2. അവനെ വിളിച്ചാറെ തെര്ത്തുല്ലൊസ് അന്യായം വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

2. And when he was called foorth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that we haue obtained great quietnesse through thee, and that many worthy things are done vnto this nation through thy prouidence,

3. രാജശ്രീ ഫേലിക്സേ, നീമുഖാന്തരം ഞങ്ങള് വളരെ സമാധാനം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നതും നിന്റെ പരിപാലനത്താല് ഈ ജാതിക്കു ഏറിയ ഗുണീകരണങ്ങള് സാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും ഞങ്ങള് എപ്പോഴും എല്ലായിടത്തും പൂര്ണ്ണനന്ദിയോടും കൂടെ അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നു.

3. We acknowledge it wholy, and in all places most noble Felix, with all thankes,

4. എങ്കിലും നിന്നെ അധികം അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തരുത് എന്നുവെച്ചു ക്ഷമയോടെ ചുരുക്കത്തില് ഞങ്ങളുടെ അന്യായം കേള്ക്കേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

4. But that I be not tedious vnto thee, I pray thee, that thou wouldest heare vs of thy courtesie a fewe wordes.

5. ഈ പുരുഷന് ഒരു ബാധയും ലോകത്തിലുള്ള സകല യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെയും ഇടയില് കലഹമുണ്ടാക്കുന്നവനും നസറായമതത്തിന്നു മുമ്പനും എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Certainely we haue found this man a pestilent fellowe, and a moouer of sedition among all the Iewes throughout the world, and a chiefe maintainer of the secte of the Nazarites:

6. അവന് ദൈവാലയം തീണ്ടിപ്പാനും ശ്രമിച്ചു. അവനെ ഞങ്ങള് പിടിച്ചു (ഞങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം വിസ്തരിപ്പാന് വിചാരിച്ചു.

6. And hath gone about to pollute the Temple: therefore wee tooke him, and woulde haue iudged him according to our Lawe:

7. എങ്കിലും സഹസ്രാധിപനായ ലുസിയാസ് വളരെ ബലത്തോടു വന്നു അവനെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയി.

7. But the chiefe captaine Lysias came vpon vs, and with great violence tooke him out of our handes,

8. അവന്റെ വാദികള് നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വരുവാന് കല്പിച്ചു) നീ തന്നേ അവനെ വിസ്തരിച്ചാല് ഞങ്ങള് അന്യായം ബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഈ സകല സംഗതികളും അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വാന് ഇടയാകും.

8. Commanding his accusers to come to thee: of whom thou mayest (if thou wilt inquire) know all these things whereof we accuse him.

9. അതു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാരും യോജിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. And the Iewes likewise affirmed, saying that it was so.

10. സംസാരിക്കാം എന്നു ദേശാധിപതി ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടിയാറെ പൌലൊസ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഈ ജാതിക്കു നീ അനേകസംവത്സരമായി ന്യായാധിപതി ആയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിക കെണ്ടു എന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് ഞാന് ധൈര്യത്തോടെ പ്രതിവാദം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

10. Then Paul, after that the gouernour had beckened vnto him that hee shoulde speake, answered, I do the more gladly answere for my selfe, for as much as I knowe that thou hast bene of many yeres a iudge vnto this nation,

11. ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമില് നമസ്കരിപ്പാന് പോയിട്ടു പന്ത്രണ്ടു നാളില് അധികമായില്ല എന്നു നിനക്കു അറിയാകുന്നതാകുന്നു.

11. Seeing that thou mayest knowe, that there are but twelue dayes since I came vp to worship in Hierusalem.

12. ദൈവാലയത്തിലോ പള്ളികളിലോ നഗരങ്ങളിലോവെച്ചു ആരോടും വാദിക്കയെങ്കിലും പുരുഷാരത്തില് കലഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യുന്നാതായി അവര് എന്നെ കണ്ടില്ല.

12. And they neither found mee in the Temple disputing with any man, neither making vproare among the people, neither in the Synagogues, nor in the citie.

13. ഇന്നു എന്റെ നേരെ ബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അന്യായം നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ തെളിയിപ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും കഴിയുന്നതുമല്ല.

13. Neither can they proue the things, whereof they now accuse me.

14. എന്നാല് ഒന്നു ഞാന് സമ്മതിക്കുന്നുമതഭേദം എന്നു ഇവര് പറയുന്ന മാര്ഗ്ഗപ്രകാരം ഞാന് പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവത്തെ ആരാധിക്കയും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിലും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും വിശ്വസിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

14. But this I confesse vnto thee, that after the way (which they call heresie) so worship I the God of my fathers, beleeuing all things which are written in the Lawe and the Prophets,

15. നീതിമാന്മാരുടെയും നീതികെട്ടവരുടെയും പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു ഇവര് കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാനും ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് ആശവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
ദാനീയേൽ 12:2

15. And haue hope towardes God, that the resurrection of the dead, which they themselues looke for also, shalbe both of iust and vniust.

16. അതു കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ദൈവത്തോടും മനുഷ്യരോടും കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത മനസ്സാക്ഷി എല്ലായ്പോഴും ഉണ്ടായിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു.

16. And herein I endeuour my selfe to haue alway a cleare conscience towarde God, and toward men.

17. പലസംവത്സരം കൂടീട്ടു ഞാന് എന്റെ ജാതിക്കാര്ക്കും ധര്മ്മം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാനും വഴിപാടു കഴിപ്പാനും വന്നു.

17. Now after many yeres, I came and brought almes to my nation and offerings.

18. അതു അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുമ്പോള് അവര് എന്നെ ദൈവാലയത്തില്വെച്ചു ശുദ്ധീകരണം കഴിഞ്ഞവനായി കണ്ടു; പുരുഷാരത്തോടു കൂടിയല്ല, കലഹത്തോടുകൂടിയുമല്ല.

18. At what time, certaine Iewes of Asia founde mee purified in the Temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.

19. എന്നാല് ആസ്യക്കാരായ ചില യെഹൂദന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും എന്റെ നേരെ അന്യായം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് വന്നു ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു.

19. Who ought to haue bene present before thee, and accuse me, if they had ought against me.

20. അല്ല, ഞാന് ന്യായാധിപസംഘത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിലക്കുമ്പോള് മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ വിസ്തരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞോരു വാക്കല്ലാതെ

20. Or let these themselues say, if they haue found any vniust thing in mee, while I stoode in the Council,

21. അവിടെ വെച്ചു എന്റെ പക്കല് വല്ല കുറ്റവും കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടങ്കില് ഇവര് തന്നേ പറയട്ടെ

21. Except it be for this one voyce, that I cried standing among them, Of the resurrection of the dead am I accused of you this day.

22. ഫേലിക്സിന്നു ഈ മാര്ഗ്ഗം സംബന്ധിച്ചു സൂക്ഷ്മമായ അറിവു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നിട്ടുംലുസിയാസ് സഹസ്രാധിപന് വരുമ്പോള് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യം തീര്ച്ചപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവധിവെച്ചു,

22. Nowe when Felix heard these things, he deferred them, and said, When I shall more perfectly know the things which concerne this way, by the comming of Lysias the chiefe Captaine, I will decise your matter.

23. ശതാധിപനോടു അവനെ തടവില് തന്നേ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു ദയകാണിപ്പാനും അവന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാര് അവന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നതു വിരോധിക്കാതിരിപ്പാനും കല്പിച്ചു.

23. Then hee commanded a Centurion to keepe Paul, and that he should haue ease, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister vnto him, or to come vnto him.

24. കുറെനാള് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഫേലിക്സ് യെഹൂദ സ്ത്രീയായ തന്റെ ഭാര്യ ദ്രുസില്ലയുമായി വന്നു, പൌലൊസിനെ വരുത്തി ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അവന്റെ പ്രസംഗം കേട്ടു.

24. And after certaine dayes, came Felix with his wife Drusilla, which was a Iewesse, and he called foorth Paul, and heard him of the faith in Christ.

25. എന്നാല് അവന് നീതി, ഇന്ദ്രീയജയം, വരുവാനുള്ള ന്യായവിധി എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോള് ഫേലിക്സ് ഭയപരവശനായിതല്ക്കാലം പോകാം; അവസരം ഉള്ളപ്പോള് നിന്നെ വിളിപ്പിക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. And as he disputed of righteousnes and temperance, and of the iudgement to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time, and when I haue conuenient time, I will call for thee.

26. പൌലൊസ് തനിക്കു ദ്രവ്യം തരും എന്നു ആശിച്ചു പലപ്പോഴും അവനെ വരുത്തി അവനോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു പോന്നു.

26. Hee hoped also that money shoulde haue bene giuen him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore hee sent for him the oftner, and communed with him.

27. രണ്ടാണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഫേലിക്സിന്നു പിന് വാഴിയായി പൊര്ക്ക്യൊസ് ഫെസ്തൊസ് വന്നപ്പോള് ഫേലിക്സ് യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പ്രീതി സമ്പാദിക്കേണം എന്നു വെച്ചു പൌലൊസിനെ തടവുകാരനായി വിട്ടേച്ചുപോയി.

27. When two yeeres were expired, Porcius Festus came into Felix roume: and Felix willing to get fauour of the Iewes, left Paul bound.
