1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

2. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് എനിക്കു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു അഹരോനും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നില്ക്കേണമെന്നും എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതെന്നും അവരോടു പറയേണം. ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

2. Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, That they hold sacredly aloof from the holy things of the sons of Israel, so as not to profane my holy name, in the things which they are hallowing unto me I, am Yahweh.

3. നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നിങ്ങളുടെ തലമുറകളില് നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലസന്തതിയിലും ആരെങ്കിലും അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കുമ്പോള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യഹോവേക്കു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങളോടു അടുത്താല് അവനെ എന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം; ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

3. Say unto them Unto your generations, as touching any man who cometh near from among any of your seed, unto the hallowed things which the sons of Israel may hallow unto Yahweh, while his uncleanness is upon him, then shall that person be cut off from before me I, am Yahweh.

4. അഹരോന്റെ സന്തതിയില് ആരെങ്കിലും കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയോ ശുക്ളസ്രവക്കാരനോ ആയാല് അവന് ശുദ്ധനായിത്തീരുംവരെ വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു; ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധമായ യാതൊന്നെങ്കിലും തൊടുന്നവനും ബീജസ്ഖലനം ഉണ്ടായവനും

4. No man soever of the seed of Aaron who is a leper, or hath a flux, shall eat of the holy things, until he be clean, And as for him who toucheth anything that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;

5. അശുദ്ധിവരുത്തുന്ന യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയെ എങ്കിലും വല്ല അശുദ്ധിയുമുണ്ടായിട്ടു അശുദ്ധിവരുത്തുന്ന മനുഷ്യനെ എങ്കിലും തൊടുന്നവനും

5. or a man who toucheth any creeping thing, which is unclean to him, or toucheth any human being who hath uncleanness, to the extent of any thing that maketh him unclean,

6. ഇങ്ങനെ തൊട്ടുതീണ്ടിയവന് സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം; അവന് ദേഹം വെള്ളത്തില് കഴുകിയല്ലാതെ വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു.

6. any person who toucheth any such, shall then be unclean until the evening, and shall not eat of the hallowed things, unless he bathe his flesh in water.

7. സൂര്യന് അസ്തമിച്ചശേഷം അവന് ശുദ്ധനാകും; പിന്നെ അവന്നു വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിക്കാം; അതു അവന്റെ ആഹാരമല്ലോ.

7. When the sun tooth in, then is he clean, and thereafter, he may eat of the hallowed things, for, his food, it is.

8. താനേ ചത്തതിനെയും പറിച്ചുകീറിപ്പോയതിനെയും തിന്നിട്ടു തന്നെത്താല് അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു; ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

8. That which dieth of itself or is torn in pieces, shall he not eat to make himself unclean thereby, I, am Yahweh.

9. ആകയാല് അവര് എന്റെ പ്രമാണങ്ങളെ നിസ്സാരമാക്കി തങ്ങളുടെ മേല് പാപം വരുത്തുകയും അതിനാല് മരിക്കയും ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് അവ പ്രമാണിക്കേണം; ഞാന് അവരെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

9. Therefore shall they keep my charge, and shall not bear, for it, sin, and die therein, when they profane it, I Yahweh, am hallowing them.

10. യാതൊരു അന്യനും വിശുദ്ധസാധനം ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു; പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു പാര്ക്കുംന്നവനും കൂലിക്കാരനും വിശുദ്ധസാധനം ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു.

10. And, no stranger, shall eat what is hallowed, neither, one who dwelleth with a priest nor a hireling shall eat what is hallowed.

11. എന്നാല് പുരോഹിതന് ഒരുത്തനെ വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയാല് അവന്നും വീട്ടില് പിറന്നുണ്ടായവന്നും ഭക്ഷിക്കാം; ഇവര്ക്കും അവന്റെ ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിക്കാം.

11. But when, a priest, buyeth any person, as the purchase of his silver, he may eat thereof, and, the children of his household, they, may eat of his food.

12. പുരോഹിതന്റെ മകള് അന്യകുടുംബക്കാരന്നു ഭാര്യയായാല് അവള് വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങളായ വഴിപാടു ഒന്നും ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു.

12. And, when, a priest's daughter, belongeth to a husband, who is a stranger, she, of the heave-offering of the hallowed things, may not eat.

13. പുരോഹിതന്റെ മകള് വിധവയോ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളോ ആയി സന്തതിയില്ലാതെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു തന്റെ ബാല്യത്തില് എന്നപോലെ മടങ്ങിവന്നാല് അവള്ക്കു അപ്പന്റെ ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിക്കാം; എന്നാല് യാതൊരു അന്യനും അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു.

13. But, when a priest's daughter, cometh to be a widow or divorced and hath no seed, and so she returneth unto the house of her father, as in her youth, of the food of her father, she may eat, but no stranger, shall eat thereof.

14. ഒരുത്തന് അബദ്ധവശാല് വിശുദ്ധസാധനം ഭക്ഷിച്ചുപോയാല് അവന് വിശുദ്ധസാധനം അഞ്ചില് ഒരംശവും കൂട്ടി പുരോഹിതന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം.

14. And, when, any man, eateth what is hallowed, by mistake, then shall he add the fifth part of it thereunto, and give unto the priest the hallowed thing:

15. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യഹോവേക്കു അര്പ്പിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങള് അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു.

15. So shall they not profane the hallowed things of the sons of Israel, which they heave up unto Yahweh;

16. അവരുടെ വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതില് അവരുടെ മേല് അകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ കുറ്റം വരുത്തരുതു; ഞാന് അവരെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

16. nor cause them to bear guilty iniquity, when they eat their hallowed things, For, I Yahweh, am hallowing them.

17. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

17. And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

18. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പ്രസാദം ലഭിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു മാടുകളില് നിന്നോ ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളില്നിന്നോ കോലാടുകളില്നിന്നോ ഊനമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ആണായിരിക്കേണം.

18. Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them What man, soever, of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners in Israel, may bring near his oblation, as regardeth any of their vows, or any of their freewill offerings which they may bring near unto Yahweh, as an ascending-sacrifice,

19. ഊനമുള്ള യാതൊന്നിനെയും നിങ്ങള് അര്പ്പിക്കരുതു; അതിനാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കയില്ല.

19. that ye may be accepted, it must be a male without defect, of the beeves, or of the sheep, or of the goats:

20. കുരുടു, ചതവു, മുറിവു, മുഴ, ചൊറി, പുഴുക്കടി എന്നിവയുള്ള യാതൊന്നിനെയും യഹോവേക്കു അര്പ്പിക്കരുതു; ഇവയില് ഒന്നിനെയും യഹോവേക്കു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് ദഹനയാഗമായി അര്പ്പിക്കരുതു;

20. whatsoever hath in it a blemish, shall ye not bring near, for it shall not he accepted for you.

21. അവയവങ്ങളില് ഏതെങ്കിലും നീളം കൂടിയോ കുറഞ്ഞോ ഇരിക്കുന്ന കാളയെയും കുഞ്ഞാടിനെയും സ്വമേധാദാനമായിട്ടു അര്പ്പിക്കാം; എന്നാല് നേര്ച്ചയായിട്ടു അതു പ്രസാദമാകയില്ല.

21. And, whosoever would bring near a peace-offering unto Yahweh, to consecrate a vow or as a freewill-offering with a bullock or a sheep, without defect, shall it be, to be accepted, no, blemish, shall be therein.

22. വരിചതെച്ചതോ എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞതോ ഉടെച്ചതോ മുറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതോ ആയുള്ളതിനെ നിങ്ങള് യഹോവേക്കു അര്പ്പിക്കരുതു; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു ചെയ്യരുതു.

22. Blind, or broken, or rent, or having a running sore, or scurvy, or scab, ye shall not bring these near unto Yahweh, and no, altar-flame, shall ye present therefrom upon the altar, unto Yahweh.

23. അന്യന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ഒന്നിനെയും വാങ്ങി നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനമായിട്ടു അര്പ്പിക്കരുതു; അവേക്കു കേടും കുറവും ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു അവയാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കയില്ല.

23. Whether an ox or a lamb long or short limb, as a free-will offering, thou mayest offer it, but, for a vow, it shall not he accepted.

24. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്

24. But that which is bruised in the stones or broken therein, or torn or cut, shall ye neither bring ear unto Yahweh, nor on your own land, shall ye offer.

25. ഒരു കാളയോ ചെമ്മരിയാടോ കോലാടോ പിറന്നാല് ഏഴു ദിവസം തള്ളയുടെ അടുക്കല് ഇരിക്കേണം; എട്ടാം ദിവസം മുതല് അതു യഹോവേക്കു ദഹനയാഗമായി പ്രസാദമാകും.

25. Even at the hand of the son of a stranger, shall ye not bring near the food of your God of any of these, for, their damage is in them, a blemish, is in them, they shall not be accepted for you.

26. പശുവിനെയോ പെണ്ണാടിനെയോ അതിനെയും കുട്ടിയെയും ഒരു ദിവസത്തില് അറുക്കരുതു.

26. And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

27. യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രയാഗം അര്പ്പിക്കുമ്പോള് അതു പ്രസാദമാകത്തക്കവണ്ണം അര്പ്പിക്കേണം.

27. When, a beeve or a sheep or a goat, is brought forth, then shall it be seven days under its dam, and, from the eighth day and onwards, it shall be accepted as an oblation of an altar-flame unto Yahweh,

28. അന്നു തന്നേ അതിനെ തിന്നേണം; രാവിലെവരെ അതില് ഒട്ടും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കരുതു; ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

28. Whether cow or ewe it and its young, shall ye not slaughter on one day.

29. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ കല്പനകള് പ്രമാണിച്ചു ആചരിക്കേണം; ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

29. And when ye would offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto Yahweh, for your acceptance, shall ye offer it.

30. എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ നിങ്ങള് അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് ഞാന് ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടേണം; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

30. On the same day, shall it be eaten, ye shall not leave thereof until morning, I, am Yahweh.

31. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

31. So then ye shall observe my commandments, and do them, I, am Yahweh.
