1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying,

2. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു സംസാരിച്ചു അവരുടെ പക്കല്നിന്നു ഗോത്രം ഗോത്രമായി സകലഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും ഔരോ വടിവീതം പന്ത്രണ്ടു വടി വാങ്ങി ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ വടിമേല് അവന്റെ പേര് എഴുതുക.

2. Speak to the sons of Israel, and take a rod from each of them for a father's house, of all their rulers, for their fathers' house, twelve rods. Write every man's name upon his rod.

3. ലേവിയുടെ വടിമേലോ അഹരോന്റെ പേര് എഴുതേണം; ഔരോ ഗോത്രത്തലവന്നു ഔരോ വടി ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

3. And you shall write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi. For one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

4. സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തില് ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുന്ന ഇടമായ സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അവയെ വെക്കേണം.

4. And you shall lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

5. ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നവന്റെ വടി തളിര്ക്കും; ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് നിര്ത്തലാക്കും.

5. And it shall be, the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall blossom. And I will make to cease from Me the murmurings of the sons of Israel by which they murmur against you.

6. മോശെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു സംസാരിക്കയും അവരുടെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഗോത്രം ഗോത്രമായി ഔരോ പ്രഭു ഔരോ വടിവീതം പന്ത്രണ്ടു വടി അവന്റെ പക്കല് കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തുവടികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് അഹരോന്റെ വടിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

6. And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, and all their rulers gave to him a rod, for each ruler, one rod for each ruler, for their father's house, twelve rods. And the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

7. മോശെ വടികളെ സാക്ഷ്യകൂടാരത്തില് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് വെച്ചു.

7. And Moses laid up the rods before Jehovah in the tabernacle of witness.

8. പിറ്റെന്നാള് മോശെ സാക്ഷ്യകൂടാരത്തില് കടന്നപ്പോള് ലേവിഗൃഹത്തിന്നുള്ള അഹരോന്റെ വടി തളിര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അതു തളിര്ത്തു പൂത്തു ബദാം ഫലം കായിച്ചിരുന്നു.

8. And it happened on the next day Moses went into the tabernacle of witness. And behold! The rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded and had brought forth buds, and had bloomed blossoms, and had yielded almonds.

9. മോശെ വടികളെല്ലാം യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്നിന്നു എടുത്തു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ അടുക്കല് പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവര് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ വടി നോക്കിയെടുത്തു.

9. And Moses brought out all the rods from before Jehovah to all the sons of Israel. And they looked, and each one took his rod.

10. യഹോവ മോശെയോടുഅഹരോന്റെ വടി മത്സരികള്ക്കു ഒരു അടയാളമായി സൂക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുവരിക; അവര് മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ പിറുപിറുപ്പു നീ ഇങ്ങനെ നിര്ത്തലാക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

10. And Jehovah said to Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept as a token against the rebels. And you shall completely take away their murmurings from Me so that they do not die.

11. മോശെ അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തുയഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവന് ചെയ്തു.

11. And Moses did as Jehovah commanded him, so he did.

12. അപ്പോള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് മോശെയോടുഇതാ, ഞങ്ങള് ചത്തൊടുങ്ങുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് നശിയക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും നശിക്കുന്നു.

12. And the sons of Israel spoke to Moses saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.

13. യഹോവയുടെ തിരുനിവാസത്തോടു അടുക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം ചാകുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും ചത്തൊടുങ്ങേണമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. Whoever comes near the tabernacle of Jehovah shall die. Shall we be consumed to die?
