1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ആത്മികവരങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറിവില്ലാതിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

1. Concernyng spirituall gyftes, brethren, I woulde not haue you ignoraunt.

2. നിങ്ങള് ജാതികള് ആയിരുന്നപ്പോള് നിങ്ങളെ നടത്തിയതുപോലെ ഊമവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് പോക പതിവായിരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
ഹബക്കൂക്‍ 2:18-19

2. Ye knowe yt ye were gentiles, and caryed away vnto dumbe idols, as ye were led.

3. ആകയാല് ദൈവാത്മാവില് സംസാരിക്കുന്നവന് ആരും യേശു ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നു പറകയില്ല; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവില് അല്ലാതെ യേശു കര്ത്താവു എന്നു പറവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴികയുമില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

3. Wherfore I declare vnto you, that no man speakyng by the spirite of God, defieth Iesus. Also no man can say that Iesus is ye Lord, but by the holy ghost.

4. എന്നാല് കൃപാവരങ്ങളില് വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; ആത്മാവു ഒന്നത്രേ.

4. There are diuersities of gyftes, but the spirite [is] one.

5. ശുശ്രൂഷകളില് വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; കര്ത്താവു ഒരുവന് .

5. And there are differences of administrations, but the Lorde [is] one.

6. വീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികളില് വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും എല്ലാവരിലും എല്ലാം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം ഒരുവന് തന്നേ.

6. And there are diuers maners of operations, but God is one, which worketh all in all.

7. എന്നാല് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു ആത്മാവിന്റെ പ്രകാശനം പൊതുപ്രയോജനത്തിന്നായി നല്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

7. The manifestation of the spirite, is geuen to euery man, to profite withall.

8. ഒരുത്തന്നു ആത്മാവിനാല് ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വചനവും മറ്റൊരുത്തന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാല് പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വചനവും നല്കപ്പെടുന്നു;

8. For to one is geuen by the spirite, the worde of wisdome, to another the word of knowledge, by the same spirite:

9. വേറൊരുത്തന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാല് വിശ്വാസം, മറ്റൊരുവന്നു അതേ ആത്മാവിനാല് രോഗശാന്തികളുടെ വരം;

9. To another [is geuen] fayth, by the same spirite: to another the giftes of healyng by the same spirite:

10. മറ്റൊരുവന്നു വീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികള്; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു പ്രവചനം; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു ആത്മാക്കളുടെ വിവേചനം; വേറൊരുവന്നു പലവിധ ഭാഷകള്; മറ്റൊരുവന്നു ഭാഷകളുടെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം.

10. To another, power to do miracles, to another, prophesie, to another [iudgement] to discerne spirites, to another, diuers kyndes of tongues, to another, the interpretation of tongues.

11. എന്നാല് ഇതു എല്ലാം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നതു താന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അവനവന്നു അതതു വരം പകുത്തുകൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരേ ആത്മാവു തന്നേ.

11. But these all worketh euen one and the selfe same spirite, deuidyng to euery man a seuerall gyft, as he wyll.

12. ശരീരം ഒന്നും, അതിന്നു അവയവം പലതും ശരീരത്തിന്റെ അവയവം പലതായിരിക്കെ എല്ലാം ഒരു ശരീരവും ആയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവും.

12. For as the body is one, & hath many members, and all the members of one body, though they be many, [yet] are [but] one body: euen so is Christe.

13. യെഹൂദന്മാരോ യവനന്മാരോ ദാസന്മാരോ സ്വതന്ത്രരോ നാം എല്ലാവരും ഏകശരീരമാകുമാറു ഒരേ ആത്മാവില് സ്നാനം ഏറ്റും എല്ലാവരും ഒരേ ആത്മാവിനെ പാനംചെയ്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. For by one spirite, are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Iewes or gentiles, whether [we be] bonde or free: and haue all drunke of one spirite.

14. ശരീരം ഒരു അവയവമല്ല പലതത്രേ.

14. For the body is not one member, but many.

15. ഞാന് കൈ അല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു കാല് പറയുന്നു എങ്കില് അതിനാല് അതു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു വരികയില്ല.

15. If the foote woulde say, because I am not the hande, I am not of the body: is it therfore not of the body?

16. ഞാന് കണ്ണു അല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു ചെവി പറയുന്നു എങ്കില് അതിനാല് അതു ശരീരത്തിലുള്ളതല്ല എന്നും വരികയില്ല.

16. And yf the eare woulde say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body: is it therfore not of the body?

17. ശരീരം മുഴുവന് കണ്ണായാല് ശ്രവണം എവിടെ? മുഴുവന് ശ്രവണം ആയാല് ഘ്രാണം എവിടെ?

17. If all the body [were] an eye, where were then the hearyng? If all [were] hearyng, where were the smellyng?

18. ദൈവമോ തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം അവയവങ്ങളെ ശരീരത്തില് വെവ്വേറായി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. But nowe hath God set ye members, euery one seuerally in the body, as it hath pleased hym.

19. സകലവും ഒരു അവയവം എങ്കില് ശരീരം എവിടെ?

19. For yf they were all one member, where were the body?

20. എന്നാല് അവയവങ്ങള് പലതെങ്കിലും ശരീരം ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

20. Nowe are there many members, yet but one body.

21. കണ്ണിന്നു കയ്യോടുനിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആവശ്യമില്ല എന്നും, തലെക്കു കാലുകളോടുനിങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ആവശ്യമില്ല എന്നുംപറഞ്ഞുകൂടാ.

21. And the eye can not say vnto ye hande, I haue no neede of thee: Nor, the head agayne to the feete, I haue no neede of you.

22. ശരീരത്തില് ബലം കുറഞ്ഞവ എന്നു തോന്നുന്ന അവയവങ്ങള് തന്നേ ആവശ്യമുള്ളവയാകുന്നു.

22. Yea, rather a great deale, those members of the body which seeme to be more feeble, are necessary:

23. ശരീരത്തില് മാനം കുറഞ്ഞവ എന്നു തോന്നുന്നവേക്കു നാം അധികം മാനം അണിയിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മില് അഴകു കുറഞ്ഞവേക്കു അധികം അഴകു വരുത്തുന്നു;

23. And vpon those members of the body which we thynke least honest, put we more honestie on. And our vncomely partes, haue more comelynesse on.

24. നമ്മില് അഴകുള്ള അവയവങ്ങള്ക്കു അതു ആവശ്യമില്ലല്ലോ.

24. For our comely members neede it not: But God hath tempered the body together, and hath geuen the more honour to that [part] which lacked:

25. ശരീരത്തില് ഭിന്നത വരാതെ അവയവങ്ങള് അന്യോന്യം ഒരുപോലെ കരുതേണ്ടതിന്നായി ദൈവം കുറവുള്ളതിന്നു അധികം മാനം കൊടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു ശരീരത്തെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. Lest there shoulde be any stryfe in the body: but that the members shoulde haue the same care one for another.

26. അതിനാല് ഒരുഅവയവം കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അവയവങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും കൂടെ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു; ഒരു അവയവത്തിന്നു മാനം വന്നാല് അവയവങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയുംകൂടെ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.

26. And yf one member suffer, all suffer with it. If one member be had in honour, all the members reioyce with it.

27. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശരീരവും ഔരോരുത്തന് വെവ്വേറായി അവയവങ്ങളും ആകുന്നു.

27. Ye are the body of Christe, and members one of another.

28. ദൈവം സഭയില് ഒന്നാമതു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാര്, രണ്ടാമതു പ്രവാചകന്മാര് മൂന്നാമതു ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാര് ഇങ്ങനെ ഔരോരുത്തരെ നിയമിക്കയും പിന്നെ വീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികള്, രോഗശാന്തികളുടെ വരം, സഹായം ചെയ്വാനുള്ള വരം, പരിപാലനവരം, വിവിധഭാഷാവരം എന്നിവ നലകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

28. And God hath ordayned some in the Churche, first Apostles, secondarely, prophetes, thirdely teachers, then them that do miracles: after that, the giftes of healyng, helpers, gouernours, diuersitie of tongues.

29. എല്ലാവരും അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരോ? എല്ലാവരും വീര്യ്യപ്രവൃത്തികള് ചെയ്യുന്നവരോ?

29. Are all, Apostles? are all, prophetes? are all, teachers?

30. എല്ലാവര്ക്കും രോഗശാന്തിക്കുള്ള വരംഉണ്ടോ? എല്ലാവരും അന്യഭാഷകളില് സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവോ?

30. Are all, doers of miracles? Haue all the giftes of healyng? Do all speake with tongues? Do all interprete?

31. എല്ലാവരും വ്യാഖ്യാനിക്കുന്നുവോ? ശ്രേഷ്ഠവരങ്ങളെ വാഞ്ഛിപ്പിന് ; ഇനി അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠമായോരു മാര്ഗ്ഗം ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരാം.

31. Couet after the best giftes: And yet shew I vnto you a more excellent way.
