1. ഞാന് എന്റെ ശബ്ദം ഉയര്ത്തി ദൈവത്തോടു, എന്റെ ശബ്ദം ഉയര്ത്തി ദൈവത്തോടു തന്നേ നിലവിളിക്കും; അവന് എനിക്കു ചെവിതരും.

1. To the Chief Musician. On 'Jeduthun.' Asaph's, a Melody. With my voice unto God, will I make outcry, With my voice unto God, and he will give ear unto me;

2. കഷ്ടദിവസത്തില് ഞാന് യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു. രാത്രിയില് എന്റെ കൈ തളരാതെ മലര്ത്തിയിരുന്നു; എന്റെ ഉള്ളം ആശ്വാസം നിരസിച്ചു.

2. In the day of my distress unto My Lord, will I seek, My hand, by night, hath been outstretched and never once became slack, My soul, hath refused to be consoled;

3. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തെ ഔര്ത്തു വ്യാകുലപ്പെടുന്നു; ഞാന് ധ്യാനിച്ചു, എന്റെ ആത്മാവു വിഷാദിക്കുന്നു. സേലാ.

3. I remember God and I murmur, I muse, and my spirit swooneth. Selah.

4. നീ എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു ഉറക്കം തടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; സംസാരിപ്പാന് കഴിയാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. Thou hast held, watching, mine eyes, I was driven to and fro, and could not speak;

5. ഞാന് പൂര്വ്വദിവസങ്ങളെയും പണ്ടത്തെ സംവത്സരങ്ങളെയും വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.

5. I reasoned, Of the days of aforetime, Of the years of by-gone ages;

6. രാത്രിയില് ഞാന് എന്റെ സംഗീതം ഔര്ക്കുംന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ആത്മാവും ശോധന കഴിക്കുന്നു.

6. I remember my song in the night, With my own heart, I commune, And my spirit, maketh search:

7. കര്ത്താവു എന്നേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളയുമോ? അവന് ഇനി ഒരിക്കലും അനുകൂലമായിരിക്കയില്ലയോ?

7. For ages, will My Lord reject? And, not again, grant acceptance any more?

8. അവന്റെ ദയ സദാകാലത്തേക്കും പൊയ്പോയോ? അവന്റെ വാഗ്ദാനം തലമുറതലമുറയോളം ഇല്ലാതെയായ്പോയോ?

8. Hath his lovingkindness, come to a perpetual end? Hath his word failed to generation after generation?

9. ദൈവം കൃപ കാണിപ്പാന് മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവന് കോപത്തില് തന്റെ കരുണ അടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? സേലാ.

9. Hath GOD, forgotten to show favour? Or hath he shut up, in anger, his compassions? Selah.

10. എന്നാല് അതു എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയാകുന്നു; അത്യുന്നതന്റെ വലങ്കൈ വരുത്തിയ സംവത്സരങ്ങള് തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

10. Then said I An affliction to me, it is, The changing of the right hand of the Most High.

11. ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ വര്ണ്ണിക്കും; നിന്റെ പണ്ടത്തെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കും.

11. I will remember the doings of Yah, Surely I will remember, out of aforetime, thy wonderful way;

12. ഞാന് നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയെയും കുറിച്ചു ധ്യാനിക്കും; നിന്റെ ക്രിയകളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാന് ചിന്തിക്കും.

12. And will talk to myself of all thy work, And, of thy doings, will I muse:

13. ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ വഴി വിശുദ്ധമാകുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തെപ്പോലെ വലിയ ദൈവം ആരുള്ളു?

13. O God, in the sanctuary, is thy way, Who is a great GOD like Elohim?

14. നീ അത്ഭുതം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ബലത്തെ നീ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. Thou, art GOD, doing wonderfully, Thou hast made known, among the peoples, thy might;

15. തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; യാക്കോബിന്റെയും യോസേഫിന്റെയും മക്കളെ തന്നേ. സേലാ.

15. Thou didst redeem, with thine arm Thy people, Thy sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

16. ദൈവമേ, വെള്ളങ്ങള് നിന്നെ കണ്ടു, വെള്ളങ്ങള് നിന്നെ കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിച്ചു, ആഴികളും വിറെച്ചുപോയി.

16. The waters saw thee, O God, The waters saw thee, They were in birth-throes, Yea the resounding deeps were stirred;

17. മേഘങ്ങള് വെള്ളം ചൊരിഞ്ഞു; ആകാശം നാദം മുഴക്കി; നിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങള് പരക്കെ പറന്നു.

17. The clouds, poured down waters, The skies uttered, a voice, Yea, thine arrows, flew hither and thither;

18. നിന്റെ ഇടിമുഴക്കം ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റില് മുഴങ്ങി; മിന്നലുകള് ഭൂതലത്തെ പ്രകാശിപ്പിച്ചു; ഭൂമി കുലുങ്ങി നടുങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

18. The, voice of thy thunder, was in the whirlwind, Thy lightnings illumined the world, The earth, trembled and quaked;

19. നിന്റെ വഴി സമുദ്രത്തിലും നിന്റെ പാതകള് പെരുവെള്ളത്തിലും ആയിരുന്നു; നിന്റെ കാല്ചുവടുകളെ അറിയാതെയുമിരുന്നു.

19. In the sea, was thy way, And, thy path, in the mighty waters, And, thy footprints, could not be known:

20. മോശെയുടെയും അഹരോന്റെയും കയ്യാല് നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ ഒരു ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെ പോലെ നടത്തി. (ആസാഫിന്റെ ധ്യാനം.)

20. Thou didst lead, like a flock, thy people, By the hand of Moses and Aaron.
