1. Finally, brothers, I wish you joy in the Lord. To write to you what I have already written before is no trouble to me and to you will be a protection.

3. We are the true people of the circumcision since we worship by the Spirit of God and make Christ Jesus our only boast, not relying on physical qualifications,

4. പക്ഷേ എനിക്കു ജഡത്തിലും ആശ്രയിപ്പാന് വകയുണ്ടു; മറ്റാര്ക്കാനും ജഡത്തില് ആശ്രയിക്കാം എന്നു തോന്നിയാല് എനിക്കു അധികം;

6. as for religious fervour, I was a persecutor of the Church; as for the uprightness embodied in the Law, I was faultless.

7. എങ്കിലും എനിക്കു ലാഭമായിരുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തു നിമിത്തം ചേതം എന്നു എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. But what were once my assets I now through Christ Jesus count as losses.

10. അവനില് ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അവന്റെ മരണത്തോടു അനുരൂപപ്പെട്ടിട്ടു അവനെയും അവന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ശക്തിയെയും

10. that I may come to know him and the power of his resurrection, and partake of his sufferings by being moulded to the pattern of his death,

11. striving towards the goal of resurrection from the dead.

12. ലഭിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നോ, തികഞ്ഞവനായി എന്നോ അല്ല, ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനാല് പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കും അതു പിടിക്കാമോ എന്നുവെച്ചു പിന്തുടരുന്നതേയുള്ള.

12. Not that I have secured it already, nor yet reached my goal, but I am still pursuing it in the attempt to take hold of the prize for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

13. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാന് പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കുന്നില്ല.

13. Brothers, I do not reckon myself as having taken hold of it; I can only say that forgetting all that lies behind me, and straining forward to what lies in front,

14. ഒന്നു ഞാന് ചെയ്യുന്നുപിമ്പിലുള്ളതു മറന്നും മുമ്പിലുള്ളതിന്നു ആഞ്ഞും കൊണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരമവിളിയുടെ വിരുതിന്നായി ലാക്കിലേക്കു ഔടുന്നു.

14. I am racing towards the finishing-point to win the prize of God's heavenly call in Christ Jesus.

15. നമ്മില് തികഞ്ഞവര് ഒക്കെയും ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊള്ക; വല്ലതിലും നിങ്ങള് വേറെവിധമായി ചിന്തിച്ചാല് ദൈവം അതുവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിത്തരും.

15. So this is the way in which all of us who are mature should be thinking, and if you are still thinking differently in any way, then God has yet to make this matter clear to you.

16. എന്നാല് നാം പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പരിജ്ഞാനം തന്നേ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുക.

16. Meanwhile, let us go forward from the point we have each attained.

17. Brothers, be united in imitating me. Keep your eyes fixed on those who act according to the example you have from me.

18. ഞാന് പലപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ അനേകര് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ക്രൂശിന്നു ശത്രുക്കളായി നടക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഇപ്പോള് കരഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു പറയുന്നു.

18. For there are so many people of whom I have often warned you, and now I warn you again with tears in my eyes, who behave like the enemies of Christ's cross.

19. They are destined to be lost; their god is the stomach; they glory in what they should think shameful, since their minds are set on earthly things.

20. നമ്മുടെ പൌരത്വമോ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ആകുന്നു; അവിടെ നിന്നു കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തു രക്ഷിതാവായി വരും എന്നു നാം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. But our homeland is in heaven and it is from there that we are expecting a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ,

21. അവന് സകലവും തനിക്കു കീഴ്പെടുത്തുവാന് കഴിയുന്ന തന്റെ വ്യാപാരശക്തികൊണ്ടു നമ്മുടെ താഴ്ചയുള്ള ശരീരത്തെ തന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള ശരീരത്തോടു അനുരൂപമായി രൂപാന്തരപ്പെടുത്തും.

21. who will transfigure the wretched body of ours into the mould of his glorious body, through the working of the power which he has, even to bring all things under his mastery.
