1. ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തില് ഒന്നാം നാള് മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ രാവിലെ ഇരുട്ടുള്ളപ്പോള് തന്നേ കല്ലറെക്കല് ചെന്നു കല്ലറവായ്ക്കല് നിന്നു കല്ലു നീങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

1. The first day of ye Sabbothes, came Marie Magdalene early, whe it was yet darke, vnto the sepulchre, and sawe the stone taken awaye from the graue.

2. അവള് ഔടി ശിമോന് പത്രൊസിന്റെയും യേശുവിന്നു പ്രിയനായ മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യന്റെയും അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുകര്ത്താവിനെ കല്ലറയില് നിന്നു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു;

2. Then she ranne, & came to Simo Peter, & to the other disciple who Iesus loued, & saith vnto the: They haue take away the Lorde out of the graue, & we can not tell where they haue layde him.

3. അതുകൊണ്ടു പത്രൊസും മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യനും പുറപ്പെട്ടു കല്ലറെക്കല് ചെന്നു.

3. Peter therfore went foorth, and that other disciple, & came to the sepulchre.

4. ഇരുവരും ഒന്നിച്ചു ഔടി; മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യന് പത്രൊസിനെക്കാള് വേഗത്തില് ഔടി ആദ്യം കല്ലെറക്കല് എത്തി;

4. They ran both together, & the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre:

5. കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി ശീലകള് കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അകത്തു കടന്നില്ലതാനും.

5. And when he had stowped downe, he sawe the linnen clothes lying, yet went he not in.

6. അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ശിമോന് പത്രൊസും വന്നു കല്ലറയില് കടന്നു

6. Then came Simon Peter folowyng hym, and went into the sepulchre, and sawe the lynnen clothes lye,

7. ശീലകള് കിടക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ തലയില് ചുറ്റിയിരുന്നറൂമാല് ശീലകളോടുകൂടെ കിടക്കാതെ വേറിട്ടു ഒരിടത്തു ചുരുട്ടി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

7. And the napkin yt was about his head not lying with the linnen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by it selfe.

8. ആദ്യം കല്ലെറക്കല് എത്തിയ മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യനും അപ്പോള് അകത്തു ചെന്നു കണ്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

8. Then went in also that other disciple, whiche came first to the sepulchre, and he sawe, and beleued.

9. അവന് മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തു അവര് അതുവരെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

9. For as yet they knew not ye scripture, that he should rise agayne from death.

10. അങ്ങനെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

10. Then the disciples wet away agayne vnto their owne house.

11. എന്നാല് മറിയ കല്ലെറക്കല് പുറത്തു കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നു. കരയുന്നിടയില് അവള് കല്ലറയില് കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.

11. Marie stoode without at the sepulchre weepyng: So, as she wepte, she bowed her selfe into the sepulchre,

12. യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം കിടന്നിരുന്ന ഇടത്തു വെള്ളവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു ദൂതന്മാര് ഒരുത്തന് തലെക്കലും ഒരുത്തന് കാല്ക്കലും ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

12. And seeth two angels clothed in white, sittyng, the one at the head, & the other at the feete, where the body of Iesus was layde.

13. അവര് അവളോടുസ്ത്രീയേ, നീ കരയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്റെ കര്ത്താവിനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവള് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. They saye vnto her: Woman, why weepest thou? She saith vnto the: For they haue taken away my Lorde, & I wote not where they haue layde him.

14. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവള് പിന്നോക്കം തിരിഞ്ഞു, യേശു നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; യേശു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞില്ല താനും.

14. When she had thus sayde, she turned her selfe backe, and sawe Iesus standyng, and knewe not that it was Iesus.

15. യേശു അവളോടുസ്ത്രീയേ, നീ കരയുന്നതു എന്തു? ആരെ തിരയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവന് തോട്ടക്കാരന് എന്നു നിരൂപിച്ചിട്ടു അവള്യജമാനനേ, നീ അവനെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോയി എങ്കില് അവനെ എവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതരിക; ഞാന് അവനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. Iesus saith vnto her: Woman, why weepest thou? Whom sekest thou? She supposing that he had ben the gardener, saith vnto him: Sir, if thou haue borne him hence, tel me where thou hast layde hym, and I wyll fet hym.

16. യേശു അവളോടുമറിയയേ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവള് തിരിഞ്ഞു എബ്രായഭാഷയില്റബ്ബൂനി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;

16. Iesus sayth vnto her, Marie. She turned her selfe, and sayde vnto hym: Rabboni, which is to say, Maister.

17. അതിന്നു ഗുരു എന്നര്ത്ഥം. യേശു അവളോടുഎന്നെ തൊടരുതു; ഞാന് ഇതുവരെ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കയറിപ്പോയില്ല; എങ്കിലും നീ എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുഎന്റെ പിതാവും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവും എന്റെ ദൈവവും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവവുമായവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഞാന് കയറിപ്പോകുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Iesus saith vnto her: Touche me not, for I am not yet ascended to my father: But go to my brethren, and saye vnto them, I ascende vnto my father and your father, and to my God & your God.

18. മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ വന്നു താന് കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടു എന്നും അവന് ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നും ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

18. Marie Magdalene came and tolde the disciples that she had seene ye Lorde, and that he had spoken suche thynges vnto her.

19. ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാള് ആയ ആ ദിവസം, നേരംവൈകിയപ്പോള് ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഇരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു യെഹൂദന്മാരെ പേടിച്ചു വാതില് അടെച്ചിരിക്കെ യേശു വന്നു നടുവില് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. The same day at nyght, whiche was the first day of the Sabbothes, when the doores were shut, where the disciples were assembled together for feare of the Iewes, came Iesus and stoode in the myddes, and sayth vnto them, peace be vnto you.

20. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് കയ്യും വിലാപ്പുറവും അവരെ കാണിച്ചു; കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

20. And when he had so sayde, he shewed vnto them his handes & his syde. Then were the disciples glad, when they sawe the Lorde.

21. യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം; പിതാവു എന്നെ അയച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാനും നിങ്ങളെ അയക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. Then sayde Iesus to them agayne, peace be vnto you: As my father sent me, euen so sende I you also.

22. ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞശേഷം അവന് അവരുടെമേല് ഊതി അവരോടുപരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ കൈക്കൊള്വിന് .

22. And when he had saide those wordes, he breathed on them, & saith vnto them: Receaue ye the holy ghost.

23. ആരുടെ പാപങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള് മോചിക്കുന്നവോ അവര്ക്കും മോചിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരുടെ പാപങ്ങള് നിര്ത്തുന്നുവോ അവര്ക്കും നിര്ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. Whosoeuers sinnes ye remit, they are remitted vnto them: And whosoeuers sinnes ye retayne, they are retayned.

24. എന്നാല് യേശു വന്നപ്പോള് പന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുവനായ ദിദിമൊസ് എന്ന തോമാസ് അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

24. But Thomas, one of the twelue, [which is] called Didymus, was not with them when Iesus came.

25. മറ്റേ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാറെഞാന് അവന്റെ കൈകളില് ആണിപ്പഴുതു കാണുകയും ആണിപ്പഴുതില് വിരല് ഇടുകയും അവന്റെ വിലാപ്പുറത്തു കൈ ഇടുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. The other disciples therfore sayde vnto hym, we haue seene the Lorde. But he sayde vnto them: Except I see in his handes the print of the nayles, and put my fynger into the prynt of the nayles, and thruste my hande into his syde, I wyll not beleue.

26. എട്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് പിന്നെയും അകത്തു കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോള് തോമാസും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. വാതില് അടെച്ചിരിക്കെ യേശു വന്നു നടുവില് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. And after eyght dayes, againe his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: Then came Iesus, when the doores were shutte, and stoode in the myddes, and sayde, peace be vnto you.

27. പിന്നെ തോമാസിനോടുനിന്റെ വിരല് ഇങ്ങോട്ടു നീട്ടി എന്റെ കൈകളെ കാണ്ക; നിന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി എന്റെ വിലാപ്പുറത്തു ഇടുക; അവിശ്വാസി ആകാതെ വിശ്വാസിയായിരിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. After that said he to Thomas: Bring thy fynger hyther, and see my handes, & reache hyther thy hande, and thrust it into my syde, and be not faythlesse, but beleuyng.

28. തോമാസ് അവനോടുഎന്റെ കര്ത്താവും എന്റെ ദൈവവും ആയുള്ളോവേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

28. Thomas aunswered, and sayde vnto hym: My Lorde, and my God.

29. യേശു അവനോടുനീ എന്നെ കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു; കാണാതെ വിശ്വസിച്ചവര് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. Iesus sayth vnto hym: Thomas, because thou hast seene me, thou hast beleued: Blessed are they that haue not seene, and yet haue beleued.

30. ഈ പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതല്ലാതെ മറ്റു അനേകം അടയാളങ്ങളും യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കാണ്കെ ചെയ്തു.

30. And many other signes truely dyd Iesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this booke.

31. എന്നാല് യേശു ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുഎന്നു നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്റെ നാമത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ജീവന് ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നും ഇതു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

31. These are written, that ye myght beleue that Iesus is Christe the sonne of God, and that in beleuyng, ye myght haue lyfe through his name.
