1. അതിന്റെ ശേഷം യേശു പിന്നെയും തിബെര്യ്യാസ് കടല്ക്കരയില് വെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; പ്രത്യക്ഷനായതു ഈ വിധം ആയിരുന്നു

1. Jesus later appeared to his disciples along the shore of Lake Tiberias.

2. ശിമോന് പത്രൊസും ദിദിമൊസ് എന്ന തോമാസും ഗലീലയിലുള്ള കാനയിലെ നഥനയേലും സെബെദിമക്കളും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് വേറെ രണ്ടുപേരും ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയിരുന്നു.

2. Simon Peter, Thomas the Twin, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, and the brothers James and John, were there, together with two other disciples.

3. ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ് അവരോടുഞാന് മീന് പിടിപ്പാന് പോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞങ്ങളും പോരുന്നു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു. അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു പടകു കയറി പോയി; ആ രാത്രിയില് ഒന്നും പിടിച്ചില്ല.

3. Simon Peter said, 'I'm going fishing!' The others said, 'We will go with you.' They went out in their boat. But they didn't catch a thing that night.

4. പുലര്ച്ച ആയപ്പോള് യേശു കരയില് നിന്നിരുന്നു; യേശു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

4. Early the next morning Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize who he was.

5. യേശു അവരോടുകുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, കൂട്ടുവാന് വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; ഇല്ല എന്നു അവര് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

5. Jesus shouted, 'Friends, have you caught anything?' 'No!' they answered.

6. പടകിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു വല വീശുവിന് ; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കിട്ടും എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര് വീശി, മീനിന്റെ പെരുപ്പം ഹേതുവായി അതു വലിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

6. So he told them, 'Let your net down on the right side of your boat, and you will catch some fish.' They did, and the net was so full of fish that they could not drag it up into the boat.

7. യേശു സ്നേഹിച്ച ശിഷ്യന് പത്രൊസിനോടുഅതു കര്ത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കര്ത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ് കേട്ടിട്ടു, താന് നഗ്നനാകയാല് അങ്കി അരയില് ചുറ്റി കടലില് ചാടി.

7. Jesus' favorite disciple told Peter, 'It's the Lord!' When Simon heard that it was the Lord, he put on the clothes that he had taken off while he was working. Then he jumped into the water.

8. ശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കരയില് നിന്നു ഏകദേശം ഇരുനൂറു മുഴത്തില് അധികം ദൂരത്തല്ലായ്കയാല് മീന് നിറഞ്ഞ വല ഇഴെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ചെറിയ പടകില് വന്നു.

8. The boat was only about a hundred yards from shore. So the other disciples stayed in the boat and dragged in the net full of fish.

9. കരെക്കു ഇറെങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവര് തീക്കനലും അതിന്മേല് മീന് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും അപ്പവും കണ്ടു.

9. When the disciples got out of the boat, they saw some bread and a charcoal fire with fish on it.

10. യേശു അവരോടുഇപ്പോള് പിടിച്ച മീന് ചിലതു കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. Jesus told his disciples, 'Bring some of the fish you just caught.'

11. ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ് കയറി നൂറ്റമ്പത്തുമൂന്നു വലിയ മീന് നിറഞ്ഞ വല കരെക്കു വലിച്ചു കയറ്റി; അത്ര വളരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നിട്ടും വല കീറിയില്ല.

11. Simon Peter got back into the boat and dragged the net to shore. In it were one hundred fifty-three large fish, but still the net did not rip.

12. യേശു അവരോടുവന്നു പ്രാതല് കഴിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കര്ത്താവാകുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തനുംനീ ആര് എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാന് തുനിഞ്ഞില്ല.

12. Jesus said, 'Come and eat!' But none of the disciples dared ask who he was. They knew he was the Lord.

13. യേശു വന്നു അപ്പം എടുത്തു അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തു; മീനും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ യേശു മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യം ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

13. Jesus took the bread in his hands and gave some of it to his disciples. He did the same with the fish.

14. യേശു മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നാംപ്രവാശ്യം ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

14. This was the third time that Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from death.

15. അവര് പ്രാതല് കഴിച്ചശേഷം യേശു ശിമോന് പത്രൊസിനോടുയോഹന്നാന്റെ മകനായ ശിമോനേ, നീ ഇവരില് അധികമായി എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉവ്വു, കര്ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടു എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ മേയ്ക്ക എന്നു അവന് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. When Jesus and his disciples had finished eating, he asked, 'Simon son of John, do you love me more than the others do?' Simon Peter answered, 'Yes, Lord, you know I do!' 'Then feed my lambs,' Jesus said.

16. Jesus asked a second time, 'Simon son of John, do you love me?' Peter answered, 'Yes, Lord, you know I love you!' 'Then take care of my sheep,' Jesus told him.

17. Jesus asked a third time, 'Simon son of John, do you love me?' Peter was hurt because Jesus had asked him three times if he loved him. So he told Jesus, 'Lord, you know everything. You know I love you.' Jesus replied, 'Feed my sheep.

18. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നുനീ യൌവനക്കാരന് ആയിരുന്നപ്പോള് നീ തന്നേ അര കെട്ടി ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളേടത്തു നടന്നു; വയസ്സനായശേഷമോ നീ കൈ നീട്ടുകയും മറ്റൊരുത്തന് നിന്റെ അര കെട്ടി നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാത്ത ഇടത്തേക്കു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. I tell you for certain that when you were a young man, you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted to go. But when you are old, you will hold out your hands. Then others will wrap your belt around you and lead you where you don't want to go.'

19. അതിനാല് അവന് ഇന്നവിധം മരണം കൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നു അവന് സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു; ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുഎന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. Jesus said this to tell how Peter would die and bring honor to God. Then he said to Peter, 'Follow me!'

20. പത്രൊസ് തിരിഞ്ഞു യേശു സ്നേഹിച്ച ശിഷ്യന് പിന് ചെല്ലുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അത്താഴത്തില് അവന്റെ നെഞ്ചോടു ചാഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടുകര്ത്താവേ, നിന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവന് ആര് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതു ഇവന് തന്നേ.

20. Peter turned and saw Jesus' favorite disciple following them. He was the same one who had sat next to Jesus at the meal and had asked, 'Lord, who is going to betray you?'

21. അവനെ പത്രൊസ് കണ്ടിട്ടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഇവന്നു എന്തു ഭവിക്കും എന്നു യേശുവിനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

21. When Peter saw that disciple, he asked Jesus, 'Lord, what about him?'

22. യേശു അവനോടുഞാന് വരുവോളം ഇവന് ഇരിക്കേണമെന്നു എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് അതു നിനക്കു എന്തു? നീ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. Jesus answered, 'What is it to you, if I want him to live until I return? You must follow me.'

23. ആകയാല് ആ ശിഷ്യന് മരിക്കയില്ല എന്നൊരു ശ്രുതി സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് പരന്നു. യേശുവോഅവര് മരിക്കയില്ല എന്നല്ല, ഞാന് വരുവോളം ഇവന് ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നു എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുണ്ടെങ്കില് അതു നിനക്കു എന്തു എന്നത്രേ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു.

23. So the rumor spread among the other disciples that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say he would not die. He simply said, 'What is it to you, if I want him to live until I return?'

24. ഈ ശിഷ്യന് ഇതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നവനും ഇതു എഴുതിയവനും ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

24. This disciple is the one who told all of this. He wrote it, and we know he is telling the truth.

25. യേശു ചെയ്തതു മറ്റു പലതും ഉണ്ടു; അതു ഔരോന്നായി എഴുതിയാല് എഴുതിയ പുസ്തകങ്ങള് ലോകത്തില് തന്നേയും ഒതുങ്ങുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.

25. Jesus did many other things. If they were all written in books, I don't suppose there would be room enough in the whole world for all the books.
