1. ഇനി സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കലുള്ള നമ്മുടെ സമാഗമനവും സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു

1. We besech you brethren, by the comming of our Lorde Iesus Christe, and by our assembling vnto hym,

2. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാള് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുവെച്ചു നിങ്ങള് വല്ല ആത്മാവിനോലോ വചനത്താലോ ഞങ്ങള് എഴുതി എന്ന ഭാവത്തിലുള്ള ലേഖനത്താലോ സുബോധംവിട്ടു വേഗത്തില് ഇളകുകയും ഞെട്ടിപ്പോകയുമരുതു.

2. That ye be not sodenlye moued from [your] minde, nor be troubled, neither by spirite, nor by worde, nor yet by letter, as from vs, as though the daye of Christe were at hande.

3. ആരും ഏതുവിധേനയും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; ആദ്യമേ വിശ്വാസത്യാഗം സംഭവിക്കയും നാശയോഗ്യനും അധര്മ്മമൂര്ത്തിയുമായവന് വെളിപ്പെടുകയും വേണം.

3. Let no man deceaue you by any meanes, for [the Lorde shall not come] excepte there come a fallyng away first, & that that man of sinne be reuealed, the sonne of perdition,

4. അവന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് ഇരുന്നുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം എന്നു നടിച്ചു, ദൈവം എന്നോ പൂജാവിഷയം എന്നോ പേരുള്ള സകലത്തിന്നും മീതെ തന്നെത്താന് ഉയര്ത്തുന്ന എതിരാളി അത്രേ.

4. [Whiche is] an aduersarie, and is exalted aboue all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he as God, sitteth in the temple of God, shewing hym selfe that he is God.

5. നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ ഞാന് ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഔര്ക്കുംന്നില്ലയോ?

5. Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I tolde you these thynges?

6. അവന് സമയത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ വെളിപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇപ്പോള് നടക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

6. And nowe ye knowe what withholdeth, that he myght be reuealed in his tyme.

7. അധര്മ്മത്തിന്റെ മര്മ്മം ഇപ്പോഴേ വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടു; ഇതുവരെ തടുക്കുന്നവന് വഴിയില്നിന്നു നീങ്ങിപോക മാത്രം വേണം.

7. For the misterie of iniquitie doth alredie worke, tyll he whiche nowe onlye letteth, be taken out of the way.

8. അപ്പോള് അധര്മ്മമൂര്ത്തി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും; അവനെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശു തന്റെ വായിലെ ശ്വാസത്താല് ഒടുക്കി തന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയുടെ പ്രഭാവത്താല് നശിപ്പിക്കും.

8. And then shall that wicked be reuealed, whom the Lorde shall consume with the spirite of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightnesse of his commyng:

9. അധര്മ്മമൂര്ത്തിയുടെ പ്രത്യക്ഷത നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നവര്ക്കും സാത്താന്റെ വ്യാപാരശക്തിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം വ്യാജമായ സകലശക്തിയോടും അടയാളങ്ങളോടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളോടും അനീതിയുടെ സകല വഞ്ചനയോടും കൂടെ ആയിരിക്കും;

9. [Euen hym] whose commyng is after the workyng of Satan, in all power & signes, and wonders, of lying,

10. അവര് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം സത്യത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു കൈക്കൊള്ളായ്കയാല് തന്നേ അങ്ങനെ ഭവിക്കും.

10. And in all deceauablenesse of vnryghteousnesse, in them that peryshe: because they receaued not the loue of the trueth, that they myght be saued.

11. സത്യത്തെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ അനീതിയില് രസിക്കുന്ന ഏവര്ക്കും ന്യായവിധി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു

11. And therefore God shall sende them strong delusion, that they should beleue lyes:

12. ദൈവം അവര്ക്കും ഭോഷകു വിശ്വസിക്കുമാറു വ്യാജത്തിന്റെ വ്യാപാരശക്തി അയക്കുന്നു.

12. That all they myght be dampned whiche beleued not the trueth, but had pleasure in vnryghteousnes.

13. ഞങ്ങളോ, കര്ത്താവിന്നു പ്രിയരായ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ ആദിമുതല് ആത്മാവിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധീകരണത്തിലും സത്യത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിലും രക്ഷെക്കായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ദൈവത്തെ എപ്പോഴും സ്തുതിപ്പാന് കടമ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. But we are bounde to geue thankes alway to God for you, brethren beloued of the Lorde, because that God hath fro the begynnyng chosen you to saluation in sanctifiyng of the spirite, & [in] fayth of the trueth:

14. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മഹത്വം പ്രാപിപ്പാനല്ലോ അവന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്താല് നിങ്ങളെ രക്ഷെക്കു വിളിച്ചതു.

14. Wherevnto he called you by our Gospell, to the obteyning of the glorie of our Lorde Iesus Christe.

15. ആകയാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് ഉറെച്ചുനിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് വാക്കിനാലോ ലേഖനത്താലോ ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്ന പ്രമാണങ്ങളെ മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

15. Therfore brethren stande fast, and holde the ordinaunces whiche ye haue ben taught, whether it were by our preachyng, or by our epistle.

16. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുതാനും നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു നിത്യാശ്വാസവും നല്ല പ്രത്യാശയും കൃപയാലെ നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവവും

16. Our Lorde Iesus Christe, and God and our father, whiche hath loued vs, and hath geuen vs euerlastyng consolation, and good hope in grace,

17. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു എല്ലാ നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വാക്കിലും സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുമാറാകട്ടെ.

17. Comfort your heartes, and stablysshe you in all good saying and doyng.
