1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

2. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു സംസാരിച്ചു അവരുടെ പക്കല്നിന്നു ഗോത്രം ഗോത്രമായി സകലഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും ഔരോ വടിവീതം പന്ത്രണ്ടു വടി വാങ്ങി ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ വടിമേല് അവന്റെ പേര് എഴുതുക.

2. Speak unto he sans of Israel and take of them one staff each for an ancestral house of all their princes, by their ancestral houses, twelve staves, each man's name, shalt thou write upon his staff;

3. ലേവിയുടെ വടിമേലോ അഹരോന്റെ പേര് എഴുതേണം; ഔരോ ഗോത്രത്തലവന്നു ഔരോ വടി ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

3. and, Aaron's name, shalt thou write upon the staff of Levi, for, one staff, shall there be for the head of their ancestral house.

4. സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തില് ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുന്ന ഇടമായ സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അവയെ വെക്കേണം.

4. Then shalt thou lay them up in the tent of meeting, before the testimony, where I meet with you.

5. ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നവന്റെ വടി തളിര്ക്കും; ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് നിര്ത്തലാക്കും.

5. So shall it come to pass, that, the man whom I shall choose, his staff, shall bud, so will I cause to cease from against me the murmurings of the sons of Israel, wherewith they, are murmuring against you.

6. മോശെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു സംസാരിക്കയും അവരുടെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഗോത്രം ഗോത്രമായി ഔരോ പ്രഭു ഔരോ വടിവീതം പന്ത്രണ്ടു വടി അവന്റെ പക്കല് കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തുവടികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് അഹരോന്റെ വടിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

6. And Moses spake unto the sons of Israel and every one of their princes gave unto him, a staff apiece, for each prince, by their ancestral houses, twelve staves, and the staff of Aaron, was in the midst of their staves.

7. മോശെ വടികളെ സാക്ഷ്യകൂടാരത്തില് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് വെച്ചു.

7. So Moses laid up the staves before Yahweh, in the tent of the testimony.

8. പിറ്റെന്നാള് മോശെ സാക്ഷ്യകൂടാരത്തില് കടന്നപ്പോള് ലേവിഗൃഹത്തിന്നുള്ള അഹരോന്റെ വടി തളിര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അതു തളിര്ത്തു പൂത്തു ബദാം ഫലം കായിച്ചിരുന്നു.

8. And it came to pass, on the morrow, that Moses entered into the tent of the testimony; and lo! the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi, had budded, yea it had brought forth buds and bloomed blossoms, and borne ripe almonds.

9. മോശെ വടികളെല്ലാം യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്നിന്നു എടുത്തു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ അടുക്കല് പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവര് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ വടി നോക്കിയെടുത്തു.

9. So then Moses brought forth all the staves, from before Yahweh, unto all the sons of Israel, and they saw and took, each man his own staff.

10. യഹോവ മോശെയോടുഅഹരോന്റെ വടി മത്സരികള്ക്കു ഒരു അടയാളമായി സൂക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുവരിക; അവര് മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ പിറുപിറുപ്പു നീ ഇങ്ങനെ നിര്ത്തലാക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

10. And Yahweh said unto Moses Put back the rod of Aaron, before the testimony, to be kept as a sign unto such as are perverse, that thou mayest bring to an end their murmurings against me that they die not.

11. മോശെ അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തുയഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവന് ചെയ്തു.

11. Thus did Moses, as Yahweh commanded him, so, did he.

12. അപ്പോള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് മോശെയോടുഇതാ, ഞങ്ങള് ചത്തൊടുങ്ങുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് നശിയക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും നശിക്കുന്നു.

12. Then spake the sons of Israel unto Moses saying: Lo! we have breathed our last we are lost, we are, all, lost:

13. യഹോവയുടെ തിരുനിവാസത്തോടു അടുക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം ചാകുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും ചത്തൊടുങ്ങേണമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. whosoever draweth near draweth near unto the habitation of Yahweh, dieth, are we ever to have made an end of breathing our last?
