1. ആ കാലത്തു യേശു ശബ്ബത്തില് വിളഭൂമിയില്കൂടി കടന്നുപോയി; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് വിശന്നിട്ടു കതിര് പറിച്ചു തിന്നുതുടങ്ങി
ആവർത്തനം 23:24-25

1. At the same tyme wete Iesus thorow the corne vpon the Sabbath, and his disciples were hongrie, and beganne to plucke of the eares of the corne, and to eate.

2. പരീശര് അതു കണ്ടിട്ടുഇതാ, ശബ്ബത്തില് വിഹിതമല്ലാത്തതു നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. When ye Pharises sawe that, they sayde vnto him: Beholde, thy disciples do that, which is not laufull to do vpon the Sabbath.

3. അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“ദാവീദ് തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും

3. He sayde vnto them: haue ye not red what Dauid did, whan he was hongrie, & they also yt were with him?

4. വിശന്നപ്പോള് ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? അവന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് ചെന്നു. പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും മാത്രമല്ലാതെ തനിക്കും കൂടെയുള്ളവര്ക്കും തിന്മാന് വിഹിതമല്ലാത്ത കാഴ്ചയപ്പം തിന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

4. How he entred in to the house of God, & ate the shew breds which were not laufull for him to eate, nether for the yt were with him, but onely for the prestes?

5. അല്ല, ശബ്ബത്തില് പുരോഹിതന്മാര് ദൈവാലയത്തില്വെച്ചു ശബ്ബത്തിനെ ലംഘിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുറ്റമില്ലാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

5. Or haue ye not red in the lawe how that the prestes in the temple breake the Sabbath, and yet are blamelesse?

6. എന്നാല് ദൈവാലയത്തെക്കാള് വലിയവന് ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

6. But I saye vnto you: yt here is one greater then the temple.

7. യാഗത്തിലല്ല, കരുണയില് അത്രേ, ഞാന് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കില് കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു.

7. But yf ye wyst what this were (I haue pleasure in mercy, and not in offeringe) ye wolde not haue condemned innocentes:

8. മനുഷ്യപുത്രനോ ശബ്ബത്തിന്നു കര്ത്താവാകുന്നു.”

8. For the sonne of man is LORDE euen ouer the Sabbath.

9. അവന് അവിടം വിട്ടു അവരുടെ പള്ളിയില് ചെന്നപ്പോള്, കൈ വരണ്ട ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.

9. And he departed thence, and wente in to their synagoge:

10. അവര് അവനില് കുറ്റം ചുമത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു ശബ്ബത്തില് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

10. and beholde, there was a ma which had his hade dryed vp. And they axed him, sayenge: Is it laufull to heale, vpon the Sabbath? because they might accuse him.

11. അവന് അവരോടു“നിങ്ങളില് ഒരുത്തന്നു ഒരു ആടുണ്ടു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ; അതു ശബ്ബത്തില് കുഴിയില് വീണാല് അവന് അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു കയറ്റുകയില്ലയോ?

11. But he sayde vnto the: Which of you is it, yf he had a shepe falle in to a pytte vpon the Sabbath, that wolde not take him, and lift him out?

12. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യന് ആടിനെക്കാള് എത്ര വിശേഷതയുള്ളവന് . ആകയാല് ശബ്ബത്തില് നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതു വിഹിതം തന്നേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

12. And how moch is a man better then a shepe? Therfore it is lefull to do good vpon the Sabbath.

13. പിന്നെ ആ മനുഷ്യനോടു“കൈ നീട്ടുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവന് നീട്ടി, അതു മറ്റേതുപോലെ സൌഖ്യമായി.

13. Then sayde he to the ma: Stretch forth thine hande. And he stretched it forth: and it was whole agayne like vnto the other.

14. പരീശന്മാരോ പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് വേണ്ടി അവന്നു വിരോധമായി തമ്മില് ആലോചിച്ചു.

14. Then wente the Pharises out, and helde a councell agaynst him, how they might destroye him.

15. യേശു അതു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവിടം വിട്ടുപോയി, വളരെ പേര് അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു; അവന് അവരെ ഒക്കെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കി,

15. But wha Iesus knew therof, he departed thence, & moch people folowed him: and he healed them all,

16. തന്നെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കരുതു എന്നു അവരോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു.

16. and charged them, yt they shulde not make him knowne:

17. “ഇതാ, ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത എന്റെ ദാസന് , എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പ്രിയന് ; ഞാന് എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ അവന്റെമേല് വേക്കും; അവന് ജാതികള്ക്കു ന്യായവിധി അറിയിക്കും.”

17. that the thinge might be fulfylled, which was spoken by Esay the prophet, which sayeth:

18. അവന് കലഹിക്കയില്ല, നിലവിളിക്കയില്ല; ആരും തെരുക്കളില് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കയുമില്ല.
യെശയ്യാ 41:9, യെശയ്യാ 42:1-4

18. Beholde, this is my seruaunt, whom I haue chosen: and my beloued, in whom my soule delyteth: I wil put my sprete vpon hi, and he shal shewe iudgment vnto the Heithe.

19. ചതഞ്ഞ ഔട അവന് ഒടിച്ചുകളകയില്ല; പുകയുന്ന തിരി കെടുത്തുകളകയില്ല; അവന് ന്യായവിധി ജയത്തോളം നടത്തും.

19. He shal not stryue, ner crye, nether shal eny man heare his voyce in the stretes.

20. അവന്റെ നാമത്തില് ജാതികള് പ്രത്യാശവേക്കും”

20. A brosed rede shal he not breake, and flax that beginneth to burne shal he not quench, tyll he sende forth iudgment vnto victory.

21. എന്നിങ്ങനെ യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു നിവൃത്തി ആകുവാന് സംഗതിവന്നു.

21. And in his name shal the Heithen trust.

22. അനന്തരം ചിലര് കുരുടനും ഊമനുമായോരു ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ഊമന് സംസാരിക്കയും കാണ്കയും ചെയ്വാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് അവനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.

22. Then was there brought vnto him one possessed (of a deuell) the which was blynde and domne, and he healed him: in so moch yt ye blynde and domne both spake and sawe.

23. പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും വിസ്മയിച്ചുഇവന് ദാവീദ് പുത്രന് തന്നേയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. And all the people were amased, and sayde: Is not this the sonne of Dauid?

24. അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു പരീശന്മാര്ഇവന് ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ തലവനായ ബെയെത്സെബൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടല്ലാതെ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. But whan the Pharises herde that, they sayde: He dryueth the deuyls out none other wyse, but thorow Beelzebub the chefe of the deuyls.

25. അവന് അവരുടെ നിരൂപണം അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“ഒരു രാജ്യം തന്നില് തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കില് ശൂന്യമാകും;
1 ശമൂവേൽ 16:7

25. Neuertheles Iesus knew their thoughtes, and sayde vnto them: Euery kyngdome deuyded within it self, shalbe desolate: and euery cite or house deuyded in it self, maye not contynue.

26. ഒരു പട്ടണമോ ഗൃഹമോ തന്നില് തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കില് നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല. സാത്താന് സാത്താനെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് അവന് തന്നില് തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു പോയല്ലോ; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ രാജ്യം എങ്ങനെ നിലനിലക്കും?

26. So yf one Sathan cast out another, the is he at variaunce within him self: how maye then his kyngdome endure?

27. ഞാന് ബെയെത്സെബൂലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്, നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കള് ആരെക്കൊണ്ടു പുറത്താക്കുന്നു? അതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ന്യായാധിപന്മാര് ആകും.

27. But yf I cast out deuils thorow Beelzebub, thorow whom do youre childre cast them out? Therfore shal they be youre iudges.

28. ദൈവാത്മാവിനാല് ഞാന് ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു സ്പഷ്ടം.

28. But yf I cast out the deuyls by the sprete of God then is the kyngdome of God come vpon you.

29. ബലവാനെ പിടിച്ചു കെട്ടീട്ടല്ലാതെ ബലവാന്റെ വീട്ടില് കടന്നു അവന്റെ കോപ്പു കവര്ന്നുകളവാന് എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടിയാല് പിന്നെ അവന്റെ വീടു കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്യാം.
യെശയ്യാ 49:24

29. Or how ca a man entre in to a stronge mans house, and violently take awaye his goodes, excepte he first bynde the stronge ma, & the spoyle his house?

30. എനിക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലാത്തവന് എനിക്കു പ്രതിക്കുലം ആകുന്നു; എന്നോടുകൂടെ ചേര്ക്കാത്തവന് ചിതറിക്കുന്നു.

30. He that is not wt me, is agaynst me: & he yt gathereth not wt me, scatereth abrode.

31. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതുസകലപാപവും ദൂഷണവും മനുഷ്യരോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; ആത്മാവിന്നു നേരെയുള്ള ദൂഷണമോ ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.

31. Therfore I saye vnto you: All synne and blasphemy shalbe forgeuen vnto men, but the blasphemy agaynst the sprete shal not be forgeuen vnto men:

32. ആരെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന്നു നേരെ ഒരു വാക്കു പറഞ്ഞാല് അതു അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്നു നേരെ പറഞ്ഞാലോ ഈ ലോകത്തിലും വരുവാനുള്ളതിലും അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.

32. And whosoeuer speaketh a worde agaynst the sonne of man, it shalbe forgeue him. But whosoeuer speaketh agaynst the holy goost it shal not be forgeuen him, nether in this worlde, ner in the worlde to come.

33. ഒന്നുകില് വൃക്ഷം നല്ലതു, ഫലവും നല്ലതു എന്നു വെപ്പിന് ; അല്ലായ്കില് വൃക്ഷം ചീത്ത, ഫലവും ചീത്ത എന്നു വെപ്പിന് ; ഫലം കൊണ്ടല്ലോ വൃക്ഷം അറിയുന്നതു.

33. Either make the tre good and his frute good also, or els make the tre euel & his frute euel also. For the tre is knowne by the frute.

34. സര്പ്പസന്തതികളെ, നിങ്ങള് ദുഷ്ടരായിരിക്കെ നല്ലതു സംസാരിപ്പാന് എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നതില് നിന്നല്ലോ വായ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു.

34. O ye generacio of vypers, how can ye speake good, whan ye youre selues are euell? For of ye abundace of ye hert ye mouth speaketh.

35. നല്ല മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ നല്ല നിക്ഷേപത്തില്നിന്നു നല്ലതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യന് ദുര്ന്നിക്ഷേപത്തില്നിന്നു തീയതു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു.

35. A good man out of the good treasure of his hert, bringeth forth good thinges: & an euel man out of his euell treasure, bringeth forth euell thinges.

36. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യര് പറയുന്ന ഏതു നിസ്സാരവാക്കിന്നും ന്യായവിധിദിവസത്തില് കണകൂ ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

36. But I saye vnto you, that of euery ydell worde that me haue spoken, they shal geue accomptes at ye daye of iudgmet.

37. നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാല് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും നിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാല് കുറ്റം വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.”

37. Out of thy wordes thou shalt be iustified, & out of thy wordes thou shalt be codemned.

38. അപ്പോള് ശാസ്ത്രിമാരിലും പരീശന്മാരിലും ചിലര് അവനോടുഗുരോ, നീ ഒരു അടയാളം ചെയ്തുകാണ്മാന് ഞങ്ങള് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന് അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു

38. Then answered certayne of the scrybes and Pharises, and sayde: Master, we wolde fayne se a toke of the.

39. “ദോഷവും വ്യഭിചാരവുമുള്ള തലമുറ അടയാളം തിരയുന്നു; യോനാപ്രവാചകന്റെ അടയാളമല്ലാതെ അതിന്നു അടയാളം ലഭിക്കയില്ല.

39. And he answered and saide vnto the: This euell and aduouterous generacion seketh a token: and there shal no token be geuen the, but the token of the prophete Ionas.

40. യോനാ കടലാനയുടെ വയറ്റില് മൂന്നു രാവും മൂന്നു പകലും ഇരുന്നതു പോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മൂന്നു രാവും മൂന്നു പകലും ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉള്ളില് ഇരിക്കും.
യോനാ 1:17

40. For as Ionas was thre dayes and thre nightes in the Whalles bely, so shal the sonne of ma be thre dayes and thre nightes in the hert of the earth.

41. നീനെവേക്കാര് ന്യായവിധിയില് ഈ തലമുറയോടു ഒന്നിച്ചു എഴുന്നേറ്റു അതിനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും; അവര് യോനയുടെ പ്രസംഗം കേട്ടു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടുവല്ലോ; ഇതാ, ഇവിടെ യോനയിലും വലിയവന് .

41. The men of Ninyue shal ryse in the last iudgment with this generacion, and shal condemne it: for they dyd penaunce acordinge to ye preachinge of Ionas. And beholde, here is one greater the Ionas.

42. തെക്കെ രാജ്ഞി ന്യായവിധിയില് ഈ തലമുറയോടു ഒന്നിച്ചു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു അതിനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും; അവള് ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം കേള്പ്പാന് ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതികളില് നിന്നു വന്നുവല്ലോ; ഇവിടെ ഇതാ, ശലോമോനിലും വലിയവന് .

42. The quene of the south shal aryse in the last iudgmet with this generacion, and shal condene it: for she came from the vttemost partes of the earth, to heare ye wyssdome of Salomon: And lo, here is one greater then Salomon.

43. അശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം നീരില്ലാത്ത സ്ഥലങ്ങളില് കൂടി തണുപ്പു അന്വേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ലതാനും.

43. Whan the vncleane sprete is gone out of man, he walketh thorow dry places, sekinge rest, & fyndeth none.

44. ഞാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോന്ന എന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലും എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നു; ഉടനെ വന്നു, അതു ഒഴിഞ്ഞതും അടിച്ചുവാരി അലങ്കരിച്ചതുമായി കാണുന്നു.

44. The saieth he: I wil turne agayne in to my house, fro whence I wete out. And whan he cometh, he fyndeth it emptye, swepte and garnyshed.

45. പിന്നെ അവന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു, തന്നിലും ദുഷ്ടതയേറിയ വേറെ ഏഴു ആത്മാക്കളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; അവരും അവിടെ കയറി പാര്ക്കുംന്നു; ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ പിന്നത്തെ സ്ഥിതി മുമ്പിലത്തേതിലും വല്ലാതെ ആകും; ഈ ദുഷ്ടതലമുറെക്കും അങ്ങനെ ഭവിക്കും.”

45. Then goeth he his waye, & taketh vnto him seuen other spretes worse then him self: and whan they are entred in, they dwell there: And the ende of that man is worse then the begynnynge. Euen so shal it go wt this euell generacion.

46. അവന് പുരുഷാരത്തോടു സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയില് അവന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും അവനോടു സംസാരിപ്പാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തു നിന്നു.

46. Whyle he yet talked vnto the people, beholde, his mother & his brethre stode without desyringe to speake wt him.

47. ഒരുത്തന് അവനോടുനിന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും നിന്നോടു സംസാരിപ്പാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുറത്തുനിലക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

47. Then sayde one vnto him: Beholde, thy mother and thy brethren stonde without, & wolde speake wt the.

48. അതു പറഞ്ഞവനോടു അവന് “എന്റെ അമ്മ ആര് എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര് ആര്” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

48. Neuertheles he answered & sayde vnto him that tolde him: Who is my mother? & who are my brethren?

49. ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി“ഇതാ, എന്റെ അമ്മയും എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും.

49. And he stretched forth his hande ouer his disciples, & sayde: Beholde my mother and my brethre.

50. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്റെ സഹോദരനും സഹോദരിയും അമ്മയും ആകുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

50. For who soeuer doth ye wyll of my father which is in heaue, the same is my brother, sister and mother.
