1. എന്നാല് ക്ഷാമം ദേശത്തു കഠിനമായി തീര്ന്നു.

1. Bvt the derth oppressed ye lande.

2. അവര് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുവന്ന ധാന്യം തിന്നു തീര്ന്നപ്പോള് അവരുടെ അപ്പന് അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് ഇനിയും പോയി കുറെ ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. And whan all the vytales that they had brought out of Egipte were spent, Iacob their father sayde vnto them: Go agayne, and bye vs a litle foode.

3. അതിന്നു യെഹൂദാ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ മുഖം കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു അദ്ദേഹം തീര്ച്ചയായി ഞങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. The Iuda answered him, and sayde: The man sware vnto vs, and sayde: ye shal not se my face, excepte youre brother be with you.

4. നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെ ഞങ്ങളുടെക്കുടെ അയച്ചാല് ഞങ്ങള് ചെന്നു ആഹാരം വാങ്ങി കൊണ്ടുവരാം;

4. Yf so be now that thou wilt sende oure brother with vs, we wil go downe, and bye the foode.

5. അയക്കാഞ്ഞാലോ ഞങ്ങള് പോകയില്ല. നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ല എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ മുഖം കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു അദ്ദേഹം ഞങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. But yf thou wilt not sende him, we wyl not go downe. For the man sayde vnto vs: Ye shal not se my face, excepte youre brother be with you.

6. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇനിയും ഒരു സഹോദരന് ഉണ്ടെന്നു നിങ്ങള് അദ്ദേഹത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞു എനിക്കു ഈ ദോഷം വരുത്തിയതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു യിസ്രായേല് പറഞ്ഞു.

6. Israel sayde: Wherfore haue ye done this euell vnto me, to tell ye man, that ye had yet a brother?

7. അതിന്നു അവര്നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? നിങ്ങള്ക്കും ഇനിയും ഒരു സഹോദരന് ഉണ്ടോ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം ഞങ്ങളെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ വംശത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു താല്പര്യമായി ചോദിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള് ഇതൊക്കെയും അറിയിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെ ഇവിടെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു അദ്ദേഹം പറയുമെന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. They answered: The man enquered so strately of vs and of oure kynrede, & sayde: Is youre father yet a lyue? Haue ye yet a brother? Then tolde we him, as he axed vs. How coulde we knowe, that he wolde saye: brynge youre brother downe wt you?

8. പിന്നെ യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുഞങ്ങളും നീയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികളും മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ബാലനെ എന്നോടുകൂടെ അയക്കേണം; എന്നാല് ഞങ്ങള് പോകാം.

8. Then sayde Iuda vnto Israel his father: Let the lad go with me, that we maye get vs vp and take oure iourney, and lyue, and not dye, both we and thou, and oure childre.

9. ഞാന് അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഉത്തരവാദിയായിരിക്കാം; നീ അവനെ എന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു ചോദിക്കേണം; ഞാന് അവനെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവനെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിര്ത്തുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് ഞാന് സദാകാലം നിനക്കു കുറ്റക്കാരനായിക്കൊള്ളാം.

9. I wyll be suertye for him, of my handes shalt thou requyre him. Yf I brynge him not vnto the agayne, & set him before thine eyes, I wil beare ye blame my life longe.

10. ഞങ്ങള് താമസിച്ചിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് ഇപ്പോള് രണ്ടുപ്രാവശ്യം പോയി വരുമായിരുന്നു.

10. For yf we had not made this tarienge, we had now bene come agayne twyse.

11. അപ്പോള് അവരുടെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേല് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുഅങ്ങനെയെങ്കില് ഇതു ചെയ്വിന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പാത്രങ്ങളില് കുറെ സുഗന്ധപ്പശ, കുറെ തേന് , സാംപ്രാണി, സന്നിനായകം, ബോടനണ്ടി, ബദാമണ്ടി എന്നിങ്ങളെ ദേശത്തിലെ വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളില് ചിലതൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുപോയി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്നു കാഴ്ചവെപ്പിന് .

11. Then sayde Israel their father vnto the: Yf it must nedes be so, then do this: take of the best frutes of the lande in youre sackes, and brynge the man a present: a curtesy balme, and hony, and spyces, and myrre, and dates, and almondes.

12. ഇരട്ടിദ്രവ്യവും കയ്യില് എടുത്തുകൊള്വിന് ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കല് മടങ്ങിവന്ന ദ്രവ്യവും കയ്യില് തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിന് ; പക്ഷേ അതു കൈമറിച്ചലായിരിക്കും.

12. Take other money with you also, and the money that was brought agayne in youre sacke mouthes, cary it agayne with you: peraduenture it was an ouersight.

13. നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെയും കൂട്ടി പുറപ്പെട്ടു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വീണ്ടും ചെല്ലുവിന് .

13. And take youre brother, get you vp, & go agayne vnto the man.

14. അവന് നിങ്ങളുടെ മറ്റേ സഹോദരനെയും ബേന്യാമീനെയും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ അയക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സര്വ്വശക്തിയുള്ള ദൈവം അവന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു കരുണ തോന്നിക്കട്ടെ; എന്നാല് ഞാന് മക്കളില്ലാത്തവനാകേണമെങ്കില് ആകട്ടെ.

14. The Allmightie God geue you mercy in the sight of ye man, that he maye let you haue youre other brother, and Ben Iamin. As for me, I must be as one, that is robbed of his children.

15. അങ്ങനെ അവര് ആ കാഴ്ചയും ഇരട്ടിദ്രവ്യവും എടുത്തു ബെന്യാമീനെയും കൂട്ടി പുറപ്പെട്ടു മിസ്രയീമില് ചെന്നു യോസേഫീന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു.

15. Then they toke the present, and other money with them, and Ben Iamin, gat the vp, and wente in to Egipte, and stode before Ioseph.

16. അവരോടുകൂടെ ബെന്യാമീനെ കണ്ടപ്പോള് അവന് തന്റെ ഗൃഹ വിചാരകനോടുനീ ഈ പുരുഷന്മാരെ വീട്ടില് കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോക; അവര് ഉച്ചെക്കു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കേണ്ടതാകയാല് മൃഗത്തെ അറുത്തു ഒരുക്കിക്കൊള്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

16. Then Ioseph behelde them with Ben Iamin, and sayde vnto the ruler of his house: Bringe these men in, and sley, & make ready, for they shal dyne with me at noone.

17. യോസേഫ് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവന് ചെയ്തു; അവരെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടില് കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി.

17. And the man dyd as Ioseph bad him, & brought the men in to Iosephs house.

18. തങ്ങളെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടില് കൊണ്ടുപോകയാല് അവര് ഭയപ്പെട്ടുആദ്യത്തെ പ്രാവശ്യം നമ്മുടെ ചാക്കില് മടങ്ങിവന്ന ദ്രവ്യം നിമിത്തം നമ്മെ പിടിച്ചു അടിമകളാക്കി നമ്മുടെ കഴുതകളെയും എടുത്തുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നാകുന്നു നമ്മെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. Whan they were brought in to Iosephs house, they were afrayed, and sayde: We are brought hither because of the money, that came agayne in oure sackes at the first, to pyke a quarell with vs, and to laye somethinge to oure charge, and to take vs for bonde seruauntes with oure Asses.

19. അവര് യോസേഫിന്റെ ഗൃഹവിചാരകന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു, വീട്ടുവാതില്ക്കല്വെച്ചു അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു

19. Therfore came they to ye man, that was ruler of Iosephs house, and talked wt him at the doore,

20. യജമാനനേ, ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാന് ഞങ്ങള് മുമ്പെ വന്നിരുന്നു.

20. and sayde: Syr, we came downe at the first to bye foode,

21. ഞങ്ങള് വഴിയമ്പലത്തില് ചെന്നു ചാകൂ അഴിച്ചപ്പോള് ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം മുഴുവനും അവനവന്റെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കല് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതു ഞങ്ങള് വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. and whan we came in the Inne, and opened oure sackes, beholde, euery mans money was in his sack mouth with full weight: therfore haue we brought it with vs agayne,

22. ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാന് വേറെ ദ്രവ്യവും ഞങ്ങള് കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ടു; ദ്രവ്യം ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കില് വെച്ചതു ആരെന്നു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. & haue brought other money with vs also, to bye foode: but we can not tell, who put oure money in oure sackes.

23. അതിന്നു അവന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സാമാധാനം; നിങ്ങള് ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം, നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ ദൈവം തന്നേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നിക്ഷേപം തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദ്രവ്യം എനിക്കു കിട്ടി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ശിമെയോനെയും അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

23. He sayde: Be content, feare you not, youre God euen ye God of youre fathers hath geue you yt treasure in youre sackes, I had youre money. And he brought forth Simeon vnto them,

24. പിന്നെ അവന് അവരെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നകത്തു കെണ്ടുപോയി; അവര്ക്കും വെള്ളം കൊടുത്തു, അവര് കാലുകളെ കഴുകി; അവരുടെ കഴുതകള്ക്കു അവന് തീന് കൊടുത്തു.

24. and led them into Iosephs house, and gaue them water to wash their fete, & gaue their Asses prouender.

25. ഉച്ചെക്കു യോസേഫ് വരുമ്പോഴേക്കു അവര് കാഴ്ച ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചു; തങ്ങള്ക്കു ഭക്ഷണം അവിടെ എന്നു അവര് കേട്ടിരുന്നു.

25. And they made readye ye present, ageynst Ioseph came at noone: for they herde, yt they shulde dyne there.

26. യോസേഫ് വീട്ടില്വന്നപ്പോള് അവര് കൈവശമുള്ള കാഴ്ച അകത്തുകൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വെച്ചു അവനെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

26. Now whan Ioseph wente in to the house, they brought him home ye present that they had, and fell downe to the grounde before him.

27. അവന് അവരോടു കുശലപ്രശ്നം ചെയ്തുനിങ്ങള് പറഞ്ഞ വൃദ്ധന് , നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന് സൌഖ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവന് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

27. But he welcomed them curteously, and sayde: Is youre father, (that olde man which ye tolde me of) in good health? Is he yet alyue?

28. അതിന്നു അവര്ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനായ നിന്റെ അടിയാന്നു സുഖം തന്നേ; അവന് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു കുനിഞ്ഞു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

28. They answered: Thy seruaunt oure father is in good health, and is yet alyue. And they bowed them selues, and fell downe before him.

29. പിന്നെ അവന് തല ഉയര്ത്തി, തന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മകനും തന്റെ അനുജനുമായ ബെന്യാമീനെ കണ്ടുനിങ്ങള് എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇളയസഹോദരനോ ഇവന് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചുദൈവം നിനക്കു കൃപനല്കട്ടെ മകനേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And he lift vp his eyes, and sawe his brother Ben Iamin his mothers sonne, and saide: Is this youre yongest brother, that ye tolde me of? And he sayde morouer: God be mercifull vnto the my sonne.

30. അനുജനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു യോസേഫിന്റെ മനസ്സു ഇരുകിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് കരയേണ്ടതിന്നു ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു സ്ഥലം അന്വേഷിച്ചു, അറയില്ചെന്നു അവിടെവെച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു.

30. And Ioseph made haist (for the grounde of his hert was kyndled towarde his brother) and sought how he might wepe, & wente in to his chamber, and wepte there.

31. പിന്നെ അവന് മുഖം കഴുകി പുറത്തു വന്നു തന്നെത്താന് അടക്കിഭക്ഷണം കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

31. And whan he had washed his face, he wente out, and refrayned him self, and sayde: set bred (on the table.)

32. അവര് അവന്നു പ്രത്യേകവും അവര്ക്കും പ്രത്യേകവും, അവനോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്ന മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും പ്രത്യേകവും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു വെച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യര് എബ്രായരോടു കൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയില്ല; അതു മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

32. And they brought vnto him by him self, and vnto them by the selues, and to the Egipcians also that ate wt them, by them selues. (For the Egipcians darre not eate bred with the Ebrues, that is an abhominacion vnto them.)

33. മൂത്തവന് മുതല് ഇളയവന് വരെ പ്രായത്തിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം അവരെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരുത്തി; അവര് അന്യോന്യം നോക്കി ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.

33. And they were set ouer agaynst him, the first borne acordinge to his first byrth, and the yongest after his youth. They marueled at it amonge them selues,

34. അവന് തന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു അവര്ക്കും ഔഹരികൊടുത്തയച്ചു; ബെന്യാമീന്റെ ഔഹരി മറ്റവരുടെ ഔഹരിയുടെ അഞ്ചിരട്ടിയായിരുന്നു; അവര് പാനംചെയ്തു അവനോടുകൂടെ ആഹ്ളാദിച്ചു.

34. and there were brought them sundrye meates from his table. But Ben Iamins parte was fyue tymes more then the other. And they dronke, and were mery with him.
