചുരുട്ടി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

7. The white cloth that had been around the head of Jesus was not lying with the other linen cloths. It was rolled up and lying apart by itself.

8. ആദ്യം കല്ലെറക്കല് എത്തിയ മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യനും അപ്പോള് അകത്തു ചെന്നു കണ്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

8. Then the other follower, who had come first, went in also. He saw and believed.

9. അവന് മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തു അവര് അതുവരെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

9. They still did not understand what the Holy Writings meant when they said that He must rise again from the dead.

10. അങ്ങനെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

10. Then the followers went back again to their homes.

11. എന്നാല് മറിയ കല്ലെറക്കല് പുറത്തു കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നു. കരയുന്നിടയില് അവള് കല്ലറയില് കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.

11. Mary stood outside the grave crying. As she cried, she got down and looked inside the grave.

12. യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം കിടന്നിരുന്ന ഇടത്തു വെള്ളവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു ദൂതന്മാര് ഒരുത്തന് തലെക്കലും ഒരുത്തന് കാല്ക്കലും ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

12. She saw two angels dressed in white clothes. They were sitting where the body of Jesus had lain. One angel was where His head had lain and one angel was where His feet had lain.

13. അവര് അവളോടുസ്ത്രീയേ, നീ കരയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്റെ കര്ത്താവിനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവള് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. They said to her, 'Woman, why are you crying?' She said to them, 'Because they have taken away my Lord. I do not know where they have put Him.'

14. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവള് പിന്നോക്കം തിരിഞ്ഞു, യേശു നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; യേശു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞില്ല താനും.

14. After saying this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there. But she did not know that it was Jesus.

15. യേശു അവളോടുസ്ത്രീയേ, നീ കരയുന്നതു എന്തു? ആരെ തിരയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവന് തോട്ടക്കാരന് എന്നു നിരൂപിച്ചിട്ടു അവള്യജമാനനേ, നീ അവനെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോയി എങ്കില് അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതരിക; ഞാന് അവനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. He said to her, 'Woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?' She thought He was the man who cared for the garden. She said to Him, 'Sir, if you have taken Jesus from here, tell me where you have put Him. I will take Him away.'

16. യേശു അവളോടുമറിയയേ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവള് തിരിഞ്ഞു എബ്രായഭാഷയില്റബ്ബൂനി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;

16. Jesus said to her, 'Mary!' She turned around and said to Him, 'Teacher!'

17. അതിന്നു ഗുരു എന്നര്ത്ഥം. യേശു അവളോടുഎന്നെ തൊടരുതു; ഞാന് ഇതുവരെ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കയറിപ്പോയില്ല; എങ്കിലും നീ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുഎന്റെ പിതാവും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവും എന്റെ ദൈവവും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവവുമായവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഞാന് കയറിപ്പോകുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Jesus said to her, 'Do not hold on to Me. I have not yet gone up to My Father. But go to My brothers. Tell them that I will go up to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God!'

18. മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ വന്നു താന് കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടു എന്നും അവന് ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നും ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

18. Mary Magdalene went and told the followers that she had seen the Lord. She told them the things He had said to her.

19. ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാള് ആയ ആ ദിവസം, നേരംവൈകിയപ്പോള് ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഇരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു യെഹൂദന്മാരെ പേടിച്ചു വാതില് അടെച്ചിരിക്കെ യേശു വന്നു നടുവില് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. It was evening of the first day of the week. The followers had gathered together with the doors locked because they were afraid of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said, 'May you have peace.'

20. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് കയ്യും വിലാപ്പുറവും അവരെ കാണിച്ചു; കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

20. When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. When the followers saw the Lord, they were filled with joy.

21. യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം; പിതാവു എന്നെ അയച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാനും നിങ്ങളെ അയക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. Then Jesus said to them again, 'May you have peace. As the Father has sent Me, I also am sending you.'

22. ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞശേഷം അവന് അവരുടെമേല് ഊതി അവരോടുപരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ കൈക്കൊള്വിന് .

22. When Jesus had said this, He breathed on them. He said, 'Receive the Holy Spirit.

23. ആരുടെ പാപങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള് മോചിക്കുന്നവോ അവര്ക്കും മോചിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരുടെ പാപങ്ങള് നിര്ത്തുന്നുവോ അവര്ക്കും നിര്ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. If you say that people are free of sins, they are free of them. If you say that people are not free of sins, they still have them.'

24. എന്നാല് യേശു വന്നപ്പോള് പന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുവനായ ദിദിമൊസ് എന്ന തോമാസ് അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

24. Thomas was not with them when Jesus came. He was one of the twelve followers and was called the Twin.

25. മറ്റേ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാറെഞാന് അവന്റെ കൈകളില് ആണിപ്പഴുതു കാണുകയും ആണിപ്പഴുതില് വിരല് ഇടുകയും അവന്റെ വിലാപ്പുറത്തു കൈ ഇടുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. The other followers told him, 'We have seen the Lord!' He said to them, 'I will not believe until I see the marks made by the nails in His hands. I will not believe until I put my finger into the marks of the nails. I will not believe until I put my hand into His side.'

26. എട്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് പിന്നെയും അകത്തു കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോള് തോമാസും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. വാതില് അടെച്ചിരിക്കെ യേശു വന്നു നടുവില് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. Eight days later the followers were again inside a house. Thomas was with them. The doors were locked. Jesus came and stood among them. He said, 'May you have peace!'

27. പിന്നെ തോമാസിനോടുനിന്റെ വിരല് ഇങ്ങോട്ടു നീട്ടി എന്റെ കൈകളെ കാണ്ക; നിന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി എന്റെ വിലാപ്പുറത്തു ഇടുക; അവിശ്വാസി ആകാതെ വിശ്വാസിയായിരിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. He said to Thomas, 'Put your finger into My hands. Put your hand into My side. Do not doubt, believe!'

28. തോമാസ് അവനോടുഎന്റെ കര്ത്താവും എന്റെ ദൈവവും ആയുള്ളോവേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

28. Thomas said to Him, 'My Lord and my God!'

29. യേശു അവനോടുനീ എന്നെ കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു; കാണാതെ വിശ്വസിച്ചവര് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. Jesus said to him, 'Thomas, because you have seen Me, you believe. Those are happy who have never seen Me and yet believe!'

30. ഈ പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതല്ലാതെ മറ്റു അനേകം അടയാളങ്ങളും യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കാണ്കെ ചെയ്തു.

30. Jesus did many other powerful works in front of His followers. They are not written in this book.

31. എന്നാല് യേശു ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുഎന്നു നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്റെ നാമത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ജീവന് ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നും ഇതു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

31. But these are written so you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. When you put your trust in Him, you will have life that lasts forever through His name.
