1. 6. എന്നാല് ഒരുവന് ശണവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു നദിയിലെ വെള്ളത്തിന്മീതെ നിലക്കുന്ന പുരുഷനോടുഈ അതിശയകാര്യങ്ങളുടെ അവസാനം എപ്പോള് വരും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

6. And [one] said to the man clothed in linen, who [was] above the waters of the river, How long [shall it be to] the end of these wonders?

7. And I heard the man clothed in linen, who [was] above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished the breaking up of the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.

8. And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what [shall be] the end of these [things]?

9. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുദാനീയേലേ, പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ക; ഈ വചനങ്ങള് അന്ത്യകാലത്തേക്കു അടെച്ചും മുദ്രയിട്ടും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

9. And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10. പലരും തങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു നിര്മ്മലീകരിച്ചു ശോധനകഴിക്കും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോ, ദുഷ്ടതപ്രവര്ത്തിക്കും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരില് ആരും അതു തിരിച്ചറികയില്ല; ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരോ ഗ്രഹിക്കും.

10. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

11. നിരിന്തരഹോമയാഗം നിര്ത്തലാക്കുകയും ശൂന്യമാക്കുന്ന മ്ളേച്ഛബിംബത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കാലംമുതല് ആയിരത്തിരുനൂറ്റിത്തൊണ്ണൂറു ദിവസം ചെല്ലും.

13. But go thou thy way till the end: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
