1. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പൌലോസും തിമൊഥെയോസും ഫിലിപ്പിയില് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള സകല വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും അദ്ധ്യക്ഷന്മാര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷന്മാര്ക്കും കൂടെ എഴുതുന്നതു

1. From Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus. To all of God's people who belong to Christ Jesus at Philippi and to all of your church officials and officers.

2. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കല് നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

2. I pray that God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will bless you with peace!

3. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി കഴിക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രാര്ത്ഥനയിലും എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചും

3. Every time I think of you, I thank my God.

4. നിങ്ങളില് നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയെ ആരംഭിച്ചവന് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളോളം അതിനെ തികെക്കും എന്നു ഉറപ്പായി വിശ്വസിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. And whenever I mention you in my prayers, it makes me happy.

5. ഒന്നാംനാള് മുതല് ഇതുവരെയും സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള കൂട്ടായ്മ നിമിത്തം

5. This is because you have taken part with me in spreading the good news from the first day you heard about it.

6. God is the one who began this good work in you, and I am certain that he won't stop before it is complete on the day that Christ Jesus returns.

7. കൃപയില് എനിക്കു കൂട്ടാളികളായ നിങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളിലും സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിലും സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിലും ഞാന് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് വഹിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കുറിച്ചു വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു ന്യായമല്ലോ.

7. You have a special place in my heart. So it is only natural for me to feel the way I do. All of you have helped in the work that God has given me, as I defend the good news and tell about it here in jail.

8. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ആര്ദ്രതയോടെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണ്മാന് എത്ര വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ദൈവം സാക്ഷി.

8. God himself knows how much I want to see you. He knows that I care for you in the same way that Christ Jesus does.

9. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹം മേലക്കുമേല് പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലും സകല വിവേകത്തിലും വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു വന്നിട്ടു

9. I pray that your love will keep on growing and that you will fully know and understand

10. നിങ്ങള് ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങളെ വിവേചിപ്പാറാകേണം എന്നും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളിലേക്കു നിര്മ്മലന്മാരും ഇടര്ച്ചയില്ലാത്തവരും

10. how to make the right choices. Then you will still be pure and innocent when Christ returns. And until that day,

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നും പുകഴ്ചെക്കുമായിട്ടു യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനാല് നീതി ഫലം നിറഞ്ഞവരുമായി തീരേണം എന്നും ഞാന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

11. Jesus Christ will keep you busy doing good deeds that bring glory and praise to God.

12. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ഭവിച്ചതു സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കു കാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിവാന് ഞാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

12. My dear friends, I want you to know that what has happened to me has helped to spread the good news.

13. എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുനിമിത്തമാകുന്നു എന്നു അകമ്പടിപട്ടാളത്തില് ഒക്കെയും ശേഷം എല്ലാവര്ക്കും തെളിവായിവരികയും

13. The Roman guards and all the others know that I am here in jail because I serve Christ.

14. സഹോദരന്മാര് മിക്കപേരും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളാല് കര്ത്താവില് ധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനം ഭയംകൂടാതെ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് അധികം തുനിയുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. Now most of the Lord's followers have become brave and are fearlessly telling the message.

15. ചിലര് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അസൂയയും പിണക്കവും നിമിത്തം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു;

15. Some are preaching about Christ because they are jealous and envious of us. Others are preaching because they want to help.

16. ചിലരോ നല്ല മനസ്സോടെ തന്നേ. അവര് സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ഞാന് ഇവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അതു സ്നേഹത്താല് ചെയ്യുന്നു.

16. They love Christ and know that I am here to defend the good news about him.

17. മറ്റവരോ എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളില് എനിക്കു ക്ളേശം വരുത്തുവാന് ഭാവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിര്മ്മലതയോടെയല്ല ശാഠ്യത്താല് അത്രേ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു.

17. But the ones who are jealous of us are not sincere. They just want to cause trouble for me while I am in jail.

18. പിന്നെ എന്തു? നാട്യമായിട്ടോ പരമാര്ത്ഥമായിട്ടോ ഏതുവിധമായാലും ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അല്ലോ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു. ഇതില് ഞാന് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും സന്തോഷിക്കും.

18. But that doesn't matter. All that matters is that people are telling about Christ, whether they are sincere or not. That is what makes me glad. I will keep on being glad,

19. നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാലും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആത്മാവിന്റെ സഹായത്താലും അതു എനിക്കു രക്ഷാകാരണമായിത്തീരും എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

19. because I know that your prayers and the help that comes from the Spirit of Christ Jesus will keep me safe.

20. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഒന്നിലും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകാതെ പൂര്ണ്ണധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്റെ ശരീരത്തിങ്കല് ജീവനാല് ആകട്ടെ മരണത്താല് ആകട്ടെ എപ്പോഴും എന്നപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും മഹിമപ്പെടുകേയുള്ളു എന്നു പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കയും പ്രത്യശിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

20. I honestly expect and hope that I will never do anything to be ashamed of. Whether I live or die, I always want to be as brave as I am now and bring honor to Christ.

21. If I live, it will be for Christ, and if I die, I will gain even more.

22. I don't know what to choose. I could keep on living and doing something useful.

23. ഇവ രണ്ടിനാലും ഞാന് ഞെരുങ്ങുന്നു; വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു കാംക്ഷയുണ്ടു; അതു അത്യുത്തമമല്ലോ.

23. It is a hard choice to make. I want to die and be with Christ, because that would be much better.

24. But I know that all of you still need me. That's why I am sure I will stay on to help you grow and be happy in your faith.

26. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങി വരുന്നതിനാല് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള പ്രശംസ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് വര്ദ്ധിപ്പാന് ഇടയാകും.

26. Then, when I visit you again, you will have good reason to take great pride in Christ Jesus because of me.

27. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ വന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടോ ദൂരത്തിരുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ കേട്ടിട്ടോ നിങ്ങള് ഏകാത്മാവില് നിലനിന്നു എതിരാളികളാല് ഒന്നിലും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകാതെ ഏകമനസ്സോടെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായി പോരാട്ടം കഴിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം മാത്രം നടപ്പിന് .

27. Above all else, you must live in a way that brings honor to the good news about Christ. Then, whether I visit you or not, I will hear that all of you think alike. I will know that you are working together and that you are struggling side by side to get others to believe the good news.

28. ഇതു അവരുടെ നാശത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷെക്കും ഒരു അടയാളമാകുന്നു;

28. Be brave when you face your enemies. Your courage will show them that they are going to be destroyed, and it will show you that you will be saved. God will make all of this happen,

29. അതു ദൈവം തന്നേ വെച്ചതാകുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് മാത്രമല്ല അവന്നു വേണ്ടി കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിപ്പാനും കൂടെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

29. and he has blessed you. Not only do you have faith in Christ, but you suffer for him.

30. നിങ്ങള് എങ്കല് കണ്ടതും ഇപ്പോള് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുന്നതുമായ അതേ പോരാട്ടം നിങ്ങള്ക്കും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

30. You saw me suffer, and you still hear about my troubles. Now you must suffer in the same way.
