1. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പൌലോസും തിമൊഥെയോസും ഫിലിപ്പിയില് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള സകല വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും അദ്ധ്യക്ഷന്മാര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷന്മാര്ക്കും കൂടെ എഴുതുന്നതു

1. Paul & Timotheus the seruauntes of Iesus Christ: To all the saintes in Christ Iesus, whiche are at Philippos, with the bisshops & deacons:

2. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കല് നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

2. Grace [be] vnto you, and peace fro God our father, and [from] the Lorde Iesus Christ.

3. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി കഴിക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രാര്ത്ഥനയിലും എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചും

3. I thanke my God, with all remembraunce of you,

4. നിങ്ങളില് നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയെ ആരംഭിച്ചവന് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളോളം അതിനെ തികെക്കും എന്നു ഉറപ്പായി വിശ്വസിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. ( Alwayes in all my prayer for all you, makyng prayer with gladnesse,)

5. ഒന്നാംനാള് മുതല് ഇതുവരെയും സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള കൂട്ടായ്മ നിമിത്തം

5. For your felowship in the Gospell, fro the first day vntyll nowe.

6. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഔര്ക്കുംമ്പോള് ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

6. And beyng perswaded of this same thyng, that he which hath begun good worke in you, wyll perfourme it vntyll the day of Iesus Christe,

7. കൃപയില് എനിക്കു കൂട്ടാളികളായ നിങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളിലും സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിലും സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിലും ഞാന് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് വഹിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കുറിച്ചു വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു ന്യായമല്ലോ.

7. As it becommeth me to iudge this of you al, because I haue you in my heart, and in my bondes, in the defence and confirmation of the Gospell, you all beyng partakers of my grace.

8. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ആര്ദ്രതയോടെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണ്മാന് എത്ര വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ദൈവം സാക്ഷി.

8. For God is my recorde howe greatly I long after you all, in the bowels of Iesus Christe.

9. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹം മേലക്കുമേല് പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലും സകല വിവേകത്തിലും വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു വന്നിട്ടു

9. And this I pray, that your loue may abounde yet more and more in knowledge, and in all vnderstandyng:

10. നിങ്ങള് ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങളെ വിവേചിപ്പാറാകേണം എന്നും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളിലേക്കു നിര്മ്മലന്മാരും ഇടര്ച്ചയില്ലാത്തവരും

10. That ye maye discerne thynges that differ, that ye maye be pure, and without offence, tyll the day of Christe.

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നും പുകഴ്ചെക്കുമായിട്ടു യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനാല് നീതി ഫലം നിറഞ്ഞവരുമായി തീരേണം എന്നും ഞാന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

11. Beyng fylled with the fruites of righteousnesse, which [are] by Iesus Christ, vnto the glorie and prayse of God.

12. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ഭവിച്ചതു സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കു കാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിവാന് ഞാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

12. But I woulde ye should vnderstande brethren, that the thinges which [came] vnto me, hath come rather vnto the furtheraunce of the Gospell:

13. എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുനിമിത്തമാകുന്നു എന്നു അകമ്പടിപട്ടാളത്തില് ഒക്കെയും ശേഷം എല്ലാവര്ക്കും തെളിവായിവരികയും

13. So that my bondes in Christe, are manifest, throughout all the iudgement hall, and in all other [places.]

14. സഹോദരന്മാര് മിക്കപേരും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളാല് കര്ത്താവില് ധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനം ഭയംകൂടാതെ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് അധികം തുനിയുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. And many of the brethren of the Lord, beyng incouraged through my bondes, dare more plentifully speake the word, without feare.

15. ചിലര് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അസൂയയും പിണക്കവും നിമിത്തം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു;

15. Some preache Christe of enuie & strife, and some of good wyll.

16. ചിലരോ നല്ല മനസ്സോടെ തന്നേ. അവര് സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ഞാന് ഇവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അതു സ്നേഹത്താല് ചെയ്യുന്നു.

16. The one preache Christe of strife, not sincerely, supposyng to adde more affliction to my bondes:

17. മറ്റവരോ എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളില് എനിക്കു ക്ളേശം വരുത്തുവാന് ഭാവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിര്മ്മലതയോടെയല്ല ശാഠ്യത്താല് അത്രേ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു.

17. But the others of loue, knowing that I am set to the defence of the Gospell.

18. പിന്നെ എന്തു? നാട്യമായിട്ടോ പരമാര്ത്ഥമായിട്ടോ ഏതുവിധമായാലും ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അല്ലോ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു. ഇതില് ഞാന് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും സന്തോഷിക്കും.

18. What then? So that Christe be preached any maner of way, whether it be by pretence, or by trueth, I ioy therein, and wyll ioy.

19. നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാലും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആത്മാവിന്റെ സഹായത്താലും അതു എനിക്കു രക്ഷാകാരണമായിത്തീരും എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

19. For I knowe that this shall turne to my saluation, through your prayer, and ministryng of the spirite of Iesus Christe,

20. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഒന്നിലും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകാതെ പൂര്ണ്ണധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്റെ ശരീരത്തിങ്കല് ജീവനാല് ആകട്ടെ മരണത്താല് ആകട്ടെ എപ്പോഴും എന്നപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും മഹിമപ്പെടുകേയുള്ളു എന്നു പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കയും പ്രത്യശിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

20. Accordyng to my expectation, and my hope, yt in nothyng I shalbe ashamed: but yt with all boldnesse, as alwayes, so now also, Christ shalbe magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

21. എനിക്കു ജീവിക്കുന്നതു ക്രിസ്തുവും മരിക്കുന്നതു ലാഭവും ആകുന്നു.

21. For Christe [is] to me lyfe, and death [is] to me aduantage.

22. എന്നാല് ജഡത്തില് ജീവിക്കുന്നതിനാല് എന്റെ വേലെക്കു ഫലം വരുമെങ്കില് ഏതുതിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല.

22. But if I lyue in the fleshe, this (is) the fruite of my labour, and what I shall chose, I wote not.

23. ഇവ രണ്ടിനാലും ഞാന് ഞെരുങ്ങുന്നു; വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു കാംക്ഷയുണ്ടു; അതു അത്യുത്തമമല്ലോ.

23. For I am in a strayte betwixt two, hauyng a desire to be loosed, and to be with Christ, which is much farre better.

24. എന്നാല് ഞാന് ജഡത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ഏറെ ആവശ്യം.

24. Neuerthelesse, to abyde in ye fleshe, [is] more needefull for you.

25. ഇങ്ങനെ ഉറെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കും സന്തോഷത്തിന്നുമായി തന്നേ ഞാന് ജീവനോടിരിക്കും എന്നും നിങ്ങളോടു എല്ലാവരോടും കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നും അറിയുന്നു.

25. And this am I sure of, that I shall abyde & continue with you all, for your furtheraunce and ioy of fayth,

26. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങി വരുന്നതിനാല് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള പ്രശംസ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് വര്ദ്ധിപ്പാന് ഇടയാകും.

26. That your reioysyng may be ye more aboundaunt in Iesus Christe for me, by my commyng to you agayne.

27. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ വന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടോ ദൂരത്തിരുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ കേട്ടിട്ടോ നിങ്ങള് ഏകാത്മാവില് നിലനിന്നു എതിരാളികളാല് ഒന്നിലും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകാതെ ഏകമനസ്സോടെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായി പോരാട്ടം കഴിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം മാത്രം നടപ്പിന് .

27. Only let your conuersation be, as it becommeth the Gospell of Christe: that whether I come and set you, or els be absent, I may yet heare of your matters, that ye continue in one spirite, in one soule, fyghtyng together for ye fayth of the Gospell.

28. ഇതു അവരുടെ നാശത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷെക്കും ഒരു അടയാളമാകുന്നു;

28. And in nothyng fearyng your aduersaries, which is to them a token of perdition: but to you of saluatio, and that of God.

29. അതു ദൈവം തന്നേ വെച്ചതാകുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് മാത്രമല്ല അവന്നു വേണ്ടി കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിപ്പാനും കൂടെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

29. For vnto you it is geuen for Christe, not only this to beleue on hym: but also this, to suffer for his sake,

30. നിങ്ങള് എങ്കല് കണ്ടതും ഇപ്പോള് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുന്നതുമായ അതേ പോരാട്ടം നിങ്ങള്ക്കും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

30. Hauing the same fight, which ye sawe in me, and nowe heare in me.
