1. ജാതികളും ദൈവവചനം കൈകൊണ്ടു എന്നു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും യെഹൂദ്യയിലുള്ള സഹോദരന്മാരും കേട്ടു.

1. The missionaries and followers who were in the country of Judea heard that the people who were not Jews also had received the Word of God.

2. പത്രൊസ് യെരൂശലേമില് എത്തിയപ്പോള് പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാര് അവനോടു വാദിച്ചു

2. When Peter went up to Jerusalem, the Jewish followers argued with him.

3. നീ അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവരോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. They said, 'Why did you visit those people who are not Jews and eat with them?'

4. പത്രൊസ് കാര്യം ആദിമുതല് ക്രമമായി അവരോടു വിവരിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞതു

4. Then Peter began to tell all that had happened from the beginning to the end. He said,

5. ഞാന് യോപ്പാപട്ടണത്തില് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് വിവശതയില് ഒരുദര്ശനം കണ്ടുആകാശത്തില്നിന്നു നാലു കോണും കെട്ടി ഇറക്കിയ വലിയ തുപ്പട്ടിപോലെ ഒരു പാത്രം എന്റെ അടുക്കലോളം വന്നു.

5. While I was praying in the city of Joppa, I saw in a dream something coming down from heaven. It was like a large linen cloth let down by the four corners until it came to me.

6. അതില് ഞാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കിയപ്പോള് ഭൂമിയിലെ നാല്ക്കാലികളെയും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെയും ഇഴജാതികളെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളെയും കണ്ടു

6. As I looked at it, I saw four-footed animals and snakes of the earth and birds of the sky.

7. പത്രൊസേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു അറുത്തു തിന്നുക എന്നു എന്നോടു പറയുന്നോരു ശബ്ദവും കേട്ടു.

7. I heard a voice saying to me, 'Get up, Peter, kill something and eat it.'

8. അതിന്നു ഞാന് ഒരിക്കലും പാടില്ല, കര്ത്താവേ; മലിനമോ അശുദ്ധമോ ആയതൊന്നും ഒരിക്കലും എന്റെ വായില് ചെന്നിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. But I said, 'No, Lord! Nothing that is unclean has ever gone into my mouth.'

9. ആ ശബ്ദം പിന്നെയും ആകാശത്തില് നിന്നുദൈവം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതു നീ മലിനം എന്നു വിചാരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

9. The voice from heaven said the second time, 'What God has made clean you must not say is unclean.'

10. ഇതു മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം ഉണ്ടായി; പിന്നെ എല്ലാം തിരികെ ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു വലിച്ചെടുത്തു.

10. This happened three times and then it was taken up again to heaven.

11. അപ്പോള് തന്നേ കൈസര്യയില് നിന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരുന്ന മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാര് ഞങ്ങള് പാര്ത്ത വീട്ടിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നിരുന്നു;

11. Three men had already come to the house where I was staying. They had been sent to me from the city of Caesarea.

12. ഒന്നും സംശയിക്കാതെ അവരോടുകൂടെ പോകുവാന് ആത്മാവു എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചു. ഈ ആറു സഹോദരന്മാരും എന്നോടുകൂടെ പോന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് ആ പുരുഷന്റെ വീട്ടില് ചെന്നു.

12. The Holy Spirit told me to go with them and not doubt about going. These six men also went with me to this man's house.

13. അവന് തന്റെ വീട്ടില് ഒരു ദൂതന് നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു എന്നും നീ യോപ്പയിലേക്കു ആളയച്ചു പത്രൊസ് എന്നു മറുപേരുള്ള ശിമോനെ വരുത്തുക;

13. He told us how he had seen an angel in his own home. The angel had stood in front of him and said, 'Send men to Joppa to ask for Simon Peter.

14. നീയും നിന്റെ ഗൃഹം മുഴുവനും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുള്ള വാക്കുകളെ അവന് നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കും എന്നു ദൂതന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നും ഞങ്ങളോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

14. He will tell you and all your family how you can be saved from the punishment of sin.'

15. ഞാന് സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോഴേക്കു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ആദിയില് നമ്മുടെമേല് എന്നപോലെ അവരുടെ മേലും വന്നു.

15. 'As I began to talk to them, the Holy Spirit came down on them just as He did on us at the beginning.

16. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് യോഹന്നാന് വെള്ളംകൊണ്ടു സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു; നിങ്ങള്ക്കോ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു സ്നാനം ലഭിക്കും എന്നു കര്ത്താവു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു ഔര്ത്തു.

16. Then I remembered the Lord had said, 'John baptized with water but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'

17. ആകയാല് കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസിച്ചവരായ നമുക്കു തന്നതുപോലെ അതേ ദാനത്തെ അവര്ക്കും ദൈവം കൊടുത്തു എങ്കില് ദൈവത്തെ തടുപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് ആര്?

17. If God gave to them the same gift He gave to us after we put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, how could I stand against God?'

18. അവര് ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോള് മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നുഅങ്ങനെ ആയാല് ദൈവം ജാതികള്ക്കും ജീവപ്രാപ്തിക്കായി മാനസാന്തരം നല്കിയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

18. When they heard these words, they said nothing more. They thanked God, saying, 'Then God has given life also to the people who are not Jews. They have this new life by being sorry for their sins and turning from them.'

19. സ്തെഫാനൊസ് നിമിത്തം ഉണ്ടായ ഉപദ്രവം ഹേതുവാല് ചിതറിപ്പോയവര് യെഹൂദന്മാരോടല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരോടും വചനം സംസാരിക്കാതെ ഫൊയ്നിക്യാ, കുപ്രൊസ്, അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യ എന്നീ പ്രദേശങ്ങളോളം സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

19. Those who went different places because of the trouble that started over Stephen had gone as far as the cities of Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch. They had preached the Word, but only to the Jews.

20. അവരില് ചിലര് കുപ്രൊസ്കാരും കുറേനക്കാരും ആയിരുന്നു; അവര് അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയില്എത്തിയശേഷം യവനന്മാരോടും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷം അറിയിച്ചു.

20. Some of the men from Cyprus and Cyrene returned to Antioch. They preached the Good News of Jesus Christ to the Greek people there.

21. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ കൈ അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; വലിയൊരു കൂട്ടം വിശ്വസിച്ചു കര്ത്താവിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു.

21. The Lord gave them power. Many people put their trust in the Lord and turned to Him.

22. അവരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഈ വര്ത്തമാനം യെരൂശലേമിലെ സഭയുടെ ചെവിയില് എത്തിയപ്പോള് അവര് ബര്ന്നബാസിനെ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയോളം പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

22. The news of this came to the church in Jerusalem. They sent Barnabas to Antioch.

23. അവന് ചെന്നു ദൈവകൃപ കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ചു. എല്ലാവരും ഹൃദയനിര്ണ്ണയത്തോടെ കര്ത്താവിനോടു ചേര്ന്നുനില്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

23. When he got there and saw how good God had been to them, he was full of joy. He told them to be true and faithful to the Lord.

24. അവന് നല്ല മനുഷ്യനും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാലും വിശ്വാസത്താലും നിറഞ്ഞവനും ആയിരുന്നു; വളരെ പുരുഷന്മാരും കര്ത്താവിനോടു ചേര്ന്നു.

24. Barnabas was a good man and full of the Holy Spirit and faith. And many people became followers of the Lord.

25. അവന് ശൌലിനെ തിരവാന് തര്സൊസിലേക്കു പോയി, അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയാറെ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

25. From there Barnabas went on to the city of Tarsus to look for Saul.

26. അവര് ഒരു സംവത്സരം മുഴുവനും സഭായോഗങ്ങളില് കൂടുകയും ബഹുജനത്തെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്തു; ആദ്യം അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയില്വെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികള് എന്നു പേര് ഉണ്ടായി.

26. When he found Saul, he brought him back with him to Antioch. For a year they taught many people in the church. The followers were first called Christians in Antioch.

27. ആ കാലത്തു യെരൂശലേമില് നിന്നു പ്രവാചകന്മാര് അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു വന്നു.

27. At that time some men who preached God's Word came to Antioch and told what was going to happen. They were from Jerusalem.

28. അവരില് അഗബൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളൊരുവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ലോകത്തില് ഒക്കെയും മഹാക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു ആത്മാവിനാല് പ്രവചിച്ചു; അതു ക്ളൌദ്യൊസിന്റെ കാലത്തു സംഭവിച്ചു.

28. One of them was Agabus. The Holy Spirit told him to stand up and speak. He told them there would be very little food to eat over all the world. This happened when Claudius was leader of the country.

29. അപ്പോള് യെഹൂദ്യയില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഉതവിക്കായി ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് ഔരോരുത്തന് പ്രാപ്തിപോലെ കൊടുത്തയപ്പാന് നിശ്ചയിച്ചു.

29. The Christians agreed that each one should give what money he could to help the Christians living in Judea.

30. അവര് അതു നടത്തി, ബര്ന്നബാസിന്റെയും ശൌലിന്റെയും കയ്യില് മൂപ്പന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തയച്ചു.

30. They did this and sent it to the church leaders with Barnabas and Saul.
